‘CELTIC MILES AHEAD,’ LENNON

NEIL LENNON believes Celtic are miles ahead of the new Rangers going into next weekend’s League Cup semi-final.

The former Hoops boss said: “I haven’t a clue what’s going on behind the scenes at Ibrox and on the field it hasn’t been great this season, either.

“They need someone in to galvanise the club.

“Naturally, it would mean so much to so many people if they win it, but Celtic are streets ahead.

”Anything can happen in a derby game, but Celtic look far too good for them at the moment.”

Neil Lennon suffered a shock at Hampden early in his career as Celtic manager when the club played their first ever match at the national stadium against Ross County and suffered an embarrassing 2-0 defeat. He will be hoping that Ronny Deila doesn’t allow history to repeat itself when Celtic once again play another club for the first time at Hampden.
