Do you remember who we played this round last season, Helsinki or Helsingborg? The ones you win often blend into the background noise. Not so in 2007. The defeat of Spartak Moscow on penalty kicks will live long in the memory.
The last Champions League qualifying round reversal was THAT game eight years ago. Gordon Strachan was sill unpacking his white tee shirts when the team collapsed in Bratislava. A historic recovery was on the cards a week later when Celtic took a 4-0 lead with 20 minutes remaining but it wasn’t to be.
Before that MTK Budapest were humbled 0-4 at home by the Sevillians making the return leg a formality, not that the Sevillians were masters at Champions League qualification. Basel knocked them out the previous season on away goals, paving the way for that memorable season in the Uefa Cup.
Which brings us to Ajax. If you are my age, winning 1-3 in the Ajax Arena was something of a landmark in your life. We were back at the top table. We were also pretty shocked at that fact.
It was Helsingborg in the final qualifying round last season. Let’s hope Shakhter Karaganda fade from memory quickly as an inconsequential stop along the way.
Get tore into them, Celtic.

Thanks mate
Green’s current disappearing act is what Tiny Tim (I think) was wanting, as it will keep the share price high. The implication of this is that potential investors will have less to put into the Ibrox warchest.
‘Mon The Hoops!
Intae thur (lamb) mince!!!!
COATBRIDGE PAPER BHOY
Must be some trip to the newsagents in the morning then!
Not missing anything memorable-well,few of us will be able to remember much…..
I know nothing but I’ve got a horrible feeling tonights game will be just like Elfsborg away.
Kick and rush aerial assault and random bouncy balls.
Hope I’m wrong.
Has ole Chortles caught the bus?
On the official Sevco site. They are remembering when Rangers beat Celtic 3-1 in 2005.
A long time has passed since then. Rangers have died and the tribute act are in serious trouble. Still, it wont be long until a Rangers are back competing and cheating Celtic.
I don’t think our club has done much to prevent this. Every share-holder who was cheated (and continues to be) should be taking action to try to lever this once-in-a-lifetime chance to bring equality, justice and integrity to Scottish football, before it’s too late. It’s too important not to. They are relying on your apathy. When your Grandchildren in years to come ask what you did about it. Don’t be left having to say nothing.
PLEASE! Print this off. Sign it. Scan it. Return it. Also pass it on via social networking sites and e-mail for others to do the same.

Malarkey – and if we finish up with a scratchy 0-0 that will do nicely.
Failing that the ole 5-0 [Samaras 3, Forrest 2] will suffice.
Modern random bouncy balls are
Parkheadcumsalford.
Not sure how that works.
It is shares in the club that are getting traded.
Ie the higher the share price, the more money the club have.

You are right. I don’t. Don’t be offended. I remember very little of anything in life any longer than a few hours ago. It’s both an infliction and a blessing. ;)
Its a sign I tell you…………..
Colin Murray (singing: you are my Larsson live on air) and friends discussing Celtic/ Jinky and our European performances and looking forward to watching our game today.
Must be a change of policy at talkSPORT!
BSR- sadly bus failed MOT, being merely a hubristic heap of smoulderin’ jetsam
Chas has in fact hired a private jet, and charged it to Sevco, because that is the way they do things these days.

Heard that.
Colin Murray is a good broadcaster.
We will need to have big hearts and be brave on the ball, can’t afford to get hustled and bullied.Balde up front with Sammi left side,Mulgrew for Izzy at LB,they’re a big side i think we should match up best we can.Big FF will have to come off his line more often than he has of late.

Scrofula is seemingly contagious…
Pain in the upper jaw, cheek bone, eye ball, temple, all left side, sinisitus by the feel of it. I’ve got a fechin mountain to climb on Friday. Any clever cloggery on the ole Shangri La Apothecary beyond a handful of ibuprofen?
Appreciated.

I do remember being in the away end of… Kilmarnock? when Celtic won the league and meeting you on the wall, celebrating at the end. My life is a jumbled dream-like mix of memories.
When Colin Murray and Edith Bowman were on Radio 1 a few years ago,EB said he got married in Deidclub tartan…..
My lineup would be
Forster
Lustig Ambrose Mouyokolo Mulgrew/Izzy (undecided)
Brown Kayal Ledley
Commons ——– Samaras
Balde
Chuckles is walking away again.
He should enter the 50k walk in the Commonwealth Games.

The Honest Mistake loves being first
Not strictly true. The higher the share price, the higher the value of the company is but they get know more money for that. The only money the club got was from the initial shares that were sold. Any profit (or loss) made from shares sold since then go to the owners of the shares. The company receives no additional funds unless a new share issue is launched.

Still in fits of laughter….Mr Custard……hahahahahaha

Additional alternative WW1 Chorus;
That’s the wrong way to tickle Mary,
That’s the wrong way to kiss!
Don’t you know that over here, lad,
They like it best like this!
Hooray pour le Francais!
Farewell, Angleterre!
We didn’t know the way to tickle Mary,
But we learned how, over there!
There is a police helicopter right outside my window. REALLY close. There is a cop at the side looking out with what looks like a gun. Exciting stuff.
