CELTIC IN LINE FOR TRANSFER WINDFALL

CELTIC are in line for a £1million summer transfer windfall – if Moussa Dembele signs a permanent deal with Atletico Madrid.

The former Hoops goal hero has agreed to join the La Liga leaders on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Dembele, 24, quit Parkhead in June 2018 in a £19.8million switch to Lyon and the champions are due 10 per cent of the profit in his next move.

The France international striker, who was Brendan Rodgers’ first signing for the club from Fulham in June 2016, will take the place of veteran hitman Diego Costa in gaffer Diego Simeone’s attack – and the move will be made permanent in the summer if the powerhouse frontman succeeds in Spain.

Dembele, who is valued at £29.6million by Lyon, according to Get France Football News, has struggled for game-time in Rudi Garcia’s team this season and his appearances were further limited after he sustained a broken arm.
