  1. Sevco have played 5 away games against the current top 5 in the SPL. They have picked up 1 (one) point out of 15, a draw in Perth in December. They have still to visit Celtic Park and Pittodrie before the split.

  2. Loved the way we controlled that match tonight. Aberdeen were well organised and worked really hard which made it difficult for us. We stuck to our game which will really please Brendan. Boyata deserved his man of the match, he was absolutely brilliant as were most of the boys. A word for Pat Roberts, the wee man worked he socks off, seriously what a shift he put in. His off the ball running and pressing was tireless. If anything he was too unselfish when he found himself in space. Absolutely brilliant all round effort from everyone!

  3. MOTM Captain Broonie. Did the work of three men in midfield. He had to, McGregor was posted missing and Bitton, after a couple of good performances, was back to his worst. Made more passes to Aberdeen players than the Aberdeen midfielders managed to.

Boyata excellent again, Jozo, after a few sloppy first half passes, had a great second half.

Interesting change in formation tonight, totally bamboozled the managerial genius in the opposition dug out, took him about half an hour to work out what we were doing.

You know you have a special talent when the second best team in the country man mark your left back, totally negating their best player as an attacking threat.

Interesting watching Hearts Rangers tonight ( could have been 6 or 7)

The camera focused on Ann Budge several times in the 2nd half with Hearts comfortably ahead, she DID NOT look happy..at all.

Now maybe thats just the way she is,win lose or draw, just sits there with a dour calvinist head on her….but would she have looked so glum if it was Hearts 4 Celtic 1….hmmmm

Listening to McInnes’s post match interview on way home from game. An ungracious, deluded fool of a man. Apparently they deserved a draw and it wasn’t a free kick for our goal, KT slipped.

    ————————————————

We could have played without a keeper and they still wouldn’t have managed/deserved a draw.

Watched the post match post-mortem on deidco, big Chris excellent at the end. Warbiola on being asked why they lost -” I don’t have a clue ” or words to that effect. He’ll have to wear the gimp suit in Jabba’s cellar tonight.

Missed the game because of work. Just in to catch up. Absolutely delighted with the win and more delighted yet for Dedryk. This manager of ours has the midas touch. I’ve just read Dedryk’s quotes tonight:

“From the beginning he (BR) has told me what he wants me to do and where he wanted me to improve.

“That’s what I’ve been doing every week. Every time I was improving on one point he’d come over with another point until I got to where he wanted me to get.”

Well done big man. And well done all the Bhoys. And Brendan – what can I say. I was excited when he joined us but I never foresaw a season unfolding like this. It’s pinching yourself territory. Loving every second of it. Brendan Rodgers – the sky’s the limit.

As for that other game between Dr Seuss’s Horribles 1 and Horribles 2… a horsing like that (from somebody other than us) has been on the cards for them, they’ve been riding their luck for months now.

Hopefully this is the Emperor’s New Clothes moment and the rest of the SPL will stop being intimidated by the Wee Arra Peepul smokescreen and see them for what they are – a rag tag and bobtail congealment of mediocrity with delusions of grandeur.

But I don’t really care; I’m too busy grinning.

Ah now that wouldnt be fair

Sure havent they suffered enough …..7-1 has a nice ring to it…..just cant see it happening though….unless we deliberately score an O G

Prescient “Sevco did well holding on to the referees during this transfer window”.

Beaton wtf. Four wouldn’t have flattered us and the jester in waiting, Mc Innes, as ungracious as ever. Suck it up.

Warbiola in interview finally admits the truth “in the second half that wasn’t Rangers out there”.

Wasn’t Rangers in the first half either Mark.

    Is English his first language????

Wits vg “Anne Budges big Calvinist head”. Bet 1690.

Honestly she looked as glum as ..well I dont know…but not happy

    Maybe I am paranoid

  11. Jose is obviously not the present owner of Warbiola’s magic hat. So where might this magic hat be since it went AWOL on 21st March 2016?

“So if you don’t know football you should not be holding a microphone” Take note Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton and a few of you other would be football pundits.

Well done bhoys. Three more points. Dedryck the goal machine!

Would rather Hearts had only won by one or two – don’t want any danger of any changes over Ibrox way!

    Busy night for Jim…..

Great performance in the second half tonight.

A bit off the pace in the first half; Broony’s passing was poor but he picked up again in the second half.

Bitton also stepped up another gear in the second half and delivered another good and improved performance. Boyata was immense winning everything in the air. Well deserved MOTM performance and a great touch by the manager bringing him over to the standing section at the end. He’s like a new player!

    Roll on the next game!

  14. From Ibrox Noise ( whatever that means)

One of the loyal has had it

    Expletives slightly disguised

I have never seen a so called Rangers team outplayed, bullied, torn apart and still trying to tippy tappy out from the goalkeeper as they did tonight. ALEX RAE for interim manager until the end of this season. Lucky to get 20,000 at Ibrox on Saturday if Warburton stays.. Warburton and his team of cowards have disgraced the jerseys of Glasgow Rangers. Won’t be back until he has gone and for f***s sake take that f****n’ sad, sad excuse for a football team all the way back to the English Channel and f****n’ drown it. Had it. Had it. Had it.

  15. Good victory tonight against Dons and excellent result by Hearts. I am new to CQN but not to Celtic, having supported them for more than 60 years. I wrote a couple of books which were published at the end of last yeat and sold well over Christmas. They are All Our Yesterdays and How Are Things in Connemara? Both by Bill Heaney. Your correspondent Tontine Tim mentions Bill Heaney in relation to these books, both of which contain significant passages/chapters about Celtic. They are available on-line from Neetahbooks.com, not from Amazon as stated. There is also some confusion re Heaney’s past career as a journalist, editor, columnist and political adviser. He is still a columnist with Trinity Mirror and writes for The Irish Voice, the Scotsman, Herald, Press and Journal , the Connacht Tribune and Donegal Democrat and many other newspapers, but he was not the managing editor of the Catholic Observer for many years as stated.,he was sacked after less than a year for publishing, in the opinion of the Church in Scotland, too much detail from the documents of Vatican II. Perhaps though, more importantly for this forum, he covered the triumphant return of the Lisbon Lions for the Scottish Daily Express in 1967 and wrote exclusively about how Rangers nearly flew the tricolour at Ibrox for their European Match against Dundalk. Read all about it in his All Our Yesterdays book which is now back in stock after selling out over Christmas.

  16. To think that for a last minute hitch we almost sold big Jozo in the summer transfer window. Brendan certainly has the Midas touch. We have been lucky that the impatient American owner of LFC who obviously knows the square root of heehaw about football gave Brendan his P45. How long would a young Swalex have been allowed these days?

  17. That was a major, major marker laid down tonight!

Before the game Brendan intimated that he would change things, given the opposition and our personnel situation. After the game he explained that he had further changed things at half-time.

Result? More or less in total control throughout the game, against the other ‘form’ team in the league.

This is a guy who changes things as he needs to – even the subs tonight had a direct impact on the way the game was going. BTW I think that young Liam is coming on leaps and bounds – a guy with an eye for a forward pass? What’s not to like?

And then, because I’m a weak human being, I piss myself laughing at poor old Sevco! Lovely night of football.

  18. EMERALDBEE\O/ STILL PROUD TO BE AN INTERNET BAMPOT on 1ST FEBRUARY 2017 11:25 PM

Yes, Henderson is looking good. His ball control when that high ball came out of the sky late in the match was just beautiful. He looks much stronger physically too.

  19. Reflecting on my frustrations over the last few years (Scottish Fitba Officials) and the recently closed transfer window…

Watching BR implement his philosophy of the game, and the reaction of the squad to his management is exciting. We are very fortunate to have him and I hope he stays and his Husbandry reaps what he is expertly sowing…. If he does, the Future is looking very bright.

My frustrations have been with our previous policy of selling assets in recent years, and the vicious circle of rebuilding, then selling. Lenny, I believe, left for that reason, a thankless task.

Personally, my gratification comes from watching a young team develop and grow together as a team. Continuity is everything to me.

Watch BR last interview as Liverpool manager.

This is a man who is always learning, and learns from his experiences, I hope his vision is backed by our club…. I want him here as long as possible. He knows the pros and cons of EPL management, indeed of management anywhere.

  20. enjoyed tonight at paradise with a huge wednesday crowd.

hard fought win, with several squad players winning the game for us,

first pick sinclair, you might have the managers blessing for your brilliance,

but, the little jink into the box, and the lay-off inside to the bhoys on the penalty spot will result in many many goals , than your shots

    obvious, but honest.
