Dunfermline looked out of their depth in this SPL encounter for most of the game but a combination of sloppy finishing, last-ditch defending and Celtic’s still-unresolved problem from the penalty spot meant the game finished on a knife-edge.
Gary Hooper intercepted a cross-field pass from Dunfermline’s Paul Willis after 6 minutes, took a great first touch and fired a bullet shot into the bottom left corner of the goal to put Celtic ahead. After 19 minutes more slack play from Dunfermline allowed Celtic to break with fluency. Kris Commons, Anthony Stokes and Hooper combined to setup James Forrest to put Celtic in what looked like easy street.
Stokes almost finished from a tight angle after Forrest flashed the ball across the face of the goal, while Forrest failed to hit the target with a couple of shots from inside the box.
Commons, restored to the starting line-up, was clearly enjoying his free role, drifting from left to centre-midfield and twice found Anthony Stokes with outrageously precise 40-yard passes. Celtic’s effectiveness suffered when Commons, who must surely have been injured, failed to appear after half time.
Celtic, perhaps having things too easy, dropped off the pace without the prodding of Commons and, with Dunfermline offering no apparent threat, looked like getting away with a 4-4-2 formation, with two traditional wingers. Dunfermline had not read the script, however.
Andy Barrowman thundered a shot from the angle of the box into Fraser Forster’s bottom right corner with five minutes remaining – plus an eventual four minutes added time. Any match report should record that Dunfermline never got close to adding a second goal in the remaining nine minutes, but this was also a period when Celtic lost all composure. Fraser Forster was booked for timewasting and Adam Matthews will never take as long over three throw-ins all season. The final whistle was greeted with enormous relief by the home support.

I use Sonos with Net Attached Storage to give a library of my CDs.
I saved my CDs to Itunes first, then copied them from there to my NAS box which is plugged into my modem so the computer doesn’t have to be switched on.
Sonos isn’t for everyone, but I like it – you can buy whatever kit you want in small bundles (1 room at a time) and before you know it you can have a house full of different zones, that can play different music in different rooms all from the one source. Contollable by an iphone/ipad as well on a free app (got to say I’ve never done that, instead use controller). Also you can take out a subscription to a library like napster for about £4 a month to access pretty much anything you want.

Apart from the spat with Lennon against Hearts last year. Does mclean have any previous against us? Does he even ref many games?
He has never refereed Celtic before and has only refereed 15 SPL games.
He has refereed Rangers once. A 4-0 win over St Johnstone on the day we lost 2-0 at Fir Park. He gifted Rangers a goal after 4 minutes when Bougherra handled the ball in the build up to their first after only 4 mins.

When I say ‘getting rid’, I actually mean ‘move into storage somewhere’. I imagine I’ll still be buying and storing CD’s, I just want a HD based sound system, with a good user interface that lets me store them all digitally and create playlists etc. I have so many CD’s that I never play because I’ve forgotten they’re there in the CD cabinet and are away at the back of the drawer ! I know Itunes does this, but would prefer a system that doesn’t need to be connected to a laptop.

This is more of a practise tool for guitarists but its a cracking piece of kit as you can convert your cds onto sd cards and play any audio through it,its basically a guitar amp but as I say it has many uses,I can’t do links,its called the Line 6 Spider Jam.

A few weeks ago at half time vs kille we were on the edge of another precipice. Last night was all about results. The days when we needed a good performance as well as a good result are long behind us, somewhere beside our European aspirations perhaps.
IMO last season we started to come good when we signed commons and Kayal came back from injury, allied to an on form Izzy we had sufficient quality to see off most challengers, albeit we slipped up. We haven’t had these 3 players together yet this season – maybe soon.
Despite Celtics failings over the past 3 or 4 seasons we remarkably still have an opportunity to do a bit of damage to the huns. In the name of ghod, we must do it. 4th attempt or not. It might not be pretty, in fact, it probably wont be, but it must be done. Last night was another successful step towards that.
I understand the fans nerviness towards the end of the game and the fact that Lenny himself responded to it shows that he himself may be a touch nervy anaw!
I see that the old media are still having a go at the green brigade, they must be the old media target this season instead of Lenny. Well keep it up bhoys if you are annoying these so called journos, then you must be doing something right!!
Its hilarious watching them give the murderwell fans some sort of credit for a revolutionary new proposal to watch matches while standing up.

Haven’t seen the highlights yet, but I’m scratching my head trying to understand the widely published view that the second goal last night was the result of a Dunfermline mistake.
According to the BBC, Dunfermline gave the ball away in midfield.
Where I was sitting, 20 yards away, Kayal won a stonking tackle in his own half, the ball broke to Forrest on the right, who fed Hooper inside, who fed Commons to his left, who fed Stokes in the channel, who’s shot was parried wide by the Pars keeper, only for Hooper with a back heel from a wide position to set up Forrest to score.
If this was a Dunfermlime mistake, can I suggest the pursuit of perfection in possession has perhaps gone too far.
