A victory for ugly men everywhere

921

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has managed to register his image rights on the off-shore tax-efficient territory of Guernsey.  Income received there for use of his rights everywhere else will not attract the kind of tax mere mortals pay in their daily lives.

Pellegrini, 60, developed a genial personality to combat profound ugliness, an affliction which has affected him for decades, so news that his image has commercial value is a wonderful boon for the multi-millionaire.  Manchester City will also benefit as any monies they pay for use of their manager’s image will not attract tax or National Insurance contributions.

Uefa president, Michele Platini, who has never had to worry about ugliness, now has a different challenge.  Whether or not to abandon his well-meaning Financial Fair Play aspirations, or get ugly on those who try to usurp his best intentions.

Under this act you would be committing a crime mate.

If you travelled from Australia for the home game v Ajax and you were caught on camera singing Roll of Honour in Singapore airport, under this act you could be charged. However if your wife who may be with you and had just came over to visit her relations was also singing same song, she wouldn’t be committing a crime.

  10. The Daily Express runs with the following headline . . .

Barcelona eyeing up Celtic forward Georgios Samaras

    The story under the headline:

Reports in Spain say new coach Gerardo Martino wants to add a more direct forward to his squad, so there is a Plan B when Lionel Messi and Neymar aren’t hitting it off.

He was impressed by Samaras’ performance in last week’s 1-0 loss to Barca at Parkhead, and is also aware that the Greek opened the scoring when Celtic lost to a last minute goal in the Nou Camp last season.

The 28-year-old was brought to Parkhead, initially on loan, from Manchester City in January, 2008 and made the move permanent in a £1.2million transfer that summer.

However, his current contract expires at the end of this season and Barca, who have also been linked with a move for goalkeeper Fraser Forster, could snap him up in a cut-price deal in January or reach a pre-contract agreement to take him for nothing in May.

In a poll published in Barcelona-based newspaper El Mundo Deportivo yesterday, 41 per cent of those who took part voted for Samaras to be signed.

Second choice was Lazio’s German striker Miroslav Klose, with 26 per cent of the votes.

The last player Barca took from the Hoops was Henrik Larsson, who won two titles, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League in his two seasons with the Catalans.

So in other words, Samaras might be the sort of player Barcelona might be interested in.

    Lazy journalism at its best.

you might be breaking the law?

  14. ROH is not a sectarian song ; that said a fitba match is not the place to sing about those young men and momen who gave their lives for a cause ….in my humble opinion.

However Alex Salmond and Christine “let’s even up the stats by charging innocent young Celtic fans ” have seriously underestimated the effect of their Bill. It is targeted towards football fans in general and specifically at Celtic fans. It will cause them votes. I for one and my 2 sons will vote No. Now to convince the Boss and the daughters , but plenty of time to work on them.

I have convinced many others throughout economic, defence , opportunity arguments etc. Why do I care as it makes no difference to me one way or the other. I am penning this note from Berlin and will be in Paris tomorrow and be in the UK for the weekend. The reason is I despise Salmond and Graham for the jailing of innocent young Celtic fans. This Police Scotland and Focus is the first salvo in Almonds new world. I didn’t see this charlatan who also has his residence in Charlotte Square speak up when his fellow men and women of an Edinburgh jury lassoed a not guilty verdict on the Celtic manager whose assault was witnessed by millions around the world. Any other political leader would have spoken out. Not this one who quietly ignored it.

I will do everything in my power to influence family and friends and my wider network to vote No. I even convinced one of my taxi drivers on returning to Scotland ( a true blue ) that we must save the union from this scoundrel in Edinburgh. Whatever it takes to ensure a No vote.

Salmond and Christine Graham are responsible for innocent young Celtic fans being targeted on a weekly basis. The legislation with a zealot focus group is executing this missippii like justice. I suppose if the charges don’t stick they could aways use an Edinburgh jury to get it over the line. I would be surprised if Salmond and Christine Graham were vying to be the jury foreman/forewoman.

Salmond your time is over and you can go back to the Masonic clique in your precious life as a failed junior bank manager.

  15. So, I hope I am breaking the law by posting this poem.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………..

Our Bobby came for Maggie, he offered her his hand.

She asked if he was consort, to the promised land ?

“Ah sure your passage will be safe, there’s plenty there to meet”

Maggie smiled and went with him, till she felt the heat!

“What is this place you take me, where is my throne and crown?

Our Bobby said to Maggie, “I think your going down !”

Ten brave men stood in judgement, deciding on her fate.

The eternal burning fires of hell, or heavens pearly gates.

The first to speak was Raymond, he looked her up and down

With Francis, Joe and Michael standing close, Maggie gave a frown.

While we hungered for justice, your judgement sealed our fate.

It’s the fires of hell for you, ye bitch not heavens pearly gates.

Then Thomas, Kevin, Kieran and Patsy all gave their thought

If Maggie should enter the gates of paradise or not

Martin smiled at Bobby they agreed her fate was sealed.

For crimes again the IRISH, compassion she would not yield.

Then St Peter gave a smile at Gods chosen men

For they were her jury, those bold courageous ten.

He asked what they decided, what is her fate, do tell ?

Bobby smiled and pushed her, into the fiery bowels of hell
