The provisions are complex, far reaching and unknown to most Americans.
The entanglements with other laws passed by Congress make it difficult to unravel.
President Obama’s reauthorisation of certain aspects in 2011 may be challengeable in appeals court.
Like all knee jerk poorly thought out reactions to a perceived crisis, it is bulky and in many instances it contradicts the constitution.
There is no appetite in Congress to untangle the maze of provisions in the original bill with its subsequent add ons and confusing amendments.
They are, rightly in some cases, being forced out of their comfort zone by the Trump whirlwind and their local constituents’ desire to improve their job prospects and security.
In my own uninformed opinion, the unappointed back room DC bureaucracy have too much power to interpret or enforce provisions as they see fit and damn the consequences.
Any appeals resulting from errors will drag through the courts and will not affect their careers, salaries or pensions.
These are people who will remain embedded regardless of the administration.
When the winds of Trump change calm and disappear to be placed by whomever the anonymous, silent civil servants will still be in control of our lives.
They, more than Trump, are the real bogey men, and women.

From Jacko in Monday’s Record…
“Cathro was on the receiving end again yesterday when he took his Hearts team to Celtic, promising to go ‘toe-to-toe’ with the champions, before leaving with his tail tucked between his legs on the end of a four-goal thrashing.
It was the latest in a line of performances which have made this manager’s bold words appear more like empty rhetoric.
Cathro’s problem is one of public perception and not least among his own team’s support.
Some of them have decided this young coach – who sometimes looks as if he’s sent off to work with a packed lunch from his mum – is already so far out of his depth that he should ask her to sew water wings on to the sleeves of his favourite raincoat.
Hearts fans aren’t looking forward to Scottish Cup derby clash as Tynecastle has been kind to Hibs
His credibility was being called into question from the moment he was appointed and he was not helped by the usual smart-a***s on social media, one of whom described his partnership with Austin McPhee as some sort of ‘hipster experiment’.
Okay, hands up, that particular message was tapped out by these very fingers and although it was nothing more than a throwaway tweet from @tedermeatballs (whoever he is) it was also a fair, reasonable assessment of the gamble taken by Craig Levein.
At the time it seemed like an unnecessarily big risk to take a punt on a man whose credentials for the job were based almost entirely on new-age theory over practical experience. Cathro was up against it from the start, largely because he had never got his hands dirty. How could he when he was busy cutting and pasting his methods into the desktop of a MacBook Air?”
Honestly, you’d get more sense out of Jacko in Love Thy Neighbour.

Do you agree with that statement ?
If you do , and I can`t imagine a realist like yourself could fail to , then why would you doubt his intention to do exactly what he said he would do in relation to ” draining the swamp “.
Incidentally the “elites ” of Berkeley Uni. have issued a statement to the effect that it was ” outside agitators ” who were responsible for the riotous behaviour on their campus.

A few observation based on 3 games.
TRFC v Motherwell. Motherwell so poor it was difficult to assess how good TRFC were in respect of their opponents.
Celtic v Hearts. Hearts hardly got a kick of the ball against what wasn’t our strongest side so I thought they might struggle v TRFC even at home. Got that wrong.
Celtic v Aberdeen see above re denying them the ball.
Conclusion is that none of our nearest opponents are good enough to offer sustained competition and are much of a muchness.
Mind the chasm.

Henderson might be another player who is responding to BR’s magic. Glad to be wrong about him.

Last season I was saying Bitton couldn’t tackle a wet paper bag – quite why any player would want to tackle a paper bag (wet or not) is beyond me – but in the last few games he has been breaking up opponent’s play, making interceptions and generally being the type of midfielder he has always been billed as.
