No one offered Celtic job yet

1032

Roy Keane is due at a press conference in Dublin this afternoon and he is sure to be asked about Daily Mail reports this afternoon that he is set to be appointed Celtic manager as early as tomorrow.

It’s pretty clear Celtic have spoken to Keane but NO ONE HAS THE JOB YET, the Club are still speaking to a number of candidates.

We’re going to remain hostages to news reports for a while. The sooner things are sorted the better.

If you missed it earlier………

  5. I will give any Celtic manager 100% backing , however Roy Kean has done absoloutely Nothing to merit being considered as Celtic Manager………………….If Roy Kean was nt Irish he would nt be considered for this gig ……………there i said it……………….off to work ..have a nice day

  6. Morning all. Beautiful day down here at the moment. First time the sun has appeared in a wee while. Just hope it stays put for more than a wee while. Won’t happen, of course.

Well, who’s the latest name in the frame? Please Ghod, it isn’t still Roy Keane. Petrescu sounds a far better bet to me.

If Keane does get the job ,my biggest concern is team spirit. It’s something that can’t be bought, and has to be created from within.RK knows how to kick a player up the backside, can he put his arm round someone who responds better to this? If he ostracises a few guys it could cause divisions in the group.A charismatic No 2 could be a big help.

All we need now is for Peter Lawell to get the Facebook maws under the nose of Dermot Desmond.

Hello yes Keith it’s Peter. I know I don’t call often but have you seen this Facebook page with 90% of Celtic supporters no wanting Kean? What are they like…

Great progress made this visit, me an Mrs Unthank actually agreed on a whisky, almost a miracle;- Jura Elixir, 12 year old, some story about aged 10 years in some special barrells???, can’t remember, drank a little too much.

I visited ACGR yesterday and,if the sausages and black pudding he served up are anything to go by,he does not need any fishing tips.

Re Joey Barton. I did a little research for you. He completed the b licence last year and is due to complete the A licence this summer. Looks like he hasn`t completed yet.

  14. Keane has an image of a surly arrogant angry man but I can tell you he is a very charitable & sound guy in private. He most certainly doesn’t suffer fools gladly and has no time for hangers on but he is genuine & supportive of genuine people. One wee story a family member trains dogs for the Blind in Cork. Roy is a patron and big supporter of the Charity when he is home he is a regular visitor. When Roy was coming last year a big cheese & wine reception was organised, the boys & girls who worked with the dogs were more or less sidelined and the who’s who got their invites to attend. Roy was having none of it, he skipped the cheese & wine and brought all the young workers down to local pub. Bought them all a few drinks & stayed chatting to them for an hour or more before heading on his way.

I think I should start a black pudding war as I have been eating fabulous Islay (Non Stornaway) black pudding all week, followed by venison ( Non Stornaway) burgers. Better than getting all worked up about some managerial position, as far as that is concerned, que sera , sera? Blood pressure needs to stay low, so not going to get too worked up on that subject, actually, when you think about it, all I have to do is phone keithy jacko, chico and BFDJ, they always have the answers!!!

I’ll be honest. Regardless of who gets the managers job I’ll still be a Celtic supporter. I’ll love Celtic for as long as I’m alive. But to qualify this. I love other things in my life much more.

Midgies by the trillion on Jura. Saw lots of sensible people wearing those bee keeper hats, must get one. And- – – first night in the only pub, wearing my CQN cap, and, got verbals form local sevco person, I just laughted and thanked him for 2 years of utter mirth and amusement, and thanked him sincerely for the next few years of the same. It worked a treat!
