    Well said M8.

My wife and her sister and kids made their donations to the

Wee Oscar buckets ootside the stadium. I was supposed to be wi them but

was lucky to get extra shift this morn.

Anyway…..the IMPORTANT objectives of the day were achieved.

May God Bless Wee Oscar and the Cellic

    Hail Hail

Great to see some sunshine and so many bucketeers out today – a highly visible campaign and impossible to miss a bucket on the way to the ground.. But still not on your face .. The target is important but regardless of the sim raised today each and every one of the organisers and volunteers ensured maximum impact!

Superb work bhoys and girls in the finest Celtic tradition

If only it all came down to goodwill, caring and love alone, wee Oscar would be well on the way to recovery.

    God bless all involved

I know, I’m itching to get back to normal here :o)

No, seriously…the Wee Oscar Day as I would call it

should bring the gripes that folk like me have aboot

the Cellic, into focus and should be put in perspective.

Today is – Wee Oscar Day.

Sack the bored can wait till next week :o)))

I thought we did fine today. I thought James is a wee bit short on confidence right enough and Dylan might be due a start soon and give the wee man a rest. I also liked the look of Big Lassad. I was very happy to get three points and I’m looking forward to Tuesday then spanking the mullet. Where were all the fans from Wednesday btw? That was our hard core support today. As a Celtic fan what else would you rather do on a sunny Saturday afternoon? Brilliant effort today for wee Oscar and well done to the Green Bucketeers. HH.

  14. Pleasant amble home from Paradise to the south, on a beautiful dappled autumnal afternoon after another Celtic stroll.

Celtic were as bright and motivated as the magnificent Wee Oscar Collectors and Dundee with a good sized travelling support made up the numbers, we were never in danger after the expectable and noticeable midweek stiffness of opposition, standard drop.

The difference at times was about two metres of space more for each Celtic player when in possession, and it was a game where the margin of win was the only debate, despite Scott Brown’s too centrally hit, penalty miss.

Lassad took over from Miku to partner fully fit again Hooper and was unlucky not have scored after heroics from Douglas who saved a second half goal worthy header, whilst Hooper himself rattled the post, and overall the scoreline flattered Dundee.

NL reverted to twin strikers for the bread and butter fayre, and Forrest and Commons with the extra space menaced throughout, Brown shrugged off his miss, and with Wanyama totally dominated the midfield, and Victor topped it off with a cracking goal, in off the Dundee post.

The back four were never really troubled and sauntered in that autumn sunshine.

    Trivia

Stein, Tully and Mochan were all fit and came back into the team at the expense of Boden, Smith and Collins.

    Review

Celtic attacked briskly at the start as was usual with Mochan and Tully combining well. Fernie and Walsh switched positions. Curran was kept busy in the East Fife goal. Walsh scored the first goal after a good work from a pass from Fernie. Fallon had to retire with an injury to his left leg. He returned but was clearly not 100%. At half time it was 1-0 to Celtic.

Fallon failed to appear for the second half. Mochan scored after interplay between Walsh and Fernie. The goal appeared to rouse East Fife and they started to apply some pressure to the Celtic goal and defenders – now down to ten men. Leishman hit the post and on 67 minutes Fleming forced the ball over the line. Stein was booked for complaining. Fleming then got a second from a Stewart cross.

  16. Football wise, I might be in a minority of one, but I really enjoyed it, and thought we were worth many more goals.

The bucket collection, actually a pleasure. Good to reaquaint with so many faces, it was actually a good laugh.

Met Ton Che Dan for the first time, good bhoy and his weans are doing great.

Highlight, Dundee supporters bus stopped at the school and most of the older well oiled guys gave generously.

    Lowlight,

I need to apoligise to the teacher from Carlisle in Battaltion E.

He didnt take kindly when he said ” i dont post on CQN”

i gave the standard “is it cos your a hun”

sorry bud, its a ritual on here.

  17. Anyone know when we

    will find out how much

    money was raised today for

    Oscar ?

    Happy Celticing to

  18. Poor again today. Buckets I passed going to game seemed very full. Done my bit with paper money.

As football supporters we really are special, God Bless you all and I include you Awe_Naw

  19. Wasn’t at the game today but did Commons play well again? Craig Levein is the envy of his peers. He has 7 or 8 midfielders better than KC to chooses from.

Was initially confused with your game report re East Fife 1954. However my addled brain eventually worked it out.

My first game was against East Fife also but it was Marxh 54. We won 4-1 with Johnny Higgins scoring twice.

My next game was at Broomfield on St Patricks Day 54 when we trounced Airdrie 6-0 on our way to winning the league and cup double.

Amazing I can remember these when I forget what I had for dinner yesterday. Friday it was fish. Old habits.

  21. Im 51 and many days in my life have been squaundered for one reason or another.

Today thanks to the celtic family I sit here knowing I have had a productive and satisfying day.

I am taking this opportunity to thank everyone involved in today If you are aged two to eighty, male or female put two pence or twenty pound into my bucket THANK YOU:))

The generousity of our family never fails to amaze me.

Today at points I was nearly reduced to tears from kids(with coppers in money bags) to pensioners putting in what they could and more.

The game itself was an exibition in passing today broonie and vic top men for me but others also.

It was magic putting faces to names

Ps a special thank you to Lennybhoys good lady for getting us in and out today.

God bless wee Oscar & family, Ohhhhhh and how come Mouldy got all the wags in his group :))))). HAIL HAIL

  22. attendance was, according to bbs sport, 41000. to my mind it is good for a games against dundee after the home game on wednesday which seen 58000 turn up and pay up

we collected 3 points and we seen your most promising young players getting more game time, with the weather players such as, victor 21, forrest 21, mathews 21, hooper 23 etc…

our club will pocket the best part of 20 million from european football, we have a good young squad and one that is not blotted so young players coming through the youth system will get opportunities to progress with us.

our club have plans to improve all aspects of the club i.e. celtic triangle etc… and the best the sfa/ spl can come up with is a complaint against us about a zombie banner which is offensive, god help us all!!!!!!!!

think maybe pl can take a leaf out of CG book ant tell then to do one
