No one offered Celtic job yet

1032

Roy Keane is due at a press conference in Dublin this afternoon and he is sure to be asked about Daily Mail reports this afternoon that he is set to be appointed Celtic manager as early as tomorrow.

It’s pretty clear Celtic have spoken to Keane but NO ONE HAS THE JOB YET, the Club are still speaking to a number of candidates.

We’re going to remain hostages to news reports for a while. The sooner things are sorted the better.

If you missed it earlier………

  1. Here, mind you, I did read this today;

Physicists have successfully teleported information between two quantum bits separated by three metres, with their findings published in the journal Science.

Researchers from the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands were able to transfer quantum information, in this case the spin state of an electron, between two quantum bits without altering the state.

Scientists have previously been able to transfer quantum information, but the technique was hugely unreliable, only successfully transferring the data one in every million attempts. Now the physicists are able to transfer the data with 100% accuracy.

The Dutch team managed to improve the reliability by producing quantum bits using electrons trapped in diamonds at very low temperatures, which the New York Times describe as “miniprisons” where the researchers could establish a spin and read the value reliably.

Quantum teleportation could have applications in creating a more secure quantum internet as well as ever more powerful quantum computers.

Whits the big deal? Haven’t they heard of famous Scotsman Keech Jackson? He’s been spinning information for a decade.

That’s not how I remember it.

I thought you were offering your baws on a plate?

Either way, no matter. If it’s for charity, we’ll make sure your baws are toasted in the correct manner.

Would you prefer to remain attached to them during the process or not? This is the big question you’ve been avoiding ya big jessie.

  8. Roy keane has walked away from most problems he’s had to face in his career. The Celtic managerial post will be far from a smooth ride. Not for me thanks.

Doh! Sorry, I have these uncanny urges to do impressions of the Celtic Board members.

Hilariously enough, not so much Peter as the fud who runs BT and ensures that Celtic Supporters are treated as badly as BT customer are. No sorry, worse. He hasn’t worked out how to arrest BT customers yet, as he’s too busy screwing them over for every penny he can get.

  13. BMCUW –

I was worried reading that report of the rioting Hibs casuals, as my son is in Benidorm with his football club on an end-of-season weekend bash.

On closer inspection though, and typical of the Daily Record, the story is at least a week old.

  14. He told STV Sport: “Both [events] are unacceptable in our eyes, completely unacceptable. We have to drive this out of the club. It’s not only doing us harm but Scottish football is harmed.

“It’s one or two silly, juvenile boys doing funny, kid pranks and it’s bringing the whole of Scottish football down. It’s overtaking what was a fantastic performance.

“We’ll weed them out. We know this guy and we’ve got him. There were arrests made last night and these guys will not get back into Celtic Park.

“We will just keep on that road until we have weeded them all out. We’re talking to the supporters organisations about what they can do for the people in the travelling crowd to self-police, the way the Tartan Army do.

“We are looking to take every measure we can take. This has to stop.”

He added: “It is embarrassing and it is doubly disappointing on the heels of a fine over something which was, in the scheme of things, not a major, major fault.”

“Nonetheless, it was a technical offence in UEFA’s eyes and we took the rap and took the fine. For this to come on the back of it is unacceptable.

“The plea I would make to the media is to try and get it all in proportion and take the positives out of last night’s performance.

“We put on a great show last night, up against serious opposition, but the headline becomes what a couple of kids may have done.”

Headlines for me have been Celtic supporters being attacked and arrested in Amsterdam by a local plod force who seemed inspired by something other than their usual approach to a football game. 15 yr old boys being arrested to even up statistics for Scotland’s crime figures…which the current government in Scotland tend to lose anyway.

Half cooked chicken burgers and “stewards” who treat the support like shite.

“Hospitality” which is totally embarassing compared to elsewhere.

All hail the board, who of course haven’t collaborated with the rozzers and the SNP for political ends. Just as well as this would have seen 15 year old boys being arrested in dawn raids in their homes or in their worklace for sing political songs of, dare I say it, freedom.

All hail the board. Great, great job. You heroes. You legends, who do our history proud. And all hail those who can’t help but defend them blindly in these troublesome times for them. All hail the board.

  16. GCT,

Celtic Board: Peter Houstoun, he knows out strategy, and budget limitations. He’ll fail, but we’ll replace him in a year and we’ll ensure the financial strategy carries on, while intimidating those in the support that might pose a threat to us, using the OFB act and the dumb rozzers. LOL, we can’t lose.

CQN: Great, Peter. Thanks, you’re so cool. Can you do a Q&A on CQN, just to shut up the stupid troublesome board bashers. Idiots don’t know a good thing. Lovin yer work by the way. I’m a Celtic ST holder for 110 years, and just love the Celtic, so do what you want. Make cash, and pocket it. I’ll just be glad to hand the reins over to my children and grand children so you can take the pish out of them too. HH The Celtic Board, Celtic Legends, the lot of ye. Especially Ian Bankier. BT are such a good company as well. Love them. Why not give me a premium rate number to complain to the two of you at the same time. I’d pay a tenner a minute just to speak to someone who would actually listen to the complaint and deal with it lol.

A half reliable source told me that Peter Lawwell is due to attend a supporter’s function in Belfast this weekend.

Fair play to the Chief Executive if that is the case.

Not a party political broadvast btw.it is a devolved part..

  20. I’m off. Apols if I seem negative, but we have the greatest club in the world. Why are we allowing ourselves to be hamstrung by money making neanderthals such as those that run BT ffs. That’s the biggest clue as to how we are seen as supporters. Open your feckin eyes. When you do, it’ll scare you deeply, but from there we can move on.

My main thoughts are with every Celtic supporter arrested here or in Amsterdam in the last 2-3 years. Thankfully, we are a club who is doing its best to protect them. Ouch, sorry. Thankfully, we have associations doing this for us now. The club is looking after the money in the meantime. Lol.
