Aberdeen are on the kind of downward spiral which is difficult to arrest, but there’s more going on that we know about publicly. I would be amazed if their recent run, four defeats and a draw in five games, after winning their opening eight league games, was all to do with matters on the park.
They are a team who look to be in schism. If so, Celtic Park is the perfect venue to pull together. You raise your game at Celtic Park in a way which isn’t likely in Dingwall. Whatever differences that exist will be set aside, we’ll need to be on our game to win.
Craig Whyte’s bankrupt, unable to pay Ticketus the £18m damages they won against him. Craig’s financial strength was plain for all to see, as he made regular trips north on Easyjet in his worn-out attire, owning up to the fact he couldn’t fund the bank repayment, until a clever knight put him onto Ticketus.
Charles Green was equally transparent. Relying on shares-for-backing deals with pliable ‘legends’. Now we have Dave King, overwhelmingly dependent on PR and a compliant media, while the rest of the world is sticking dates in the calendar. The most common question I’m asked these days is “When’s it going to happen?” It’s no longer a matter of “if” it’s going to happen.
The re-writing of history, evident today, will be rolled out again in due course. “We told you about him”, they will scream. Aye, sure you did. You also made it all possible, just as you did with Green, Whyte and Murray.
The trade in favours, exclusive stories, substances and team-handed loose-limbed 60 minute acquaintances, deployed to sustain the project and corral the message over the years is legend. Truly legend. Fraternity on this level takes more than money, a business lunch or a game of golf. If that’s how you think the game is played, these guys will leave you standing. Shed tears for none of them.
The books which will be written when the guilty are dead will sell millions.
Ghirls for Good
Ladies, sign up for this year’s Celtic Foundation Ghirls for Good Christmas lunch. I’m told it’s a riot and one of the best days of the year at Celtic Park…… More here.

There is something reassuring about reading a Tony Donnelly post, maybe not always actually spelling it out but basically he just tells everyone he doesn’t agree with to F**k Off. There is a part of me that wishes I could have had a bit of that attitude all my life.
Anyway I woke up and as soon as my head cleared and I realised Celtic were playing today I got that good feeling that only a Celtic game can generate. Don’t like the 5 nil predictions, just hope the Celts put on a show and get the win.

I listen to SSB, not sure for pleasure or pain but recently Gordon Dalziel has been pretty outspoken in backing Ronny, Keevins is just the panties baddie with a very nasty attitude at times, his treatment of his “friend” Neil Lennon at times was shocking, I suppose with friends like him there would be no need for any enemies, fellow Celtic fans enjoy the game today am Aff Oot in the phrase our Kev should have patented !

‘Ronny told them how others (foreigners) see us.
Exactly. That was where he hit the raw nerve. It reminded me of talking to two Germans in a Cologne pub four years ago. They raved on about the Highlands scenery and even our football history, but finished by sheepishly adding that ‘sorry but Scotland also has a big problem with religion and bigotry’. I told them I couldn’t agree more.
Anyway on returning to work I ran that conversation past some Sevcodgers in my office. All smiles and nodding in agreement, until the punchline about Scotland and bigotry. Talk about raw nerve?
Boom, they went off on one, but making sure they we’re retreating out the door in a rage, blasting out garbled nonsense, obviously avoiding any real debate on a subject they are incapable of. What is it they say about the truth?
The sky is clear.

I want 3 points for Halloween.

Oh yeah?
So, what were all these wonderful successes he was alluding to under his watch?
Winning a one horse race twice?
Winning a LCF v’s Dundee Utd after, Ronny had bought all their best players?
Or, was it how he blew the treble v’s ICT with his daftie team selection / subs / tactics / formation then, hid behind the honest mistake theory?

It’s always great to get 3 points, but it’ll be even better today, as it’s a 6 pointer. Extra incentive, if needed, as well as an opportunity to mount even more pressure on our nearest rivals, whose results of late have been abysmal. Squeeeeeeeze, Bhoys!
See the All Blacks have got all of their Smiths playing today, so no need to panic then!

You’re right, they’re not good at handling the truth, but top-notch when it comes to mangling it.

“It’s ridiculous that we should allow ourselves to make ad hominem attacks on posters who have different opinions.
To paraphrase, opinions are like oxters.
We all have a couple and at least one invariably stinks.”

Well, that went well!
Morning jobo,
Thanks for your reply in the early hours. Your sis and I went to Holy Cross HS (yes,, all those years ago!) – I still spot her in the choir up in St Vincent’s now and then.
Not enjoying a park run this lovely morning before heading for Paradise?
I see our msm are taking Ronny’s comments at his PC badly
