  1. PHILBHOY-watching some of our games would make you cry with laughter if it wasn’t so serious

  2. glendalystonsils on

8 goals conceded in our last 3 games , ranging from the ‘avoidable’ to the ‘gift wrapped’ . Oh for the days of the nervy 1-0 wins .

This is the problem requiring immediate and 100% of our coaching team’s attention .

  3. The Sheep first penalty was manufactured.

Playing football as billiards and not snooker.

LF had no intention of controlling the ball.

He just wanted to stop in front of ON and fall over when he hit him.

He must have practised that move all week with the MIB Ludge offering advice.

  4. 3 experienced defenders out due to injury and Covid. 2 defenders playing every game when they are just in the door. Ryan Christie unavailable having had 6 negative tests.Playing catch up because of Boli stupidity. Lennons inability to see that Scot Brown slows everything down and that Calum McGregor and Jeremie Frimpong are in need of a rest. Still not too far behind a “The Rangers” team that are playing well without being affected with Covid so far and with their players having few international commitments. Still think it could be a lot worse. Please please please get a defence coach in. You know it makes sense.

A FIVER FOR YOUR THOUGHTS on 25TH OCTOBER 2020 3:04 PM

I totally get your point and amd certainly not one to defend Lawwell and the rest of the suits but this season he has been given a huge amount to spend on players…

  6. Count the millions on players bought sitting on the bench, not tried not tested and who knows if they ever will get a chance, this sums up the policy of buying good players but dont know how to use them or get them doing something else when they get a chance, that is the managers gig.

  7. The problem is 2 fold the coaching is regressive from last year and our recruitment has been a complete miss. (CEO with head of recruitment and manager all culpable)

The rotten mob have got a bit better us a bit worse so it’s on a knife edge the actual deciding factor will be will to win so far we seem to have not been able to get out the rut we are in .that mob did not seem to have it last year so far they might have it this time if they do it’s going to be horrible battle to the end .

There must be a root cause we hear wee bits and pieces but who knows the truth. The fact remains if our CEO. Does not know he should be sacked if he does and is not fixing in it he should be sacked .

We know the managers credentials not a question but if he and his coaching staff can’t produce what’s required then the need to go the time for sentiment is over .

Our next series.of games are no doubt going to. Make or break us lots of big kahunas required to and a complete return to the team and manager having belief we are the best team and working 100% every min of every game .

I at this point still think we can/will overcome this bump and 10 will be sweeter for it something as we say you just got to keep the faith

NL has had a lot of money to spend with PL’s favourite agents.

PL is the author of our current shambles.

He takes the bonuses and employs yes men.

    MADMITCH on 25TH OCTOBER 2020 3:04 PM

Correct, but idiotic behaviour by Ntcham which gave Collum the chance to have the country talking about him.

    MADMITCH on 25TH OCTOBER 2020 3:09 PM

So playing McGregor at left back and no striker against Ferencvaros is Lawwell’s fault?

As I say, I have nothing but contempt for the sheisters who run our club but Lennon shoulders the blame for the way the team sets up and plays…

HOT SMOKED on 25TH OCTOBER 2020 3:11 PM

They will rack up the goals today no question.

Just to make a point about why it’s the Manager

    Huns play 4/3/3

Huns today Kamara Morelos Barasic and Arfield not playing (they all started against us)

    What system are the Huns playing today with a changed team 3/5/2 ?? 4/4/2 ?? 4/2/3/1 ??

No none of them – they are playing 4/3/3 as a team you have a system and you build the team around the system

Rogers did it with 4/2/3/1 all the players knew their job whether they played the week before or not

It’s not rocket science – its basic football coaching

    ————-

    Yip

But the planning and investment for this season and several before has not been there from Board level

Spend only what’s absolutely necessary is not what I want

Build a war chest for what ? COVID?

I’d rather that we had already spent the bank balance and be in debt but the decision makers prefer a wee dividend to add to their multi million personal accounts

  14. With the Euro results they have had we would have people on here fancying us to get to a Euro final, we have not paid notice to their improvement, while we have regressed rapidly, no point in saying we want players back that is not reality, we are up to our necks in trouble here , time for a change of manager and coaching staff now.

  15. ‘ I thought we were a bit passive in the first half…’

How many times has he said that this season ?

  16. After the derby game disaster, today was a must win.

    We didn’t win

We can act or we can make new and imaginative excuses

  17. ERNIE LYNCH on 25TH OCTOBER 2020 2:51 PM

Maybe NFL should have a good long conversation with Laxalt about what we could learn from the way AC Milan go about their business day to day.

    —-

We’re suggesting Lennon ask the players how to do his job.

    He needs to go.

This is the problem requiring immediate and 100% of our coaching team’s attention .

the problem is we don’t have any defensive coaching staff , early doors during the game duff y was claiming offside but ayer was at least 4 yards behind him, no organisation or defensive line, a shambles.

  19. onenightinlisbon on

In this season above all others there is not excuse for us being “passive” and certainly not more than once. Our tempo and speed should be 100% from that first whistle. What do the players not get about the importance of this season?

  20. Ntcham I thought today was ordinary.Turnbull must be wondering why we chased him for a year then paid £3m for him.

Does anyone else think this mysterious back injury for julien is of

    A very good point!

  24. onenightinlisbon on

The usual story when it comes to us appointing a manager – would guys like Eddie Howe etc really want to be a puppet fro Lawwell and Desmond?

  25. As much as I would have been delighted with a win, it wouldn’t have changed my opinion. We are still dire.

Christie. Ajeti, Elyounoussi all absolutely rank.

Frimpong looks as if he has escaped from a nursery. In Duffys defence he was covering for him the whole game .

No structure or formation to the team. 11 individuals

  26. The Celtic Board have made 4 title winning management appointments, I’m more confident they can make a 5th than I am of Lenny turning this around.

  27. DESSYBOY

    ‘COMPLACENCY ABOUNDS’

If I recall correctly, Beefing about complacency was part of the much maligned BR’s strategy as he worked his ticket.

  28. Went out for a walk after the final whistle and one thought going through my mind was what Madmitch just said, we don’t have a DM.

Cast your mind back tae when we lost our unbeaten record at hades 1-5, we had lost Lambert tae an ankle injury, while big Stubbies cancer had flared up again, so MON went out and signed Lenny and “Ramon the treble” as he called him.

Now we can’t do that but why can’t we use Broonie in that role, we turned dynamic inside left/right half

Evans intae an international centre half where his experience made up for his slowing down.

A much mature Scott in that role may yet save our season, he should start against the Sheep at hunden next Sabbath.

BTW is big Shane our new Willie Garner.

  29. We are doing a sevco this season.

Sevco imploded last season. We are imploding this season. Things will get worse before they get better.

Sevco will thrive on our mistakes and collapse and can only get stronger .

Maybe lawwell expected sevco to implode again this season. Bad call Peter.

It is not lost yet but it is getting there.

ST TAMS on 25TH OCTOBER 2020 3:28 PM

Frimpong looks as if he has escaped from a nursery.

    ————————

Couldn’t have described it better :)

Thought about it today, bad day when Celtic are relying on Frimpong to supply some inspiration

But that’s where we are unfortunately

  31. Firstly, condolences to family of Kevin McCarra who has passed away, a good Celtic man and an exceptionally gifted writer.

Secondly I thought Celtic played very well for the most part today – Aberdeen were very fortunate to get a point – and we will win this league under Neil Lennon.

Thirdly, for every anti Scott Brown argument, there is a counter argument. He’s still our most important player (perhaps behind Eddie)

Here we go – 10 in a row,
