Rested and ready

119

The prospect of Livingston at home in the Scottish Cup quarter finals (trying to be respectful here, but honestly!), and the anticipation of a trip to Hampden in April, let’s us know how little remains of this season’s work.

We have seven away games in the league.  Motherwell, Hearts, Livingston and Newco come before the break.  After the split, we will almost certainly to back to St Mirren for a third time this season and Kilmarnock, also for a third time, with the remaining place still up for grabs.  Two defeats at Kilmarnock (one in the League Cup), spoil an otherwise perfect away record at the top end of the table grounds.

There is a feeling that as the weeks progress and players return to fitness, the games will get easier.  That being the case, Kilmarnock’s visit on Saturday looks like one of the most important games of the season.  After St Mirren, we should be rested and ready.

  1. Steve Wright was an absolute hero of mine. Far and away the best of his generation of great radio presenters. Probably the best ever. Taken from us ridiculously soon. Another tragic incremental sudden death to be mourned.

  2. “Auroraborealis post from earlier.Anyone who did,and did not decry the contents, are the ones with the problem……”

He called those in the israel army terrorists.

The country was founded on terrorism, so he has a very valid point, those unfortunate enough to be present in the King David Hotel will attest to that. As will those aboard the USS Liberty.

Bournesoupreceipe has said nothing that is not borne in fact and those looking to point the finger at him are looking for excuses for those who have caused humanity nothing but grief for well over 1000 years.

  3. Get rid of the all seated, all ticket, Tory shareholding structures – era and split the gate receipts 50 – 50 down the middle and rejuvenate the non old firm teams to take away the Irish league 2 look.

Even the late Tommy Burns said in his excellent “Twists and Turns” book which was ghost written by Hugh Keevins, Tommy’s close friend, Tommy said…

“David Murray and Greame Souness saved Scottish football from becoming like the Irish league.”

Celtic and the huns keeping their own gate money has turned Scottish football into a tartan version of the Irish league only with many more empty plastic seats.

All seating is not safe as we saw only last week with a Celtic fan with his hair on fire and no room to get out of the road.

So, all ‘real’ standing not stupid false safe standing and if your hair goes on fire just rinse it in the rivers of pish flowing down the isles.

Standing was never unsafe until Thatcher’s well drilled officers created danger at Hillsborough sacrificing 97 innocent working class Liverpool FC souls to enable the all seated security state, name, address, email, phone number, bank account number, etc, just to see a football game.

    Propriety pish needs to end.

PS Make this man that the entire media and political class are terrified to face, the UK Prime Minister and Palestine and Ireland will be free…..do it Timmy….just do it.

  4. The huns instigated the ticket constraints. We have adapted and subsequently more of our fans can get to see the Glasgow Derby safely at our own home.

To seize tickets away from our fans in the farcical notion of dporting integrity is absurd.

Wow, sporting integrity and the huns in the same planet. My head hurts.

  5. There was a period when our board members stopped going tae hatebrox, even for reserve games, due tae the abuse they got plus being spat on tae and that included their spouses

No, i tend to pass the time with educational material, not Hollywood whimsy.

With air multi-sign on monikers- there’s a pattern of trolling on a lot of Celtic sites that features ye old right wing vice-signalling- brown scum, Marxist entryists, the Frankfurt School, Kalergi Plan, Davos/WEF, Bill Gates, brown scum, Jewish conspiracies, Hun Lives Matter and a whole host of made up conspiracies – all gained from your own research and, ahem, educational material.

Whether it’s Mr. B on joe’s site or Celts are Here, Lionsroar (not the ex-CQNr of that name) on Mick & Mahe’s site or all your monikers on here, the topic of fascination is the same. Beware the outsider that’s coming to get you. The impression the multi-monikers want to give is that there’s lots of them out there and you better start thinking the same as them. But the reality is it’s just one sad lonely INCEL looking for a tribe to belong to, and you quite like the Hugo Boss uniform.

You can see this when the forces of the right have a rally in Scotland. Whether its the SLD- full of Ibrox, Airdrie & Hearts men, Patriotic Alternative, Britain First they can never muster more than 2 ugly men, a bitter wummin, and a banned breed of dog to rally to their flag.

You could never show your double-face in Celtic company- so you are forced online to a virtual existence. A robot could push yir spiel. Just ask Vlad.

    Paranoid much champ?

I’m in Celtic company every week, waving my Palestine flag, much to the chagrin of many on here. Which i take great enjoyment from.

It also delights me that your obsession, along with others believe that i have several monikers on here.

Paranoid much? We’re all Celtic supporters, not all of us are wanna be transvestites, born at the wrong time. You can always dress up at home though, pass the lonely nights for you.

    Chins up sweetie.

    Beware of Greeks bearing gifts.

Offering 2,750 tickets to Celtic is the rumour for sure, but you’d need to be seriously naive to think Sevco had bowed to pressure. Self inflicted bouts of ‘sporting integity’ I don’t think they tend to suffer either.

Much more likely they think they’ve gained the upper hand in a title race and would like as many of their supporters as possible at Parkhead for the return game.

Integrity in sport means that supporters players, coaches and officials can participate and celebrate sport, confident in the knowledge that they are part of a safe, ethical and inclusive environment.

    I’d leave it as is.

  10. G Fearon

SFTB – Auldheid – Phil Mac etc, etc, bored the drawers aff anybody who reads their Resolution bore-fest palaver for 10+ years of every decimal point being examined to the 33°rd degree….years of changing rules in some rule book that nobody ever will apply to any version of the huns.

    So what was the point?

Long exhausting 20 – 40 paragraph posts that nobody can press stop on their every day stuff to gorge on fkn waffle that haulf the folk who read it passed on their applause out of politeness then never mentioned it again in case they had forgotten what was in the previous 40 paragraphs from 2 weeks ago on Tuesday.

And yet when a single poster points out the most brazen, in your face, deception, since the Lawwell era began like the PLC putting old Rangers £49 priced tickets from 2012….onto new club Sevco tickets £49 also this time in 2016 after the Ibrox club got promoted….this sneaky PLC sell out was drowned out by the happy clappy circus that greeted the arrival of Brendan.1

Brendan.1 came at the cost of fans being duped tricked conned led up the garden path to jump into bed with the PLC and their new pal….the same club lie.

None of these 3 above named yawning chatter boxes have said a single word in seven years about the sneaky same club lie tickets….old club = new club £49 tickets….that tells me that these 3 dupes.…

SFTB – Auldheid – Phil Mac…are controlled opposition at best..who knows what at worst?

They would drop you in it as soon as look at you.

  11. Good morning from a damp North Staffs

Happy St. Valentine’s day 💌 – let’s show a bit of love and understanding on the blog today.

  12. Happy Valentine’s Day to all with the best interests of Celtic in their hearts and in the forefront of their minds.

The team will need all our support and positive energy over the next four months – the going could get tough , let’s hope we are all tough & honest enough to get going

  13. Majestic Hartson on

    418,

I’d be open to sharing gate money more evenly with our opponents.

It’s the league we watch most often and I’d like that to be as competitive as possible with more than just 2 teams.

  14. lets all do the huddle on

be careful what you wish for.

if we had to split gate money our 600 quid season tickets would become 800 quid season tickets at least.

scottish football is already grossly over-priced so that would be a hard sell.

the road to hell is paved….etc

  15. lets all do the huddle on

418 (i assume it stands for Devotee of Adolf Hitler – in a Combat18 style?🤷🏻‍♂️).

anyway, still peddling that 49 quid non-story.

with 53, 500 season ticket holders, then take away players, staff, corporate and sponsor freebies, you will be lucky if there are much more than 2000 tickets that are actually on sale at that price.

2000 or so out of 60000, less than 5% of the tickets

a whole arguement based on less than 5%

    a joker

    😆

  16. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Share gate receipts?

    Wow.

    Where did that come from?

FWIW – big NO from me.

Each Scottish club has opportunities to grow their business.

That includes some historically big clubs.

    They’ve chosen to remain small.

A good barometer of this – check out record home attendances at e.g. East End Park, Easter Road, Rugby Park, Tynecastle and compare these to current stadia capacity.

  17. Mikey Johnston has been told by West Brom boss Carlos Corberan to up his goals tally as he netted within 30 SECONDS on his first full start.

The on-loan Celtic winger scored the opener in his side’s 2-0 victory over Cardiff last night as he put former teammates David Turnbull and Nat Phillips to the sword. It was a dramatic opening and Corberan was delighted with what he saw from the Irishman. The Spaniard hopes to see Johnston do the same more often during his loan stint at the Hawthorns and has explained how he has urged the playmaker to hit the box more often as he knows how to find the net.

“Mikey is a player that offers us a lot of possibilities,” Corberan said. “He is a winger who can play wider than he played today, but at the same time he can play more as a playmaker.

“One of the key things we insist to him, is that he arrives in the box because he’s a player with a very good finish.

“That was the action of the goal, but in general he was helping the team a lot be patient, to switch the side of attack, because he’s someone with a lot of game understanding and quality.”

  18. Johnston’s performance also had Sky Sports pundit Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, who was on duty for the match, describe the Celtic loanee as the “best player on the park” during the second half.

  19. Why should CELTIC accept the ticket offer ? All so our supporters can be abused, threatened, pissed on and whatever else, what about duty of care.

THen when they come to us, they wreck our facilities and so on.

Tell then to go and make love to themselves straight, just tell them to f##k off

    KINGLuBO

  20. I would be all for sharing gate receipts if all clubs supporters paid the same price for tickets.

What a reduction on our season tickets.

  21. This made me smile.
