I was just about to reply to your post when I noticed your comment to Ernie.
I’ll not bother now, thanks.
Superb tonight.
The worrying thing for scottish football is not ‘the gap’ but the fact that the second best team in the country DON’T PLAY ANY FOOTBALL !!
Kick, rush, pull, snarl, lump it forward.
Perhaps giving players performance bonuses for something other than how dirty their shorts are at full time would be a start.
Night all and hail hail.
Not much improvement there in 15 years,

I said it in 2012, it will take 15 years to get us back to where we are – nothing has changed my mind about it
They CAN get stupider.
HT
What an awayday mate. Enjoy.
SAINT STIVS
The comments from Sourness may have sounded crass but they are none the less accurate. It occurring to me years ago that the Huns 9 in a row was based on three football tragedies.
First, the Ibrox disaster in 1971. (The third Ibrox disaster actually).
Rangers subsequently decided to go all seater.
Fast forward to 1985 to the Heysel and Bradford disasters. Following this it was decided by the Government and Football authorities that every ground in the UK had to be all seated.
This was a massive undertaking for every club – except Rangers.
This is what Sourness is alluding to. While every other club had to divert resources to stadium building – and remember what it did to a White/Kelly run Celtic – Rangers had no such worries.
Of course, the Heysel disaster was a double whammy for English club’s as they were banned from Europe for 5 years.
This allowed Sourness to hoover up a dozen English International players like Butcher, Woods & Wilkins who wanted to participate in European football.
Rangers would never have won their 9 if it hadn’t been for these circumstances. We probably were non competitive for 4 seasons due to the obstinance of the old board in moving aside for Fergus and then his focus on the infrastructure rather than the team, which was where he and Tommy Burns clashed.
I’m on my 6th Heineken so apologies if this post seems crass or too brutal.
I hope it is Time for more Celtic GOODNESS

BACK TO BASICS – GLASS HALF FULL
“it will take 15 years to get us back to where we are”
Now that is a vicious cycle.
Can you post some more, please?

I get what you are saying. But, mate you are failing to see the seismic changes Brendan is trying to bring to The Tic primarily around ball retention, composure and leading to a higher level of football, that any Celtic team has aspired too.
He is trying to make our guys, whether that be Craig Gordon, Scott Brown or Moussa to retain control at all costs. Now that may be against your’s (and mines too if I’m honest) instinct to “clear the lines” or shout “away”. It’s new to us, literally foreign but necessary. The practice in domestic fixtures is essential, before we can realise it at Champions League level.
Sutton referenced it in the post match analysis, along the lines of calling it “brave on the ball” and can we do it when it’s man-on-man against the Bayern’s.
You may have seen some examples of Celtic players having a pop at their teammates for kicking the ball out ? There was a wee example second half Gordon admonishing Lustig for simply knocking the ball out rather than recycling it with the riskier pass-back.
It’s were we want and need to be, to get closer to the CL elite.
Very disappointed tonight.
Brendan Rodgers needs to be banned from football management in Scotland. It’s disappointing the way he is embarrassing potential managers of the year. His tactical genius is too much for Scotland and he needs rained in.
Also disappointed that FTSFA have not yet found a means by which to handicap Celtic and the players. Personally I’d ban Celtic players from having two legs. Or at a minimum have them wear blackout hoods.
This is just getting too much for Scotland to take!
It’s disgusting!
I want to write a statement about this and make it official but I can’t find my crayons.
MWD
Turkeybhoy,
how stupid are the huns?,
reading RM they are talking about someone banned from posting,
one hun replies that its not permanent,
another then asks him but is it for good?,
canny make it up
What I’d like to point is this:
Aberdeen fans will be ragin’ that they didn’t get away with the thug tactics, against us, that Murderwell got away with against der hun.
And der hun will also notice.
Just sayin’.

Thank you a braw 2 minutes fae Dundee.

Midweek away at Pittodrie with a performance like that…what’s not to love?! :-)
I actually think that was the best we’ve played this season. Some of our passing and movement was phenomenal.
MWD,
i admire your confidence,
just thought we were below par recently and the Dons might raise their game

Got to agree , don’t think stewart Armstrong ,did a lot tonight . But he will be back to top form soon .

I was jesting. I was expecting a hard fought draw.
BR’s tactical genius and the teams ability to apply his tactical genius whilst accommodating player rotation surprises me every time.
Tonight’s display, especially on the first half was as good as anything I remember watching.
It’s refreshing and a delight.

The sheep pen is not an easy place to get a result.
Tonight we skooshed it \o/
Gordon is following instruction on kick outs and tonight was better mainly down to more than Brown showing for the outball.
Pass and move is the way forward and tonight some of it was excellent especially when it was one touch and attack space.
KT was an inspiration and not having anyone ahead of him gave him acres of space to attack.
Moussa has so much quality to lead the line and his physique and instincts are excellent.
Great game for Celtic supporters and Brendan got it right when he said with better passing it could have been more.
Hope we are saving that performance for our next trouncing of the govan galacticos.
Am i a bad man for wanting double figures ;-)
Celtic played some lovely football tonight and were a joy to watch. Around 70% possession at the home of our nearest challengers very impressive. Only downside for me is ” did I buy the Invincibles DVD a season too early?”
Roll on Bayern at Celtic Park.
Turkeyboy, your comment about the bowels of an Aberdeen Angus brought tears to a glass eye

Armstrong run down the left with a dumpling hacking at him was brilliant and Moussa was an inch away from bulleting his fantastic cross home.
It is also how you contribute off the ball and his intelligent runs continually forced Aberdeen to change position and work.
Best of the season so far, Bitton had a great game, Armstrong looked more confident, and the Mousse is back….:) to be fair, McInnes told it how it was…….
Greenin
Used to love John Peel play Ivor Cutler on Radio1. Scottish genius.
Anyone goat 25 hours spare?

If someone told you 18 months ago that Nir Bitton was playing left side of a back 3 at Pittodrie, and we coasted it 3-0, you would have been locked up
MWD,
it was an outstanding performance,
BR does a fantastic job on team selection,
3 of our best players on the bench and we still stroll it

Israel of today, the nation and its government has no relation to anything written in the Old Testament. Except that as a nation and a government they are the oppressor rather than the oppressed!
