  1. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Another win, another clean sheet , the sevs lose and McInnes is the new Jolly Jim Jeffries moan a like.

Not the best passing from us in the first half but better in the second half.

The greetin and moaning from the Aberdeen players and their version of Rev I M Jolly as a manager anytime we got a decision was really annoying .

Aberdeen should do themselves a favour and get Tommy Wright in as manager.

Liam Henderson really got under Ryan Jack’s skin at the end. Liam also pointed at the scoreboard to show Jack the score. Jack was motioning he wanted to see Liam outside.

Two very good sub appearances from Liam in our last two games.

Brendan is doing a wonderful job imroving our players.

And Brendan – what can I say. I was excited when he joined us but I never foresaw a season unfolding like this.

Like yersel I was sooooo exited when Brendan joined. I can remember the day so well because I had just had a stent put in after a heart attack and as I was lying in the ward recovering, news came in of Brendan’s appointment. I can still remember quite clearly the reaction of two Ayrshire stickies to the news on the tellie, stuck up on the wall for everyone to see/hear. One was pig sick, looking as if he was chewing a wasp, the other headed immediately into the toilet where he stayed for so long that one of the nurses (nurse Theresa from my days teaching her in Holy Cross Hamilton, bless) had to go and chap on the door and enquire as to his general health. Trying to contain myself in those circumstances was difficult, if entertaining!

But …………… Brendan IS the BIZZ!

Yes, Henderson is looking good. His ball control when that high ball came out of the sky late in the match was just beautiful. He looks much stronger physically too.

Did you notice the picture last weekend when he was beside Boyata? He’s nearly the height of him. The old adage kicks in there, “A good big yin is better than a good wee yin”. With the football, of course.

  3. Hendo is a warrior. Gallus on the park.

    More please!

Dallas CTV joked that Mcinnes wouldn’t be happy if he won the half tine draw.

    Me? One happy Celt.

25 pts clear on Feb 1st 2017. Looks like BR is taking Europe seriously. Possible treble and the loveable Chris sutton sticking it to MSSM. Whats not to like?

i tell you whats not to like. Awe you whiny arsed born again Old firmers bitchin and whining about the cheating refs the cheatin SFA and the lying MSM. So why dont the beloved custodians call them out? there is never going to be a better opportunity than now?

But they wont. The ref tonight was an absolute disgrace. It goes on.

This is Scotland. take it up the a**e or turn it up.

  5. Interesting comment from Brendan ,post match , saying the sheep tried to match us man for man . He told the players at half time to take more responsibility while moving the ball quicker with shorter passing range .

He correctly stated that Aberdeen barely tested our goalkeeper . A well deserved 3 points Good attendance for a midweek league game.

This season just keeps getting better.

Good read back on last couple of pages.

    CQN in a happy place.

    Time for the 4poster .HH

  6. Mags- even if Bren had a gun,

Was just thinking about what we have achieved this season in spite of the MIB’s. Tonight Aberdeen couldn’t get close enough to our box for him to give them something. Before i took my seat i was standing 5 yards from where Beaton was warming up, every so often he had a look around the place. His disdain was obvious. An out and out Hun if ever there was one.

  8. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Canamlar and Bada Bing, Liam should be in with a good shout for starting on Sunday.

He is a good player , hard , a Celtic fan and will get stuck in if selected against the ‘enthusiastic’ St Johnstone players.

Of course he is a hun! Its a prerequisite for the job!

We are in the 3rd century of this bigotry in Scotland but the Glorious balance sheet is more important(where is he BTW?). Its awe aboot money. I’m just wondering how long football can survive before its just another corporate lie.

  10. Margaret McGill on

One thing introspectively I’d like to add…Brendan Rodgers sure understands a game football tactically.

  11. Interesting situation at the moment in terms of those who are looking to come into the first team. In days gone by some players would have walked into the team even if not at the required level. Whether they be new signings or coming back from injury, it is clear that Brendan wants players to reach a certain level before they start matches. So much is going on behind the scenes to bring players up to speed. Guys like Boyata and Henderson have had to put so much work in on the training ground before Brendan has brought them in. Others like Rogic and Eboue are not even being considered until they are up to speed. The level a player needs to be at to be considered for a starting position is extremely high and long may it continue.

  12. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Art of war , the picture of McInnes’ glum coupon at Ibrox on Hogmanay confirmed what a miserable hun he is.

The Aberdeen players got Broonie booked tonight. At least three of them nipping the ref’s heid before he booked Scott.

Those peope who say we have it easy up here don’t take into account a ref’s tolerance of other teams approach to stopping our players.

At the end Jack had both his hands on Sinky’s shoulders , impeded him. Beaton gave a bye kick.

  13. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Art of War, did you see Hayes put his hand on the ref at one point in the first half? No punishment.

I can’t believe Derek Jolly played their best player as an auxiliary right back for most of the game plus used the right back to try and man mark Sinky in the first half.

Kevin Bridges was in a box behind us . He was celebrating as much as the rest of us after the final whistle.

  14. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

The pro hun reffing at the Hearts game was just as bad .

At the hun disallowed goal , the linesman did not raise his flag immediately . Only after the ref whistled.

Chris and Terry would have been right on the case had the ” goal ” not been disallowed.

    Love `em.

  15. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    Evening,all.

When I saw the team for the Rovers match,I said that it looked like Boyata must have impressed BR in training.

Up till then,a forgotten man,his Celtic career seemingly over.

In four games since,he’s hardly put a foot wrong at the back, and scored two winners.

    Well done,big fella!

    Strange first name though,so…

    JUST CALL HIM DEADLY!!!!!

  16. Grand, just grand…….

Before l go to sleep l will ask a person that l usually speak to before my meds kick-in, if a special guard could be appointed to ensure that, tunnels are not being dug under Brendan.

It took 30,000 empty seats to get BR here in the 1st place, don’t forget…..

Thoughts and Prayers for all Celts in need.

    …..zzzzzzz……

  19. As the gap W I D E N S the question on the mind of every Tim is

“How soon can we win the title?”

    Of course it is.

We should have a wee poll.

If those below us retain the same pace as we do, then a win at Tynecastle on April 2nd would put us beyond the possible points total of our title contenders.

Is it possible to secure the title earlier? In March?

Previous game is against Dundee on St Joseph’s Day on Mach 19th

    Feasible? Yes?

Earlier on March 12th at Celtic Park against anther Glasgow team could see a serious breaking of Lenten fasts.

    I’m inclining towards the former.

  20. If this was a classic 1 mile / 1500 metre race of 4 laps,

We would be close to lapping the 2nd and 3rd place sides.

Does that mean the gap is lessening?

  21. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    GG,

There are other fun things that could happen for 12th March

A few more hammerings for sevco before that game could see the hoard dwindle

The Plc looking for a deposit from sevco for ticket sales or selling them direct and taking ID for tickets would improve security.

A right good thrashing at Celtic Park to win the title would destroy them, season ticket sales would plummet, there’s lots to look forward to :)

You have reminded me of something I read about a year or two ago. Now a reality? Thankyou. I will research and you may have facilitated another visit to Paradise for the family sooner than expected.

On another note, maybe more contentious..?

I wrote this to a friend who was expressing concerns about the political context in the USA.

Such concerns appear to be on the agenda on CQN recently, aside from game time….

Anyways…. To those who have an interest, and those who write their opinions on these pages… here is my opinion/experience….

Majority of Americans are unaware of The Patriot Act, its undermining of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the power it has placed in the hands of the Executive and its ramifications. Essentially it emasculated the Constitution 15 years ago. George W and Cheney introduced the Patriot Act in the wake of 9/11, PR friendly Obama quietly extended it. Trump has it in his hands now. The Current administration are stretching/ exercising their ‘potential’ power, and sometime soon, Americans will wake up to what they silently acquiesced to in recent years. The demonstrations of the Left are too little to late, and illustrate the power of PR and media in ‘identity’ politics. Only bright side is American elite are worried about Trump exposing them for what they are, and have been doing…

So a power struggle between oligarchs is playing out in the media, a struggle between two wrongs, with most only seeing one wrong.

As the Chinese curse stated: May you live in interesting Times…
