  1. For years I thought that I must looked like one of those ” Chippendale” Guys…..as many Girls would say to me…”Jimmy….Yer a Big Lump of Wid” !

Thx Celtic for another Beautiful Sunday, many beers were downed last night in celebration…I didnt get a Lumber though….where’s that Venus Burd when you need her ?

Who would win a Fight between Big Jimmy and Steve Zodiac ? TWO lumps of Wid knocking hell oot of each other…methinks.

I try not to bother how others feel, I think our board (the sainted Peter & the other tories :-) should always explore every avenue to get the best manager available, I try and not listen to people who think Neil shouldn’t get the job for “his” good being, think Neil should decide what’s good for him :-) personally I think we are getting a far better manager than Neil’s first stint and again I go with people I meet in real life and all the Tims I know are 100% behind Neil Francis

  3. I’d be surprised if any big club came in from Moussa. He’s only scored 12 goals this season..

  4. Out of all the names I’ve seen linked to the job… Graham Potter makes the most sense (Lenny aside).

A young coach who is at the cutting edge of the game.

Here’s Henke discussing going up against Potter:

Henrik Larsson, whose Helsingborg side lost 2-0 here in Ostersund’s first season in the top flight. “The way he is able to change his pattern of play during games is so impressive,” Larsson tells the Independent. “I remember scouting them when I was at Helsingborg. They played all different kinds of systems, starting off a match one way, and then halfway through they started playing a different system, and then they ended up with a third system. And all the players knew exactly what they were doing.”

With that logic then surely you would be surprised if somebody would come in for Neymar as he has only scored 13 in the same league ???

    Nah :-)

  6. Moussa Dembele

Has actually got 12 league goals in 19 appearances (8 sub appearances & 5 goals in other competitions (cup games & CL games from 5 appearances)

I wouldn’t be surprised if teams with more money than Lyon are looking at him

    All about opinions :-)

  7. GFTB, I think we are in a good place, Supporters can be too quick to write off players if they don’t make an immediate impact. Ryan & Jonny were on most fan’s get rid list, as indeed were CalMac & James Forrest a couple of years back. They are now all treasured players. I can see the same thing happening for Jozo & Lewis Morgan. We will also have Bayo, Kouassi & Arzani plus Maryan available for next season plus our superkids McInroy, Karamoko & Armsrong Oko=Flex. Not all of them will be immediate successes but even if just 2 or 3 of them make a successful step up how good will that be.

P.S. There is also a ghuy called Leigh Griffiths knocking around I heard he could be good for a few goals once he is fit to go.

I would be surprised if any of the top clubs wanted Neymar right now.

I wish I could be as surprised as much as you :-)

I think every single top club in the world would bite your hand off for Neymar

Again all about opinions, I usually try and base mine on football ability

  10. The actions from Ferguson yesterday , was one of a very bitter young lad . With regards to derek mcinnes , he must hate the sight of celtic by now , but I really do wish we would cut out these songs, look at the work carried out by our various supporters groups , stocking food banks , donating to causes ,the celtic foundation ,that’s what we do best guys ,dont let ourselves be brought down to others levels with bitter chants and songs , we have a tremendous song book copied by every club in England if you watch MOTD , let’s rise above all that nonsense .

And don’t forget the quick-footed skilful Mickey Johnson. Surely a future star if he gets into the gym to bulk up a bit.

    _____

There are really only two or maybe three clubs in the world who would be able to pay Neymar what he wants. It’s a lot of money for a guy who’s really struggled with injury.

I’d suggest that the likes of Real Madrid would still want him. But a major part of that would be the commercial implications of signing a superstar.

If it came down to simply football they’d all rather sign Mbappe.

Another enjoyable afternoon at Hampden, thanks to our Celtic players and management. On we go.

Good luck to our young ‘uns today or whenever the Celts v Sevco secret conclave takes place. The reserve league is close, we’re leading it for now.

I am a massive Leigh Griffiths fan, I sort of like players who didn’t grow up supporting us then go on to gracing the hoops

If Leigh does return I think our current interim manager is the perfect fit to manage him

Your comment about Johnny Hayes is the same as Dallas Dallas has been saying to me for months … Johnny was just starting to find a bit of form then had his leg/ankle broke … sometimes “we” as fans don’t realise what is front of our noses

By the way am the first to admit I didn’t think Calum or Ryan were going to be good enough for our first team, shows how good a judge I am :-)

Delighted to be wrong right enough

  15. Timaloy29 9.51am

Don’t fling in Mbappe from nowhere now I might agree with you there

I think that boy has the lot … although I am a big Neymar fan … that’s a close call for me

  16. Bamboo You are 100% correct re young Mikey, when he bulks up he has potential to be a SuperStar , we also have young Ralston & the 2 U.S. guys Gutman & Perez obviously there is not room for everybody within the squad so I am expecting 6 or 7 will go, I just hope Mad Mik stays around for the 10 in a row.

Back to the original point. Moussa Dembele plays for a good team that have generally under performed this season. Their coach is under a bit of pressure.

They have great attacking talent and create a load of chances. Moussa’s finishing has been a little off and that’s why he’s under performing against the xG stats.

    https://understat.com/league/Ligue_1

He’s only a couple goals behind where the stats suggest he should be so a strong finish to the season would help. But I admit, I’ll be very surprised to see him move to a team like Manchester United in the summer.

He looks like he’s still finding his feet in a much more technical league than he’s used to. I like Moussa but he needs to show more improvement if he is to get to the very pinnacle of the game and thats what we are talking about with Manchester United.

I’d like to see Ralston, Henderson and Mikey step up in the squad. We all go on about signing a new RB but where does Ralston fit? He should be competing for that spot.

  19. Timaloy29 10.14am

Original point was you would be surprised if “top” teams were interested in Moussa, I “think” Lyon bought Moussa because of his goals with the French u-21 team, I wouldn’t be surprised if a top 6 EPL club offered stupid money for a 22yr old who could still improve… although I don’t think a 7th-10th EPL club like Wolves, Watford or LEICESTER would interest our Moussa :-)

  20. Deflection is the only game in town.

Buttock clenchingly embarrassing Celtic chants are muted, rare and sometimes even shouted down, unfortunately, it is there, and ripe for going the route of original Rainjurz..

Recent Sundays have required beaten opponents and SMSM to aid the dark art of defection, masking the pain and suffering endured by Scotland from Glasgow to Aberdeen, as Celtic make football history every other week. The singing with the exception of the copy catted ‘Cheer up Tommy Burns sad fenian b█….. ‘ was particularly unblotted and even worth the admission money alone, even if there had been no game.

The irony of a Celtic fan singing a sectarian song should not be lost on anyone right minded.

  21. Rogic’s movement once free kick is hit is either lucky or excellence :-)

Being lucky is always better than being good
