SFA lawyers examine illegal registration responses

1119

BBC today revealed that the SFA’s legal team are examining responses from the Associations 93 clubs to a letter dated 9 March, which reminded clubs of their responsibility to record financial records with the SFA and asking them to declare they have complied over the last 10 years.

The inquiry was established after reports that Rangers had illegally registered players for over a decade, excluding payments which were not taxed.  We can presume that as the legal team are investigating, there was at least one response which returned a noncompliance.

The SFA issued a deadline for responses of 6 April and under Article 86.1 any club not responding in a timely manner would be in breach, so it’s unclear why it has taken over two months to get to this stage, so why the legal team are only “examining responses”.

We look forward to hearing an early comment on this crucial matter from the executive.  It is enormously unfortunate that the SFA were unable to inform their AGM of the findings on Wednesday. BBC report that the Association legal team have yet to report to the Compliance Officer, which is the next step.

Cha Du Ri on his exit from Celtic…

After announcement regarding my transfer to new club, I received so many messages of celebration from Celtic fans. I really appreciate your messages, all you guys. Past 2 years, it was really happy time for me. Because I was the member of a top club in the world and with best mates. Yes, I was not top player but I always did my best for my best club when chances were given. I want to say my compliment again to my celtic suppoters for their support to me. Also. I want to appreciate My manager Neil Lennon for giving me a chance to play in best club in the world. With all my heart, I pray for celtic to make good new season. Also wherever will it be, I support Celtic. Thank you and cheerio..

    (1) were all the players freed today or did we pick up money for any one?

    (2) what type of wages were the players on?

thanks to anyone that takes the time out to answer those for me.

  4. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!..Truth and Justice will always prevail on

I feel it is now fair to assume that our Football Authorities are employing delaying tactics on ALL actions due to be taken against the club which has conspired to destroy Scottish Football over a long period.

When the CVA is rejected, and HMRC appoint their Liquidator, the emphasis will move to minimising punishments being ‘transferred’ to the newclub.

I read that earlier and it got the missus and me talking about ex Celts and the fondness they have retained for our club. Quite incredible the impact we have on ‘outsiders’.

bournesouprecipe – Cha reminds me a bit of Mo Camara.

Neither of them were world-beating players, but both had the right attitude and spirit and seemed to be genuinely thankful for the chance to don the hoops.

I’ll never forget how delighted Cha was when we lifted the Scottish Cup last season. (thumbsup)

I know that when you come on here at this time of night that you’re on for a laugh, a bit of banter and some good music.

My post wasn’t to offend but I would hope, and pray, that come my time I wouldn’t have hurt one person in the way that Thatcher has hurt millions.

    HT,

Elvis C was the main man. Saw Oliver’s Army getting an airing on one of those retro TOTP programmes a few days ago, with a full explanation behind the lyrics.

I’ve a ton of respect for songwriters that sing about what matters and don’t take the easy route of singing the simplistic easy selling lyrics.

    Like the youtube user’s words :)) :

“i ran out of pictures of the evil one to add to the end of the song before i vomited.”

They can re-write the history books all they want, but their evil will never be forgotten.

Have been a big fan of Costello for years and have had the good fortune to see him twice.

Adele went up in my estimations when she was filmed at home and I saw Elvis Coslello and Billy Bragg books on her shelves.

Thank goodness that the Euros have started, todays prices were really good for our goals bets, just missed out on a cracking 15/1 because of the 1-1 game.

5.5 odds for the 2nd game (over 3.5) made up for just missing the double I had on earlier. Incredible odds when you think about it.

    bournesouprecipe

I am so Glad that Cha Du Ri played for Celtic, I have never seen a more amazing smile than that mans, and as Neil himself said once, he was an under rated player. Going back to the Bundesliga is no mean feat, especially with that League becoming the strongest in Europe now.

I don’t have any wish for Margaret Hilda to die soon.

Justice dictates that she should go on for as long as is possible, living with the guilt of her hellish atrocities.

She can not have long enough, to contemplate the hundreds of drowning young men in the freezing South Atlantic or those slowly dying in Long Kesh.

I wish her a very long life.

  23. philvisreturns on

JimmyQuinnsBits – Socialism? what do you consider it to be?

Socialism is a system where man exploits his fellow man, whereas capitalism is just the opposite. (thumbsup)

I remember Gordon, Syme and Davidson but Dallas takes the biscuit. His da ran the Motherwell loyal (or something) bus. Thats enough for starters.

Btw can anyone remember him appearing on Family Fortunes? Must have been around early 80’s.

    Cannot stand him. Top cheat.

    HT,

None of the “big” musicians seem to have the balls to say it as it is after JL’s fate. Gives us a bit of respite that folk like them can still stand up and be counted. Generally though, it seems like the voice of common sense is growing more quiet by the day.

Socialism is giving a young lady the extra 20p that she requires to pay her bus fare home instead of being put off the bus and raped because nobody cared enough.

Greed and self importance has made Socialism redundant in modern society I’m afraid.
