Balde, Hooper, summer challenges

13 June and Celtic have signed a striker!  Do we have some important games coming up early in the season?  6’4” Amido Balde joined Sporting Lisbon three years ago but never made an appearance for the club.

After three loan deals he joined Vitoria Guimaraes a year ago, where he caught the eye of Celtic scouts.  At 22-years-old, he is right in the sweet spot of Celtic’s recruitment strategy: fully developed physically, old enough to be considered prime first team material but with many years of prime football ahead.

Playing for Celtic is quite different than playing for Vitoria Guimaraes, so it may take Amido a period of adjustment to settle into life as a Glasgow sporting celebrity, but he is clearly the man Neil Lennon and the scouts wanted.  Based on that, I’m happy.

Despite what could be described as cover, and the fact that the player has declined a new contract, I’m still not happy to sell Gary Hooper.  We have lots to do this summer before that moves up the agenda.

    Naw….however I do remember years ago Jock Wallace was on the radio phone in commenting before we played them…told presenter that he was a jungle fighter and the first guy who phones in says “send him intae the jungle an I’ll give him aw the fighting he wants…” Was very funny..

    I was thinking more along the lines of the US world police officially giving them weapons today. (CIA and Al) have been in there together from day one. You are more sobre and more informed than I am. Do you know when oil was officially discovered in the North? Would that have anything to do with anouncement today of why loads of people have to kick it by Cameron and The Great one Obama Preidente?

    I know nothing, absolutely nothing. I like it that way. it is simple. I am simple and very proud about knowing nothing about anything really in the grand scheme of things.

     

     

    God is the man for me, always has been even though it took a long Time to realise that but I always kind of knew it anyway.

     

     

    The DNA is fascinating, the Blood it is incredible. Listen to Christian podcasts about both topics and you will be amazed and realise that America was the real hope for society at large, we always get lazy as humans, we are HUMANS, imperfect, no matter what the Gnostic believers, that have underpinned every genocide the World has seen, try to pertray through their ontrolled PRESS.

    Petec I admire your faith but I have seen your previous posts and you know what is happening in the world. I have faith in humanity but it is diminishing. You say in your first sentence that you know nothing, if you don’t mind me saying, that is garbage you know what is going on and are not a sheep.
