I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on the second half performance, from my vantage point I saw a team that lost their fluidity and imagination.
Basic common sense dictates that when you replace a midfielder with a forward you’ve got more forwards waiting for a ball from midfield where there are less players.
Tonight we saw the result of such a move and from my perspective we competed in the first half and had midfielders and forwards linking up and running at the Atletico defence, in the second half I saw Celtic defenders pumping 60 yard passes to our static forwards who then attempted to control these 50/50 balls and then try to turn.
That my friend is where we differ, I want to see football with imagination and a little skill, should I want to see kick-and-run I’ll watch school kids.
Tonight was an opportunity for the Celtic players to continue being WINNERS. Tonight they became losers again and I find that hard to accept.

i would say though poor Dave Ki did not have a good game, and most times when we were putting together some movement up front he totally missed the opporchncity to pass.
some raving about sammi also, didnt see it myself tonight either.

BTW PAOK have given an absolute master class of how you defend as a team.
Absolute master class – who goes, who stays, who covers when one goes – putting your body on the line, team 1st, it has had everything.
This is where Uefa and me now disagree (as a former defender) I think defensive units like that display today is as good an art as the best pass and move teams.
Thrilling to watch them work in sync without having to check over shoulders, shout at each other etc

I think you need a reality check buddy. We’re all disappointed with the result but one game does not make this team ‘losers’ as you refer to them. In 3 short weeks this young team have clawed themselves back into a title race which many, including our own supporters, had written them out of.
Tannadice on Sunday is our barometer not against teams that cam afford £35m for a striker. Winning on Sunday is what really matters and I hope that in your eyes our players will become winners again.
Your determination to be negative about Celtic aside for just now, why on earth would you misquote me 3+ times.
I never used the experssion “grow up” once in in my post.
I never used the experssion “asset management” once in my post.
The first is to imply I patronised you.
The second, well, doesn’t even fit in the context of what I said.
Why on earth would you misrepresent me in that post to such an extent, that a tabloid hack would be proud of, when all I did was counter your negative arguments with fair responses imo???
Jury is out on you.

Good quality match tonight, AM best team Celtic have played this season
Thought our opponents deserved their win, superior technically, better athletes and intelligent players
AM R/B was superb
We were fortunate second half, cut open easily at times big Fraser to the rescue
Young Matthews good going forward weak defensively, Big Dan poor and Ki was anonymous in open play
We have made progress in the competition since the debacle in Sion, we had a very tough group
Back to priority NO.1 SPL and Dundee Utd, who have a poor back four
First time for everything well done Neil superb after match press conference
Had to laugh at Murdo and his mates at the BBC having a go at about Neils after match views and honesty? try Irony Murdo et al

The reason we couldn’t get a hold of the ball was due to our system not being properly implemented.
They play in a league where exploiting space is crucial.
We are to far apart and not compact enough so we were ripe for picking.
We afford spl teams a lot of space but they are not good enough to exploit.
Filling gaps with extra men would not be necessary in a better implemented system no matter what formation you play.

If Atl M are indeed mid-table, ie, no 9 in their respective pussy league.
We should have indeed taken more off of them tonight.
If they stay at No9 when we face the Udinese, mibbes worth a wee punt of £9 on Sammy to score, espcially if odds are 9-1 or similar.
