  1. The Huddle – thought it was a straight red. Man U keeper got sent off against Derby the other night for less, but as long as we say nothing it will continue. Tell you one thing, NFL would not have stayed quiet on it. Could you imagine if it was one of sleazy G’s lot???? Only consolation today was that KT nearly cemented Shinnie at the end, that would have made my day

  2. Thought the Green Brigade got their song about Madden wrong today

He is Not a Orange B

He is a Cheating Orange B, in my opinion

Terrible display from the ref today

And Celtic, better to complain when we win, he is not protecting our players as he should in an impartial way

  3. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

CAMBHOY – two tackles near the end – KT’s and possibly Hendry (or maybe KT did both) were magic.

On the one you mention, he seemed to wait a half second to make sure timing was right to get ball and man – magic!!!

Nice to see WITS at the end of the game – hope the journey back to Dublin was smooth.

Thanks for the lovely lunch today.

We got the result today despite………..well, you know.

Onwards to Salzburg. A win there and we would be very well set up to qualify.

You are all over the place.

The Celtic board called out the SFA refs, they called them cheats.

NFL still hasn’t told us what was said

  6. lets all do the huddle ? on

cant wait for the hearts semi

    7.45 sunday evening at hampden

    magic

great for all the folk who work saturdays who can now get to a game

    monday off work sorted

    bring it on

  7. Don’t like to sound like I’ve a chip on my shoulder but there does seem to be an agenda with the officials…

Most are masons, the only way to progress to get to grade 1.

Beaton came from Carfin, he was best friends with a bloke I work worth.

He only went to mid week games at ipox as his goal was to be a grade 1 referee and had to ref game sat/sun.

He is blue through and through and a hand wringer like them all.

We will need to up our game 50% to beat the cheats.

  8. Bobby madden was incredible today. I normally don’t bother about bad reffing, but this was on another Level.

Jack Hendrix did ok today I thought. Aberdeen left him with the ball a lot and he stepped forward well. Was that hoodoo broken today? Is that the first time we’ve won when he’s started and finished a game?

On a related topic, what’s the score with Jozo? He would s a perpetual mystery. Has he gone to the same nether world as Izzy and Gamboa.

Onwards and upwards. Thought Mulumbu might get a run today. Think he might feature on Thursday. Hope so.

  9. The Huddle- so what has changed??? Son of Dallas has been promoted, Madhun does as he wishes, KT bear has a career ending tackle from Bowman, nothing said or done Laffery Against Lustig at the start of this month, could go on, but if you and your like are happy watching this hell mend you

  10. Hrvatski Jim

Pleasure to share lunch with you today

    How intelligent was the company?

  13. Celtic musical was brilliant tonight,Both Brendan and Bertie there ?

    Fairhill Bhoy

Sorry I never got back to you on Friday night, had to go to my cot as was working this morning.

Loved tonight at the Pavilion. Brendan must know now what he means to the grassroots support.

    What a reception he got.

    Great to be a Tim . . . . . . everyday !

  15. I see there is an international friendly against Portugal October 14.

This would be a good time to withdraw our players from the squad due to the heavy burden of league, cup and European fixtures.

Gordon, Tierney, McGegor especially, Forrest and Griffiths would all benefit from a wee break and working with their team mates.

  16. Clubs who sit at the back of the bus, don’t have the balls to withdraw players from squads, because, if, you sit at the back of the bus, then you play by ‘other’s’ rules.

When the club is Old Firm orientated, and it is, {Fergus McCann made sure of that} then, the stand alone club narrative is as believable, as the narrative that, we didn’t know about the £20 million Moussa bid, until the end of the transfer window!

Ye know, I could cite dozens of examples of PLC deceit, but what would be the point ?

How do you get a sheep to be rebellious ?

Murdoch Auld and Hay, God Bless.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  17. Brendan Rodgers loves the Celtic.

    Brendan Rodgers is boss.

    We’re gonna win the league…AGAIN!

  18. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    MACJAY

I first saw U2 on BBC2,summer of 81. They were the support band for Stiff Little Fingers at Queen’s University in Belfast.

Wow,I was blown away, they were everything I loved in life then, just energy and raucous noise.

    They were f…..g brilliant,mate.

I then saw them a coupla months later at Strathclyde Uni,Level 8. Their first ever mainland gig, apparently, and a few times at Tiffs on Sauchiehall St.

Aye,Bono might be a lot of things, but he fronts a great band.

Wasn`t being sarcastic about Bono , Bobby .

It was just a throwaway line about the global star which Conor has become .

My boy thoroughly enjoys his activities , in and out of the ring .

Hugely entertaining in an iconoclastic ( aka upyours ) sort of way .

  20. Good luck to Paul 67 and all the others running in the Great Scottish Run to raise money for the Celtic Foundation. It’s on BBC2 Scotland at 11am.

  21. Good morning CQN from a damp and chilly Garngad

How the feck was McKenna not shown a red card yesterday?

We gets one one sent off for Dissent and he tackles OE Hong Kong Fuey style. Ffs

The cheating from the MIBs is defo on now that games are closer and they feel they can influence proceedings.

What an infested cesspit we live in.

    HH

  22. Apart from Madden, I enjoyed the game yesterday. It was a bit like one of those oft referred old fashioned Cup Ties. Certainly not one for the purists but a rousing spectacle nevertheless. I wouldn`t like that to be the normal fare on offer but, now and again it is quite refreshing.

I share Brendan`s view that the `penalty` was not in the box ( I will be happy to be proven wrong later) but was a very obvious foul. That apart, I agree with the general view that Madden is a cheat and should not be allowed to referee Celtic or Sevco games ( no chance of that being implemented, of course).

Having said that, Broonie and Griff had long `chats` with him and he appeared to listen and give his point of view. I feel Beaton would not have allowed that without taking action.

    JJ

  23. There was a linesman not 30 yards from the McKenna assault on OE.

    It’s cheating full stop.

We should complain on H& S grounds.

If we do nothing it gets worse.

We should contest every decision in public call a rat cheat out at every opportunity, same as bully’s

  24. morning bhoys from a dreich wet Cheshire. as I said last night madden is even worse than tiny Wharton and he was the biggest orange masonic bassa on the planet.hh.

  25. BIG PACKY 1,

Did you know that Tiny was brought up a stone’s throw from Celtic Park? He was the only one of the boys in his street who could afford a ball and that was the only reason he got to play. He was THAT bad at playing the game. By the way, the boys all mixed together, whatever their faith or team. My father was 1 of them. John Cairney’s big brother was another. (I gather he actually played at professional level.)

If it’s true that he became a Mason, it was purely to get on.

  26. Good morning, friends from a dry, bright but chilly-windy East Kilbride.

A phrase I’ve probably never typed before but here goes – “that’s Celtic climbing up the table to 4th” ;-)

I’d happily be 5th at the end of today but only if it’s Livingston that jump ahead of us.

Anyway, singles day in the Ryder Cup and my charitable donation to my online turf accountant is with bets on any 4 of McIlroy, Casey, Rahm, Poulter and Garcia to win their matches.

    Have a Beautiful Sunday.

  27. looking at last nights comments on winning at Ajax in 82.

around that time I was going to all the games, well except europe away.

the celtic team was wonderful, we scored barrowloads of goals.

just a few weeks before we beat motherwell 7-0, and then after ajax game we went to tannadice to draw 2-2. that midweek, all 4 scottish clubs won their euro ties. United BEAT PSV. and aberdeen were great teams. the huns i think BEAT DORTMUND.

EX SLEAMUIR BHOY and myself went on the train, a big adventure, me 16, getting half fair on the train, the big fella only 15, but looked like a man paid full fair. less spends for the merrydown.

anyways, flicking through celticwiki, on the 82 year, someone asked recently, did you ever see danNy score a goal, well yes, the same day paul mcstay made his debut.

  28. Saint Stivs:

Remember going to the partick thistle game at Celtic Park just days after AC Milan beat us one nil and the attendance given as 29,000.I swear the crowd to be in the 50,000 mark.Went to the game on the Port bus big yogi scoring the only goal of the game.

    Memories CSC

  29. Unbelievably atmospheric scenes from the opening tee in Paris. As a piece of theatre it’s hard to beat (Celtic Park European nights excepted). Golf not the most popular on here so don’t worry, not too many live score updates!
