ARZANI’S ON HIS WAY

CELTIC are edging closer to a two-season loan deal for Australian World Cup winger Daniel Arzani.

The 19-year-old attacker has undergone a medical at Manchester City and is about to agree to a £280,000 switch from Melbourne City.

The Hoops will apply for a work permit for Arzani, who was born in Iran, and they will also incorporate an option to buy the player on a permanent basis if the move works out for both sides.

Arzani made three substitute appearances for the Aussies in the Russian Finals and had offers from French club Rennes and Bundesliga 2 outfit Fortuna Dusseldorf.

But he opted for the Etihad and then a move to Parkhead where he will team up with his international colleague Tom Rogic.
