Schisms, corralling the message

926

Aberdeen are on the kind of downward spiral which is difficult to arrest, but there’s more going on that we know about publicly. I would be amazed if their recent run, four defeats and a draw in five games, after winning their opening eight league games, was all to do with matters on the park.

They are a team who look to be in schism. If so, Celtic Park is the perfect venue to pull together. You raise your game at Celtic Park in a way which isn’t likely in Dingwall. Whatever differences that exist will be set aside, we’ll need to be on our game to win.

Craig Whyte’s bankrupt, unable to pay Ticketus the £18m damages they won against him. Craig’s financial strength was plain for all to see, as he made regular trips north on Easyjet in his worn-out attire, owning up to the fact he couldn’t fund the bank repayment, until a clever knight put him onto Ticketus.

Charles Green was equally transparent. Relying on shares-for-backing deals with pliable ‘legends’. Now we have Dave King, overwhelmingly dependent on PR and a compliant media, while the rest of the world is sticking dates in the calendar. The most common question I’m asked these days is “When’s it going to happen?” It’s no longer a matter of “if” it’s going to happen.

The re-writing of history, evident today, will be rolled out again in due course. “We told you about him”, they will scream. Aye, sure you did. You also made it all possible, just as you did with Green, Whyte and Murray.

The trade in favours, exclusive stories, substances and team-handed loose-limbed 60 minute acquaintances, deployed to sustain the project and corral the message over the years is legend. Truly legend. Fraternity on this level takes more than money, a business lunch or a game of golf.  If that’s how you think the game is played, these guys will leave you standing.  Shed tears for none of them.

The books which will be written when the guilty are dead will sell millions.

Ghirls for Good

Ladies, sign up for this year’s Celtic Foundation Ghirls for Good Christmas lunch.  I’m told it’s a riot and one of the best days of the year at Celtic Park……  More here.

Your euros paid for a great holiday thanks8))

I have a fab pic of macjay with his socialist workers paper and will gladly forward it to you

I am now using puffin browser on iphone and no pop ups or adds

Tried again via safari and couldnt pass game of war

  2. As expected the BBC and others will twist to suit their agenda. After Ronny answered the initial question to the girl from Clyde 1, Lamont from the BBC follows up with ‘do you think it’s reasonable to say everyone wants you to lose’. At no point in 3 minutes of speaking did Ronny say that. Not only are these people corrupt they are complete morons too.

  3. I am one of RD’s biggest critics but I would have cheered him if I had been there among those twisted SMSM bar stewrds.

  4. Evening folks,

Still to be convinced if Ronny is the real deal. A lot to learn regarding how he sets up his team in my opinion. However massive respect to him today for hitting back at the anti-Celtic agenda that we live with day in day out in the country.

Have huge doubts about Ronny, but i like a lot of his ideas to take the club forward and like him as a person. However he will be quite rightly judged on what happens on the pitch, and for me the jury is still out, although I desperately want him to succeed, especially after his comments today.

Would also love to see him receiving backing from the club for his comments today. Could the club take this as the first step in taking the fight to the media and our enemies. Start by arranging a boycott of Ladbrokes and the reasons why as stated by Paul67 in his article yesterday.

Take every opportunity to expose the incompetence and rule breaking by the SFA for the benefit of one club, hopefully coinciding with the facts regarding resolution 12.

One thing runny referenced was the ‘clicks’ the media hope to get….

Still plenty watching, listening and reading there stuff?

Celtic should deliberately and consistently galvanise the support on Deila’s lead. He’s reset the die and reminded many today of who we are, but more importantly why we are.

No, just enjoying keeping an eye on the posts/replies on JohnJames site.

Enjoyable and informative – when could you ever have said those two things about a Newco blog?

Hugh Keevins 30/10/15 on Ronny….. “He is just saying what the Celtic fans want to hear”

The ignorance of the man is pretty astonishing, since Dave Murray & the BoS sponsored fit a team he has paid for his daughters weddings by writing what the “people” want to read

  8. Dan

Mibbe you should be Celtic manager instead.

You sound as if you would do a better job than most.

    Go on then son.

  9. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

English – Mark Warburton has been “fantastic”.

Err, so Ronny Deila is only doing what he should be doing with the budget he has compared with other teams in the league. But Warburton is “fantastic”!

    Unbelievable!

I was talking to another Cqner earlier in the week and was telling the story about MacJay and the said socialist paper…..

  11. Just watched the 7 minutes of the press conference. Well done Ronny.

Hopefully he will retain that style in all future press conferences.

When did Tony Donnelly become a troll?

  12. up_over

He’s speaking in a second language, and he’s an utter credit, he’s also clearly caught the vibe that any neutral in charge of the only very big appealing Corinthian club could get, that history showed that cheats win.

I like that, in a young new method manager, – we could have a Daily Record – dud Czech

In a personal touchy feely way I know Tims that like the cut of Jozo’s gib.

It was indeed the socialist paper

I got off train and was on phone to my cousin

Signed the petition and as it was day after payday gave the boys a tenner

I then spent money on cqn badges and lms only to fall on my sword because i didnt read the rules and picked citeh more than once

  15. Tony Donnelly is a died in the wool Celtic supporter.

    With attitude.

    Well. naebdy’s perfect!

  16. With the rags there is an element of choice, buy or not to buy (hopefully not to buy) With the BBC it’s in the licence fee and that’s what makes them think they are untouchable.

After their reporting today they need to be banned. As someone has said they want Celtic news….buy the View.

  17. Please Celtic hammer the sheep worriers tomorrow.

It should mean a day off for the sheep on Monday, at least.

Name ANY manager in Scottish football HISTORY that is only judged by his European Record.

RD peerless in domestic competition (compare his cup record to GS or NL) , so lets rewrite the rules so we can lay into our Manager.

    Your worse than the MSM

    Gerry

  22. Many Celtic supporters, especially those of. Certain vintage don’t do computers.

They rely on vehicles like the BBC to see and hear thinks Celtic. It is frankly insulting to think that they cannot make up their own minds in what is real and what is drivel.

It is not a new concept for them and it was much more blatant in the days before blanket tv coverage.

Bans don’t work, never have and never will. Let our supporters decide what they want to hear and what to switch off. Eg it was on Sky news that I listened to Ronny talking sense, the same vehicle that some on here advocate binning.

That is what choice is all about. Simples switch off if you desire, but the choice must be for each individual.

In approx 25 mins time a programme about the biggest hoax of all takes place on Channel 5. Again it is up to the individual what they believe. But they must hear it and individually decide.

Choice my friends in Celtic is what we do in a democracy.

Hope you are well my friend!

  28. Jobo…

Thanks for posting the link to RD’s interview.

Well said our manager, cap doffed.

Now like some, I’m still underwhelmed by our performances in Europe since Ronnie took the mantle, especially the Molde game, his dogmatic style which he won’t desist from frustrates me.

At home, he has the measure and will be a success, he is still learning his trade and maybe realise a plan B should/could be an option.

I especially liked his reference to how a new team with the same hunbase are treated differently, it makes me wonder if the big fenian hand put some words in RD’s mouth…hopefully, not before time.

Have a good night jobo ;) HH
