TWO YEARS ON: CELTS BACK IN CHASE FOR COLLADO

CELTIC are back on the trail of Barcelona forward Alex Collado – TWO YEARS after CQN reported their original interest.

Ange Postecoglou has been alerted to the news the versatile 23-year-old raider will be allowed to leave the Nou Camp on loan before the August 31 deadline, according to the Scottish Sun.

Greek outfit Olympiakos and Spanish side Girona are also showing an interest in Collado who can play through the middle or on the wing.

TARGET MAN…Alex Collado is reported to be back on Celtic’s radar.

Barca boss Xavi is eager for the player to get game-time following a successful temporary spell with Granada last season. He has only made two first-team appearances for the Catalan giants.

The lure of Champions League football could sway Collado in the direction of the Scottish title winners following Postecoglou’s comments last week that the club will remain “active and alert” while the current window remains open.

That also takes in players such as Christopher Jullien, Albian Ajeti and Mikey Johnston who could all move either on permanent or loan deals within the next three weeks.
