  1. Back from Pub Happy as a pig in shit, thoroughly delighted with performance today, this was a huge improvement on recent displays, no passengers today all eleven plus subs earned their corn. Only downside Ryan’s nasty injury , hopefully he will make a speedy recovery. Keep this type of play going and we will quickly wrap up League, Onwards & upwards.

Fair play to Michael Stewart on Sportscene , discussing McInness’ claims of sectarian chants……’no one can afford to take the moral high ground on fan behaviour’

Do you both think that today might be the first time that Neil picked his own team because Neil knew if he didn’t win he’d be hunted … I think we have a far more experienced Neil Lennon and I think today showed that

  4. Finnegans bar in Florence is a great place to watch Celtic.

What a happy afternoon that was today.

  5. Just when ithought the day couldnt get better,

wee Anne Lundin is doing the news, happy days indeed

  6. WITS

    James Forrest or Raheem Sterling

    I’d go for Jamesy bhoy

Listen to the tranny (radio) today and some eijit (Cascarino) was bumping his gums about Raheem adding goals to his game after a few years not scoring … Jamesy F

  7. Chants?

    1. Orange isn’t sectarian. And even if it was, McInnes fondness for the tanning salon is all it refers to.

    2. The chants were AFTER he was sent to the stands based on what I heard on the telly. Maybe those at the game can confirm or deny.

  8. WHAT IS THE STARS on 14TH APRIL 2019 10:34 PM

Who would win a fight between Big Judith and Anne Lundon

    Lucy Verasamy would.

  9. Madrarua, If you are in Torremolinos just pop over next door to Benalmadena to the John Lemon Bar, great Celtic Bar. If you are too lazy to pop over to Benalmadena, Mulligans up in the town or Shenanigans down on the Prom will be showing it.

  10. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Spiers Twitter account full of Tiger Woods tonight.

The only reference to the national sport of his homeland is McInnes and sectarian singing.

Derek said it happened so it must be true.

No mention of the game at all.

Take note guys – they ALWAYS come back into the fold.

    Even the decent ones.

For some it takes longer than others.

Graham is well on his way.

  11. SUPERSUTTON

    1. Exactly. You’d have thought English, in his bbc report, would be educated enough to know that.

    2. At the game I thought the abuse directed at McInnes came when he was sent off. Could be wrong but that’s what I remember.

  12. Thanks Corkcelt. I forgot about John Lemons, watched a game thetr ladt year. Great Celtic people.

  13. There are no decent ones…………

    A hun’s a hun.

Our success and the significance of our multiple victories coupled with their multiple failures is driving thums berserk.

  14. Del Boy McInnes was getting a bit of support on SSB today … the presenter says “this should be called out” still silence about the other stuff from the the white power bigots… surely Broony on the 2/5/19 should just ask the panel about the disgusting stuff that mob sing about his sadly departed sister … the irony is always lost on bigoted ignorant “peeple”

  15. Pleased for Jonny Hayes, first few games he looked nervous, and i thought the jersey was too big for him, gives us a more direct threat from wide, covers back, and can cross a decent ball.

  16. Interesting comments about the 2019 masters winner, we have the same debate in here. We both have a lot of disdain for wee brillo pad heid, me because he threw the tricolour away after winning the US Open, she because when he made the “big time” allegedly dumped his wee long time sweetheart for a long legged blonde Scandinavian tennis player.

And yet she’s a tiger fan and wished him well, when I brought up his anti-social life the wee convent school educated lassie replied that he had made a wee mistake and offered up “let he who has not sinned cast the first stone”. Must have different bricks in Florida than they do in the black north.

*wonder if they’ll be echoing this on May 12.

  18. Since 2012 all that’s happened is deflection

Again, Dom Ball whoever he is, Derek Ferguson’s son and Del Boy McInnes poor mans Ally McCoist but just as slimy … do what they do

Seethin Gerrard is not as low yet but on his way :-)

Unconscious fenian hatred is ok :-)

    Hope you enjoyed that today

  20. Madra Rua: Not sure about Malaga. Mulligans in Torremolinas will probably show the match but EPL will take preference. John Lemon is a good shout as is Timmy’s where I will probably be.

  21. Grew up in Lurgan during a war…

Great box to box midfielder- signed for Motherwell…

    Broke his back…

Back to Ireland… 80 games with Coleraine (?) where he changed his style..

    Signed for Man City..

Left England for Celtic because it was his ” duty ”

Bombs n bullets… his family sleeping under armed guard for 2 years…

An inner belief and drive that married with a particular position (Celtic manager) will deliver all that we can hope for…

I believe that DD and PL agree and Lenny will be appointed 3 days after we win the league..

    I will second that

And every one of ma mob want Neil

Like me and you he hates the Sevco too

  23. Any word on Ryan Christie? It looked an horrific injury. Looked like he took it full force on the angle of the jaw, possible fractured mandible and his eye socket didn’t look too clever but it might have been the blood from his nose. He was out for the count before he slammed into the deck – be grateful it wasn’t an artificial surface.

McInnes laid out his stall from the start aided and abetted by that cheat of a ref Thompson who allowed sheep fouling with impunity but saw fit to yellow card Jamesie for being fouled – a guaranteed free kick if it had happened at the other end of the ground. Shot himself in the foot by not yellow carding thug Ferguson early in the game – karma can be a beautiful thing at times.

Apart from the beautiful football and the score the TV highlight of the game was the shot of the Masonic dinosaurs, McLeish, Paw Broon, etc looking as miserable as feck ??

As usual the Jakey Gairdener couldn’t help himself when discussing Ryan’s injury and comparing it with GMS in the LC final by saying that the sheep should have had a penalty – totally irrelevant ya hurting hun!

I ended up having a single sausage to watch the game in the hotel, Mrs Pog flaked oot with all the travelling. Sometimes having an older wife, 6 months, can put the brakes on your gallivanting ?

    Hail! Hail! PMTYH ?????????**

I wouldn’t know where to start with some of the comments. Tiger is the GOAT.

    Nighty night.

  26. The (far) better half looking forward to Game of Thrones tonight.

Me too, as I will have peace to rewatch the game, and check in detail incidents like the following where Ferguson takes out Calum at the goal.

Does anyone else think it deserves a yellow?

If you can take your eyes off James’ stunner, Ferguson deliberately pushes Calum to the ground as he pushed into the box.

  27. So wee poor Deek McInnes has took offence to being called an OB when will the wee orange Hun call his own fans out for “celebrating” child abuse … Scottish football has a lot of work to do …. concentrating on Celtic is way off the mark… sometimes you wonder why these clowns are actually employed

    ===========================

Put that on Pay Per View :))

Good point earlier that I was echoing with the bhoy – not a word from the BBC about the Saville / Paedo stuff from Aberdeen fans – it seems to be their current song od choice.

This, in fact, is a direct reference to the – perceived or otherwise, as you may wish to argue – Catholic association with Celtic.

Apart from the obviously vile use of such a heinous crime to score points against opposition fans – and I have seen Aberdeen fans and others singing this whilst standing next to their own young children, which is an utterly shameful way for any parent to behave – it is an obvious, overt sectarian chant.

The direct intent is to smear Catholics – identifying Celtic fans as Catholics and therefore, in their chants, paedophiles. I have heard this very clearly against Aberdeen, St Mirrent, Partick Thistle, Heats, Hibs, Sevco and some others – why no BBC highlighting of this overt sectarian chanting?

I personally really dislike like the singing about McInnes as an Orange ‘B’ – I don’t think he is and he shouldn’t be subjected to that type of abuse.

However – the Orange Order is an openly anti-Catholic organisation and is, by definition, sectarian – being anti-Orange Order does not make someone sectarian any more than being anti-KKK or anti-NF.

That is, unless the definition of sectarian is being changed to include haterd of any group, even groups that are themselves based on hatred of minorities. That might be the road we are heading down here. It is the Donald Trump “There is wrong on all sides” approach to those who protest against white supremacy movement in America.

Selective reporting of the BBC in this.

  29. Gftb… I think we need a war-footing man at the helm and Neil is that man.
