IMO Neil gets the players to play in a controlled manner week in week out and with good reason. It has to become second nature, such that when we play in the CL we do not suddenly have to change the manner in which we play or are setup.
I also think other managers have learned from Neil how to play against a team with better players. Allow possession in the first 2/3 rd of the pitch and no space in front of goal. Hit them on the break.
Hopefully long term this will improve the standard of play in Scotland.

As an aside I read today that Polish fighter pilots flying hurricaines shot down the majority of German aircraft in the battle of Britain, not English Public School Chaps in Spitfires. The Poles had seen more action than their Brit allies before escaping occupied Poland and coming to Britain to continue their fight against Fascism. Artur Boruc was not one of them.

The fans have embraced and considering the circumstances we are in they have more than did their part to bring back the thunder.
Today’s performance is not unusual.
Look at our home results this season.
Our cautious playing style is a factor in the dwindling numbers.
European nights are exciting but our mundane playing style in Scotland is turning off the support.
Our superior playing squad to other Scottish teams has been negated by one dimensional cautious tactics.
