ABADA FACES CELTIC CRUNCH

LIEL ABADA looks to be heading for the Celtic exit.

The Israeli international winger is the target for three unnamed MLS clubs, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Abada missed the 2-0 Scottish Cup fourth-round victory over St Mirren in Paisley last weekend because he was not mentally attuned.

The 22-year-old goalscoring wide Bhoy will NOT be involved in the Premiership encounter against Kilmarnock at Parkhead this afternoon as speculation grows over the future of the player who cost £3.5million when Ange Postecoglou signed him from Maccabi Petah Tikva in July 2021.

DECISION TIME…Liel Abada faces the crunch over Celtic future.

The champions booted out a £7million bid from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon in September only days before the exciting raider signed a contract extension until the summer of 2027.

However, since the outbreak of the conflict between his country and Palestine, Abada has grown increasingly unsettled at Parkhead and boss Brendan Rodgers concedes the youngster may have made his last appearance for the Hoops.

Abada was a loan target for clubs in England, Germany and France in last month’s transfer window, but the deadline passed before any business was concluded, but the door is open for a switch to the States where clubs have until April 23 to add signings to their squad.

The Hoops have not received a firm offer for Abada, but are bracing themselves for some movement within the next couple of months to resolve a delicate situation.
