Leigh Griffiths has had plenty of uncomplimentary discourse written about him this season, most of it deserved, so it should be recorded that he was the first Hibs player to return applause in the direction of Celtic fans yesterday, closely followed by his team-mates.
This is the way football should be. For too long our game has been poisoned by the unique kind of rivalry you got in Scotland. More of the same, please.
You can contribute to the 1254125 1254125 call to ensure Celtic retain our affinity with our founding cause by buying a raffle ticket for a fabulous framed Celtic top, signed by the equally-fabulous Seville squad. Do it today.
Willie Wallace had a great time signing copies of his Heart of a Lion at Waterstons in East Kilbride and Falkirk this afternoon. East Kilbride was busier but the photos of stock Falkirk (below) before and after tells you all about his day. I hear our most recent treble winning captain came alone for a book at East Kilbride.
We’re at Waterstones, Stirling, on Thursday evening for late night shopping, will confirm times tomorrow. If you can’t make it along you can still order your signed copy below.

Happy Birthday,bud.
Born at a perfect time to miss the drought and enjoy the flood that Jock ushered in.
For those of us who survived the drought the flood was all the sweeter.

Hi,
Long time lurker, first post, not a hun!
Just wanted to say if anyone is free around 6:30 pm this evening in Coatbridge a wreath will be laid at Michael Dolan’s grave (Celtic’s first goalkeeper). It would be nice if there was a few folk present.

Interesting to hear Crystal Palace will earn £120m for failure, that is promotion then relegation. It is a great credit to the current custodians that we are in a healthy financial state and are not embarrassed in Europe, where would Celtic be in world football if we had access to these riches?

Islam/Achill. Cannae tell the difference. Must be them kafflick schools again.
Nick Griffin really is an odious individual. I wonder if he wants this rule applied to all religions…..and has he really thought about the last sentence ? Where on earth would you deport a ‘british born traitor’ to ?
Nick Griffin MEP @nickgriffinmep 5m Time to stop all Islamic teaching in prisons. Keep out imams, put Islamists in solitary & deport them on release. British-born traitors too.
Cheers Celtic,a mighty cup final victory.I hope we can go on and build from here just as we did in this last year.
I congratulate Celtic on the 125th anniversary of their first game.I thank them for the part they have played in giving people a sense of identity and hope within their new communities.
Although today,Celtic are of world renown in the football world, and rightly so for their 125 years of continious work, it is this sense of identity, the sense of helping the weak, the poor, those less fortunate combined with those football achievements and our fans which makes me proud to say I am a Celtic fan.
I am a Celtic fan…….. a simple line, that somes up me and my humanity.
have a great day Celts.

I believe it was “island” they got confused with “islam”
Easy mistook to mike… hence the “river islam” and “stone islam” gags

I find it comforting when Griffin says stuff I disagree with.
Forgot to say, the grave is in Old Monkland Cemetary.

We’ll definitely sort something out.
Interesting reading that report of our first ever game. The referee, Mr. McFadden (Edinburgh Hibs) may have been the man who gavel Brother Walfrid the idea for starting Celtic.
I’m sure I read an account in one of the Celtic histories that after they won the Scottish Cup in 1887, the Hibs team stopped at St. Mary’s, Calto to parade the Cup to their Glasgow wellwishers and a Mr. mcFadden told the assembled throng that Glasgow, too, could have their own (Irish) team.
Good quiz question for the future, ” we all know that Neil McCallum scored the first ever goal for Celtic but who scored the other 4 goals against Rangers in our first ever game?”
On another note that, even then, we had a good goal ruled out against Them. :-))

had to read that twice.
Really thought i had heard it all from them, but that beggars belief .
They really are a bunch of low lifes.
Hope they never darken our doorstep again.
Actually think i am more disappointed in myself that it surprised me .At 53 i really should know better.
Henriks Sombrero,
I’m sure Griffin would think of somewhere. They’re not really British of course just born here, so clearly have another heritage. Bit like a “Glasgow born Irishman” really ….
I remember having a discussion in a London pub with a right wing nutter who was proud to be a true Englishman of Anglo Saxon stock. He just didn’t get it when I asked him what part of England Saxony was in.

Twat probably thinks we can still send them to Australia….

50 SHADES OF GREEN
Easy mistake to make-awfy difficult counting all those candles….
Woy Hodgson seems to be another Little Englander. Even if Fraser Forster won the CL with Celtic, the England manager would probably say that to get in the England squad he would first have to play in the “greatest league in the world”.
This man is trying to undermine Celtic.

Is there such a thing as a little Celticer?
Fraser Forster hasn’t played well since he came back from injury.
That’s more likely to be the reason he’s not in the England squad than the fact he plays in Scotland.
Which is where he was playing when he was selected for the squad.
