SKIPPER Scott Brown is poised to agree a contract extension at Celtic.

The 33-year-old midfielder, whose current deal runs until next summer, will sign for another two years, at least.

Brown, who retired from international football earlier this year, said: “Me and the club we are speaking – there is no problem.

“They know I’m going to sign, so there is no issues whatsoever.

“It’s just a matter of time for us to get it done. We first started talking just before the international break.

“Hopefully, it will be done in the next couple of weeks.

“I still feel I’ve got a good few years left in me. That will be part of the discussion.

“I think two or three years easily. I feel fit and I feel good.”
