    I believe that any who says otherwise are kidding themselves on…possibly for reassurance.

     

    It is blatantly obvious that Sevco are miles ahead of all the other teams apart from us.What is less obvious is how far ahead of THEM we are. The LC Final and the League game in December will go some way to answering that. I firmly believe we are the better side but I will only dismiss Sevco when and if we go about nine points ahead.

    All this goal difference talk is meaningless.

     

    Very very very unlikely the league will be decided by goal difference.

     

    Despite what you hear and read sevco are no closer to winning the league than last season.

     

    I believe by the end of the winter break they were level on points with us.

     

    We know what happened then?.

     

    The press are trying to make out that this seasons tight at the top battle is some kind of a new dawn.

     

    Sevco have improved from last season but unfortunately for them so have we

    One question before I depart ?

     

     

    Was it a good decision offering a manager who had just secured another league title & another Scottish cup… who has now led us to the last 32 of the Europa whole topping the group as 3rd seeds and in the final of the Betfred cup while topping the SPL … in the shower ??? Who knows

    LAZYDYNAMITE – I’m with you on that one although, last season, it was at the START of the winter break that we were level on points but we had 1 game in hand. 3 weeks without football and all the talk on the SMSM was of the tight race, etc etc. Within 2 or 3 games we had opened up a lead.

     

    This month they have only 1 more home game – on St Stephen’s day against KIlmarnock (5th).They have 4 away fixtures, traveling to Aberdeen (3rd), Motherwell (4th), HIbs (6th) and Us. By contrast we only have 2 away trips – Hearts(10th) and St Mirren (11th) – with 4 home games against Hamilton (9th), HIbs (6th), Aberdeen (3rd) and Sevco (2nd). If they win 4 of their 5 games in december – all against top 5 opposition – then I’ll concede that we are really in a race

    Never underestimate or let up on der Hun.

     

    This season their record against teams below them in the league is ‘slightly’ better than ours.

     

     

    We need to be at our best – every game in December us now more important than the Lazio game – no slacking off, no mercy.

    Correct, sevco are 3 points better off, against the others teams, compared to us.

     

    I think they’ve worked out that they only have to be better than the rest, not better than us, to have a title race.

     

    The fly in the ointment, for them, was us pumping them at Ibrox.

    By the way Norrie, I did something similar with my vote, had my 3 selected then watched back highlights, when it came to Mikey’s goal. I reasoned it wasn’t his fault he hadn’t longer game time.

     

    But he was a joy to watch when he did come on. So Mikey was in unfortunately it deprived my favourite player a vote but there you go.

    There’s a cracking winning bet been put up on Twitter.

     

    4 guys are sharing winnings of £160,008.00 for £8 pound stake.

     

    It was a ten team accy, goals galore no draw.

     

    9 up yesterday and they were waiting on Blackpool v Maidstone today.

     

    To be fair, they showed the bet before 10th game started, they had asked Betfred about cashout,but they were told no cash out on that particular bet was available.

    Turkeybhoy – it may (or may not) interst you, and others, to know that Aberdeen are 5/1 to win on Wednesday night. Now that does seem very generous. I’m no saying they WILL win, but I expected to see them at maybe 2/1 or 5/2. I may invest 10 shillings.

    Rodgers coming across as very sneaky re Arsenal link. All but admitted he has a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave. Interesting one for KT if Rodgers goes there which i think is getting more likely by the day.
