SFA lawyers examine illegal registration responses

1119

BBC today revealed that the SFA’s legal team are examining responses from the Associations 93 clubs to a letter dated 9 March, which reminded clubs of their responsibility to record financial records with the SFA and asking them to declare they have complied over the last 10 years.

The inquiry was established after reports that Rangers had illegally registered players for over a decade, excluding payments which were not taxed.  We can presume that as the legal team are investigating, there was at least one response which returned a noncompliance.

The SFA issued a deadline for responses of 6 April and under Article 86.1 any club not responding in a timely manner would be in breach, so it’s unclear why it has taken over two months to get to this stage, so why the legal team are only “examining responses”.

We look forward to hearing an early comment on this crucial matter from the executive.  It is enormously unfortunate that the SFA were unable to inform their AGM of the findings on Wednesday. BBC report that the Association legal team have yet to report to the Compliance Officer, which is the next step.

I mind sitting all night with a pal and the vino looking at all the political options.

By 8am we both agreed none will work because humanity will get in the way.

The closest thinking to this is I think communism, but again, it’s far too easily corrupted.

The only solution is a timewarp/ quantum leap of 200 years to Star Trek like evolution. And that will only work in 200 yrs if the proper educational values are implemented right now.

Sadly, in Scotland, we are still regressing let alone thinking of the future.

Now I feel like screaming !!!!

So do I but it is something that needs to exist within individuals, governments would simply spoil for more in my opinion.

JimmyQuinnsBits – growth, in a world of finite resources, is an illusion

    Resources aren’t finite though.

A wise geologist once said “oil is found in the minds of men”.

What he meant by that was that we exploit petroleum resources because of the imagination, ingenuity, and audacity, of men with the guts and brains to go out and find it.

We can apply that to the wider economy. Resources in general are found in the minds of men. Our can-do spirit and willingness to learn and take risks is what creates resources. Silicon and uranium were once considered worthless, today they’re extremely valuable because we’ve learned how to exploit them to meet our needs and wants.

Human ingenuity is what got us out of the stone age, and is still our best hope for the future.

The universe is our oyster. (thumbsup)

Every night should be politics night on CQN.

Thatcher is the personification of the type of politician who is unable to define their philosophy aside from ‘…got to get elected…’

She pandered to the right wing press, sold industry to the lowest bidder, squandered north sea oil revenue, p1ssed away the money raised from bargain basement sell-offs of BT, TSB etc, actively participated in prolonging the NI situation, covered up the deaths of peaceful protesters (Blair Peach), sold the country’s media to one man, sold off the council housing stock whilst refusing to allow councils to replace what they had lost, introduced a method of local taxation which disenfranchised the poorest, collaborated with Shirley Porter in the political cleansing of Westminster Borough, she was involved in numerous dodgy arms deals and last, but by no means least, she provoked a war which saw hundreds killed in order to get elected.

She wasn’t the first, she won’t be the last, she is amongst the worst.

Sadly the world will always produce people like Maggie because WE are greedy, selfish & stupid. I suppose WE deserve what WE vote for.

No matter, even by our selfish standards, Maggie & her arms dealing, gun running, murdering, bribing, thieving & war- mongering clan, were a giant step into an unnecessary Hell.

Philvis, with the greatest respect, and I mean that, they are.

Anything else is just poetic hogwash which, by the way, I enjoy, but isn’t relevant to a political discussion. We may find new ways to exploit existing resources, or we may find new resources to exploit, but they are finite. I understand the concept of striving for growth in competitive terms, and I understand the great weakness in socialism – incentive.

We’re beginning to glimpse it now, but we won’t pay for it. The growth culture, and the acceleration of consumption it needs to survive, will bear a price paid by your and my children and grandchildren.

Interestingly, the modern Luciferian argument is that Lucifer (the light bearer) is the symbol of freedom from God (ie religion), aka freedom from morals, aka no concern for others.

“Thou shalt do as thou wilt” is very commonly represtented in modern culture now as the new way of “thinking”. It’s being actively pushed in music videos – yes, the actual written words themselves. For proof you only need to search the term on youtube and see the music videos where it is represented.

It applies to politics, and can be crudely (but with relevance) reduced to socialism v capitalism.

The Crowley sentiment of “do what thou wilt” has been embraced by contemporary culture.

I’m an atheist, but this is a very genuine concern. You don’t have to believe in the devil per se to embrace this twisted philosophy, which is being regarded by the young as a form of rebellion. The political shift in the past 20 years is something we should all be worried about.

    I’m an optimist, James.

I think you’re dead wrong. Our children and grandchildren will be richer and freer than we are, just as we’re richer and have more choices than our grandparents did. And they in turn were far better off than their grandparents before them.

Malthusian despair has been with us for a long time, yet the world has steadily gotten better. Not always and not always at the same time, but in general it’s best to bet on optimism:

Less sanctions after being forced to embrace capitalism. The regime needed changing anyway, but sadly, it was done in the wrong way, and is only going to create another mental greedy country of ginormous proportions.
