So many ifs or buts.Why does Calmac lift his leg and kick the guy after his tackle.The guy had lost the ball.It helped us nothing.They hit the bar and the ball was cleared.Why did Duffy not put the ball into the sea,over on the touch line for the equalizer.2 stupid actions that the manager can’t be blamed for,cost us 3 points
Last point,because I am gutted.Those shouting abuse at Griff after Thursday,you must be so proud this evening.Once again he has lifted the team,scored a sensational goal.Stop your love affair with Elyanoussi,and Frimpong.Go with the guys that really try and pull it out of the bag.

I see nothing at present to show us putting a decent
run together. Aberdeen couldn’t score against
United but scored 3 against us – penalties or otherwise.
Total lack of discipline. Players not tracking their man, or going to ground or like Duffy trying something stupid, much like Boyata was prone to, when last man. Discipline comes from the manager. There is none. Throwing players on in the hope that something will click is not the same as having a clear, defined system of play that the players can rely on and trust. Regrettably, I think it is time for Neil to go. I know that this is a gamble but as others have said, doing nothing is no longer an option.

Last week sure felt like the first hit but the reality is this afternoon rangers can land a proper punch. If we had been told we would be in a mess but only one point behind in Oct, I’d have taken that! Wangers, it’s all on you now.
CmG getting the blame for the penalty and yes, he was done but look at Ajer’s slide just before. How many times have we seen him do that? Just fly to the ground in the box….
A supposedly £25m defender tracked by big clubs stays on his feet and shepherds the attacker out for goal kick or corner at worst.

We have Lille, Motherwell, Hibs, Sparta Prague and Milan, all away, in our next 7 games, interspersed with Aberdeen at Hampden and Sparta at home. Looking at our defensive record, 8 goals lost preseason, 5 in the Cl and EL so far, and a shocking 10 in the league, I have zero confidence we will win any of these games with this management team. The zombie club lost 1 in preseason, 2 in the EL, and 3 in the league, so 6 lost versus our 23. Although preseason is not that significant, the overall defensive picture, and lack of improvement, indicates we are in for a very tough November.
I notice the HWGTIAR hubris has largely disappeared from the pages.
When I see Neil sitting in the dugout, no obvious support from his backroom staff, not having picked his coaching staff, taking a lot on himself, hurting at what he sees – I wonder if there isn’t more the powers that be should be doing to help.
Decisions made by others have isolated him and left him exposed.
Normal clubs have management structures, close knit teams of coaches who can provide that breadth of experience, that support.
For reasons unknown, we are going with a pick n mix approach, staff chosen by others.

The Huns will loose similar games this season and the performance today was an improvement
Bad game management last few mins but not sure Neil could’ve prevented the foul leading to penalty no matter what change he made
My own personal view is the real problem lies higher up the tree than the manager

Maybe NFL should have a good long conversation with Laxalt about what we could learn from the way AC Milan go about their business day to day.
i definitely think playing in empty stadiums is having a significantly bigger impact on us than other teams.

Got to disagree with that, he picks the team., motivates the players, makes tactical changes…
Maybe NFL should have a good long conversation with Laxalt about what we could learn from the way AC Milan go about their business day to day.

being honest we have aTtippy Tappy, Mamby Pamby , Prima Dona group of players , poorly coached professionaly , running around the pitch like headless chickens , can not see out a game being a goal up , everyone and their grannie knew they would equalise as we are not coached in how to see out a game .
Duffy as someone said earlier has came here for a 10 in a row season long party not realising it has to be earned , send him home and put us out our misery , I belittled julien for his defensive play but my god duffy is the poorest centre half I’ve seen and I’ve seen a few.
It just shows you how good broonie has been- calmac tries to impose himself physically early on and gets a bizarrely early yellow; then gives a pen away.
The squad dynamics this year are phenomenal! ( Felt sorry for lennie today and I honestly thought AC was a turning point for him)

How can we all see the deficiencies in our defending, particularly down the RHS, yet Management team bring on a midfielder ?

Not sure but it shouldn’t be 2 – 2 – 4 – 2 with JF and DL playing as offensive players 15M inside the Sheep half.
We do not have a proper DM on the books.
We have CMcG — good squad AM with a goal threat — giving away free kicks for fun in the last 10 minutes.
Something badly wrong.
BR saw some of the issues but did not fix all of them.
NL made some progress based on not being BR and letting the team play.
However now all the BR structure and control has gone and we are playing like a second rate jazz band trying to show off. NL is not the answer / he was never the answer but he looks like a man searching for a sinking ship.
Hopefully things have been happening in the background.
We need real change at every level.
Lose the league this season and they will need to shut more than the LL Upper.
He’s earned the right to be where he is just now,but if he gets bagged tomorrow he can’t complain, too big a season, and something doesn’t look right behind the scenes for me

Yes agreed
My issue is the lack of forward planning and team investment over the last few years (and in reality many more)
Neil accepted the job but he’s not responsible for the quality of the squad he has inherited
Last window is the first one in many years which I’ve been reasonably happy with given our financial position
We got where we are now through lack of foresight over last few years
Same reason BR walked and as did Neil some time ago
Can’t keep blaming managers for failing to meet our supporters expectations
