The trick today is that the happy clappers can say anything they want and are first to use abuse and I know abuse :)

They can’t and refuse to address the neg points, pouring scorn on the messanger is their only answer and they can’t see it as a loosing argument because there are cheerleaders egging them on, they don’t have the answers either. Frustration is a great motivator and impotence is a terrible argument.

  4. Ffs what did the Ref do to upset some on here.i think I know is it because he supports the dark side. I thought he the Ref had a decent game.them that always critizing him. Just Bigots.

Wee nephew just off the phone, during the EBT years he was in tears after they beat us, think it was Laudrop 0-1, in the TB years…..his words back then “uncle do we ever beat them” on the phone just there …….. “5 is magic” when you suffer the bad times (80s & 90s) the kids appreciate the good times !

  6. Timbhoy3

What did the referee do wrong? He awarded Aberdeen a free kick from which they scored when there was absolutely no foul. And yellow carded Efe! Have a look at the replay.

Why divide the house on a day when we’ve won 5-in-a-row ? God forbid people are clapping when we’ve done something historic – 5inarow…

Lots of question, lots of time.

    That’s my opinion anyway

    Well done today bhoys.

    Champions is what counts.

Enjoy today. Recriminate, learn and improve later.

BTW – madden is a negative influence we have little control over. Efe is a negative influence we control 100%.

Decent bloke who was psychologically destroyed by our last manager’s awful decision to play him against juventus. Time’s up.

Enjoy the present, the future might be a battle, but you cant do anything about the past

Sorry for any abuse you have suffered……but on a Celtic site is it ok for Celtic fans to enjoy themselves ?

By the way that was a rhetorical question, definitely no need need for any reply, as you stated months ago you have nothing to say to me…..

All kidding aside enjoy the moment

  11. TBJ...... TRUTH BRINGS JUSTICE on

Before their first goal their midfielder handled the ball when he fell .. same as celt in first half . Free kick against us yet no free kick against the sheep

Robson blatantly blocked paddy in the box

Shinnie committed a 5 second continuous foul on saidy and only at the end was the foul given . Shinnie moans at Madden then dives for a foul a minute later

And Efe didn’t commit at foul when free kick was given leading to a goal

Apart from that various fouls on roberts ignored and flood should have saw yellow st least 3 times

  12. Hamiltontim on

A brilliant wee day in Paradise. Well done Celtic here’s to the next 5!

    Normally a ref is – or should be- 50/50 (let’s say…).

Today, there wasn’t much danger we were going to lose the game (never mind the league) but the ref Madden was 40/60 in his decision making today in my opinion (Lustig booked for first tackle, Dons tackles that could have been equally sanctioned, dubious offsides , etc etc.).

Hopefully nest season, things will improve (cough, cough ….).

  14. Congratulations Celtic. That is my second five in a row in my lifetime. Hoping to see even more. Great first half but second was not so good, but we are the Champions. I hope to see more wins in my life time. But for now I am very happy.

Did anyone notice if the Plods deemed some of the singing by the opposition’s fans to be sectarian? I deem that some of the lyrics contravened the infamous Act. But then was the Act not implemented to drag Celtic supporters out of the terraces, homes and airports? Or did I get it wrong?

Any way we are Champions once more for the fifth time and that is what matters most today. HH.

  16. Aberdeen are crap…….Oh wait a minute its 3-2

Full time…………………… Aberdeen are crap again

Aberdeen score after another diabolical refereeing decision,

    in the old-familiar theme.

Celtic win the league but they’re no very good, SMSM’s mantra and we haven’t got the trophy yet. Not to be believed by Celtic fans, because we are once again infinitely better and Champions of Scotland, and in our rightful place. No panic sackings despite expert opinion, and lengthy deliberation to get one right again.

Informed opinion is that Celtic cut ties with the Deila project after the European fail, incredibly another manager is being set up for July and August when SMSM will lead the charge on him, and some Celtic fans will follow suit, on his progress.

That’ll be with Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and *The Rangers * breathing down his neck in a proper five horse race?

Pick a decade any decade and Celtic have had poor sides, we’ve amassed too many ordinary players and had an ordinary coach that didn’t build a team, but that’s not a reason for staying away.

The season ticket phenomena has dwindled since we peaked under Fergus McCann, and it’s even seen an end to our closest rivals, and yet it can still only get better for us, and now is not the time for battlefield desertions.

Meeting a Celtic fan that knows what Resolution 12 is shouldn’t come as a surprise, but it does, and they will still be learning what it is, well past season ticket deadline day, and the arrival of SFA propped up ‘Son of’ won’t cover the extinction of old Rangers, regardless of what Celtic say, or don’t say.

Our affiliation with Manchester City has served us well last season and this, with Jason Denayer then Patrick Roberts who is a level above SPL and if we stay ahead with our vastly superior resource, including superior business acumen then the futures bright.

We need to appoint an experienced manager, and break the bank to get him.

We may not all pull in the same direction

    Big wavy,

I am simply commenting on the division already exemplified by the comments made to neganon, I have already stated today we should put our negative arguments aside and enjoy the uncommon 5 in a row. Trick being, I have no intention in stopping people having their say, unlike some but will point out the mind set of those who gang up on people speaking their mind.

Wee town in Bavaria where I’ve spent a lot of time has its own wee beer festival, Spessartfest, over a week in August, and the beer is magnificent. However, the best I’ve ever tasted was fom the Oktoberfest which a wee pub there had got a hold of one particular year. Absolute nectar of the Gods that stuff!

Almost matched by Goudener Carolus on draught at the Beer Wall in Bruges.

This Stella’s suddenly not looking so good now!

  25. The Battered Bunnet on

I’m going to allow that those responsible for running the club observe largely the same things we do.

In that light, the decision that Ronny would not be our Manager next year was taken coincident with the end of the Europa League campaign.

While Ronny is an energetic, committed and honest man, his shortcomings as a manager were exposed in a series of deja vu performances against decent European teams. There was no sign that he was learning from his team’s experiences, and little sign of players improving wither at an individua or collective level, and by December his fate was sealed.

The team’s performances since then, including two ignominious Cup semi finals, simply accelerated the recognition amongst the support that Ronny had run his race, and validated the earlier decision to replace him.

Thanks Ronny, for your energy, your honesty and your humility.

Given the decision to replace Ronny was taken months ago, the process o selecting his replacement will have begun coincidentally. The Board has had 5 full months to plan for Ronny’s succession, and if they have been doing their job along orthodox lines, the new man is now signed up and working for Celtic.

The announcement of his appointment will occur once Ronny has had his day in the sun at Celtic Park next Sunday, takes the appreciation of the support, and exits stage left.

I expect the new man meanwhile has spent the last 4 weeks analysing the players he will inherit, and scouting widely for those he wants to sign. There remains just one further round of fixtures in most European leagues to see target players in the flesh, and the new man always sees his targets in the flesh. Utilising that past month to this end will be central to the new manager’s ability to work quickly ahead of the summer’s Champions League test.

Celtic’s financial position is such that we are able to both pay an EPL level salary to the new manager, and provide him with significant funds to overhaul the squad and create a new Celtic team.

While we will once again post an operating loss – running costs exceed the £50M or so income we have generated this year – and there will doubtless be some writing down of player values, the gain on the sale of Van Dijk, together with the substantial (>£10M) debtors due from previous player sales, and the increase in commercial income from the new Dafabet/Magners deal, places Celtic in a very strong cash position.

The CEO is on record as to the value of Glasgow Derbies to the club, and thus the forward forecasts look encouraging: All else being equal, we will increase income in the coming years.

A clear (though cautious) statement on Resolution 12 is expected iin the coming days.

All of this presents Celtic with an outstanding opportunity to generate good news, fire enthusiasm and re-engage supporters at Season Ticket sale time. All the stars align.

David Moyes has been on the payroll for the past month and will be unveiled formally in 10 days time, with confirmation that he has been given responsibility for the entire football department. Working within the financial boundaries determined by the Board, he will have free rein to structure, order and manage the football department according to his own judgement.

His approach is characterised by buying quality, developing it, and selling when the time is right. While he needs £6M per season in free funds, in his first season he will benefit from the club’s cash excess, and there will be a number of significant signings in the summer bought from a net £15M player acquisition fund.

Where Celtic have recently bought for £2M and sold for £8M, Moyes buys at £5M and sells at £15M. It’s a system he has refined over 11 years at Everton, and one which is readily transferable to Celtic, provided the pump is primed in the first year.

The first of his major signings will be announced prior to the Euros kicking off, with further substantial footballers following.

How do I know any of this?

Well, Celtic is a well managed business, and that’s how a well managed business operates.

It’s the obvious and natural thing.

    Champions!

Congratulations to the Bhoys and Ronny on The Five.

Ronny, it didn’t work, but I was among those hoping from your first day as manager that it would.

I hope you now take a deserved wee chill-out with your family, and return to football management soon.

You have just managed a club whose host country actively hates and conspires against it.

You have had to endure the 24/7 attentions of a poisonous and lying Press, with an agenda against both the Club you manage, and you yourself because you have the cheek to manage it.

You have had to put up with a corrupt, smug, arrogant and self-entitled Scottish football governing body, propped up by a bent and biased judiciary, and a police force that shrugs its shoulders as it follows orders and becomes camp guards.

Thanks for the Double and this years title, Ronny. And all the best for the future.

I would say haste ye back, but why would anyone want to come back to that?
