Very good play. Frustrating that an individual’s failure yet again behind us losing a goal in Europe.
Disappointing. We were excellent until they scored, but that knocked the stuffing out of us.
If I were Neil Lennon I would bin Ki and get Hooper on. It has been too easy for the Athletico defenders at times and many times we’ve had men over but no one in the middle.
A very bad goal to lose but we are still in this game.
We lost our way for 10 minutes after the goal and as usual we get to play against a team with a good keeper.

Plenty chances for both teams but our defence looking particularly generous. They are getting plenty of space in and around the box and are looking the more likely. Sammi best player for first 30 mins but whole team is now on the back foot.
Sammi has been our best player in the first half. We’ve had a couple of chances with a low ball across the box that hooper might well have converted.
Not a bad performance at all, but goals change matches.
Arguably AM scored against the run of play and it took the wind from our sails.
Still all to play for
Defence looking very panicked at times, Forster and Kayal for the goal. We have had our chances but AM are far too pacy for us.
Ki is a luxury,the number of times he watches instead of closing down is driving me mad.
On the whole we are not too bad considering this is a very good team.

Looked good for time up to goal which was a great goal made from skill as opposed to anything we did wrong. Mind you Kayal could have stood up.
Majstorovic badly exposed a couple of times. Ki has done the magic trick again. Come back Ki all is forgiven. You are allowed to do other things son than look nice linking up the play. Sad to Joe Ledley go off but script now written for Charlie.

Ledley’s injury is the most disappointing thing tonight for me.
He has been inpsirational in our recent run. The stats for our results when he plays and when he is missing are frightening.
Obviously I can’t remember them.

Not great shakes this Madrid team but we lost the head after the goal, poor return after we were doing so well. Neil tae get some fire back intae them at half time!! Deserve a draw at the very least.
Hoops for Ki… We can afford it if Sammi keeps up this workrate. Got to love the big fella! No idea what Beram was thinking!

unlucky so far but really great start… need to take chances at this level. we had a few…. early goal for us and its back on
Good performance against a good team. Shame about some of our fans who seem determined to get us reported to uefa again, their stupidity is incredible.
I think these games tell you a lot about some of our players – the quality players can show themselves and others are exposed.
2nd half opportunity for all of them to show what they are all about..before we draw any conclusions..
Beram didn’t duck, the ball was only three feet of the ground when it passed him- should have stayed on his feet. Knocked the wind out of us but Neil will get them up again – tip my cap to the GB, outstanding!

Before the goal, Celtic looked dangerous and their tails were up, but they could have done with Hooper on the end of some of those chances, particularly that spurned by Sammi from Dan’s flick on.
After the goal – flat, flat, flat. Ledley injured as well – a huge loss.

We’re playing ok. Athletico are a good team but we’ve created chances and I think we might still get a result.
Samaras, Stokes and Forrest are looking dangerous. If it’s still 0-1 at 55 mins, I’d bring on Broonie for Ki, playing him on the right and move Forrest into the Messi position.
Does nobody else notice that the ref blew for half time 1 minute 43 intae injury time when there was 4 added???

Our defence doesnt clear the ball well at all they head it out or kick it clear only to the feet of the Atletico players they need to be more composed and not so paniky and find a team mate when they play the ball out.This is a very good side we are playing and we are not out of it yet but as I say a bit of composure would help.H.H.
