The story of the third round wasn’t Dundalk’s magnificent win over BATE Borisov (Uefa coefficient points: 34), it was Hapoel Be’er-Sheva’s incredible defeat of Olympiakos (Uefa coefficient points: 70).
Only Manchester City, Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk were higher seeded in the qualifying competition than Olympiakos. The lesson here is that pretty much anything can happen in the qualifiers. From the above list, I’d bite your hand off for Dundalk or Hapoel, but all five of them are on the verge of Champions League qualification on merit. We should be careful for who we wish for.

All the seeded teams were drawn first, so I’m not sure if we’re at home first.
Bottom line as with Maribor and Malmo, if you can’t beat this level of team you don’t deserve to be in CL.
