Schisms, corralling the message

926

Aberdeen are on the kind of downward spiral which is difficult to arrest, but there’s more going on that we know about publicly. I would be amazed if their recent run, four defeats and a draw in five games, after winning their opening eight league games, was all to do with matters on the park.

They are a team who look to be in schism. If so, Celtic Park is the perfect venue to pull together. You raise your game at Celtic Park in a way which isn’t likely in Dingwall. Whatever differences that exist will be set aside, we’ll need to be on our game to win.

Craig Whyte’s bankrupt, unable to pay Ticketus the £18m damages they won against him. Craig’s financial strength was plain for all to see, as he made regular trips north on Easyjet in his worn-out attire, owning up to the fact he couldn’t fund the bank repayment, until a clever knight put him onto Ticketus.

Charles Green was equally transparent. Relying on shares-for-backing deals with pliable ‘legends’. Now we have Dave King, overwhelmingly dependent on PR and a compliant media, while the rest of the world is sticking dates in the calendar. The most common question I’m asked these days is “When’s it going to happen?” It’s no longer a matter of “if” it’s going to happen.

The re-writing of history, evident today, will be rolled out again in due course. “We told you about him”, they will scream. Aye, sure you did. You also made it all possible, just as you did with Green, Whyte and Murray.

The trade in favours, exclusive stories, substances and team-handed loose-limbed 60 minute acquaintances, deployed to sustain the project and corral the message over the years is legend. Truly legend. Fraternity on this level takes more than money, a business lunch or a game of golf.  If that’s how you think the game is played, these guys will leave you standing.  Shed tears for none of them.

The books which will be written when the guilty are dead will sell millions.

Ghirls for Good

Ladies, sign up for this year’s Celtic Foundation Ghirls for Good Christmas lunch.  I’m told it’s a riot and one of the best days of the year at Celtic Park……  More here.

The sole objective of the Reporting Scotland piece this evening was to ridicule Ronny. It was disgraceful.

What i cant understand is your hatred towards how our custodians have turned their back on what our forefathers started whilst doing the same yourself?

You have gone from Scotland being anti catholic to it being racist because it suits your agenda

  3. I Hope we smash that mob tomorrow…McInnes is of the same ilk as the sleekit one. Loved by the SMSM but unfortunately for them he’s like Comical Ally- not the new Messiah.

  5. So according to the current wisdom of the laptop loyal, we have only had one successful manager in our long history. Jeez and here was me thinking all these years that we have been pretty good. Seems I have Been deluded all that time.

We still have the “plants” coming on and denigrating everything about Celtic at every opportunity. We even have some who come on at times of harmony and unity on the blog and manufacture a controversy where there was none before.

The media are no friends of Celtic’s but for some our Board are the “Enemy “.

Before anyone says it I do not support Lord Livingston and his party in their attack on the low paid to fund tax breaks and sweetheart deals for their friends in the City.

  6. Wow…just Wow

    NOW thats news!!

After careful consideration the Board has determined that it is not appropriate to proceed with a share issue and listing on the ISDX market until the criminal proceedings being brought against Charles Green, Imran Ahmed, Craig Whyte and others are concluded.

The Board is satisfied that from a financial perspective there is no short term requirement for the funding that would have flowed from a share issue and that any funds that may be required for the Group will be made available as and when required from the existing shareholder / lenders.

Dave King, Douglas Park, George Letham and George Taylor have reaffirmed their commitment to making further loan facilities available to Rangers International Football Club PLC (RIFC) on the same no fees and no interest basis as the existing loan facilities and have also confirmed the continuation of the existing facilities which they are providing to RIFC on the same basis.

The facilities to be made available more than cover the projected shortfall for this Season and beyond. The Board further understand that additional facilities can be made available as and when required for investment in the team. Any such investment will be reviewed on a case by case basis in accordance with prior statements.

The Group’s accounts will be circulated to shareholders for approval in the next few days.

The lenders have indicated that, at an appropriate juncture, they would be prepared to convert their loans into share capital. To facilitate this, a resolution will be presented to the AGM to permit shares to be issued by RIFC on a non pre-emptive basis. The Board would like to see this resolution passed but this is not a condition of funding being made available. The resolution will be a special resolution and would require the support of 75% of those shareholders voting at the AGM. The Board recognises that funding of the sort being provided by its shareholder / lenders would more naturally be made available as an equity investment and believes it would be in the best interests of RIFC’s shareholders if the loans could be converted

Got your wee “monster mash” in an email at 7.20am(ish) this morning, Miss GFTB jumping around the living room doing the “mash” was a sight to behold (it’s usually about 8am before she moves off the couch for school)

Willie Miller and Michael Stewart take a bow. Loving your work. Balance and fairness.

Thanks to Jobo for posting the Ronny link at 6:53pm. If the players show the same passion tomorrow, it will be a great afternoon at Celtic Park.

This seemed like a call to us supporters that Celtic management and players agree with us in condemnation of the smsm. United we must stand!
