‘BETTER AND BETTER,’ KUHN’S MESSAGE TO CELTIC FANS

NICOLAS KUHN enjoyed his finest hour in Paradise as he caught the eye in Celtic’s 3-1 win over St Johnstone yesterday.

It was actually 63 minutes before the German winger made way for evergreen James Forrest, but it wasn’t before the £3million January recruit from Rapid Vienna had given delighted hoops fans a glimpse of the skills that lured Brendan Rodgers into making the signing.

Kuhn set up the opener for Kyogo Furuhashi with a deft flick into the box which was finished with a courageous header by the prolific hitman just before the interval.

WING AND A PRAYER…Nicolas Kuhn is gaining confidence in Paradise.

And the Japanese hitman repaid the compliment within a minute of the restart with a smart low cross from the left which was tucked away by the new Bhoy for his first goal at Parkhead.

Kuhn, whose only other strike came in his debut in the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie last month, told Celtic TV: “I think it’s getting better and better.

“I feel better and I could score some more goals, but, at the end, I’m happy.

“I think we had a couple of chances before to score, but, of course, it’s important to get the first goal and we’re happy with the three points.”
