CELTIC New Bhoy Lewis Morgan has been named Championship Player of the Year after helping St Mirren back to the top flight.

The 21-year-old winger, bought for £300,000 by Brendan Rodgers in January and loaned back to the Paisley outfit, was a key man in Jack Ross’ campaign.

Morgan scored 14 goals in 35 league appearances for the title-winners and will join up with his new team-mates when they restart training at Lennoxtown in mid-June.

He will be in good company at Parkhead with the Premiership Player of the Year Scott Brown and Young Player Kieran Tierney waiting to greet him.

The exciting attacker also has the chance to earn his first senior Scotland cap after being named in Alex McLeish’s international squad for their upcoming summer tour.

The Scots are due to play Peru in Lima a week today and Mexico at the Azteca Stadium on June 2.
