  1. Fingers just about thawed out. A good routine victory, Brown outstanding, VVD not far behind. Commons does what Commons does in SPFL, still wouldn’t start with on Thursday though.

  2. Nye Bevans' rebel soldier on

We huffed and puffed in the first half, typical Euro hangover

stuff, once we got the opening goal we were on easy street.

Well done to all those who turned up on a miserable day,SB

was immense,I’m feeling very confident that we are on the right

road, big games coming thick and fast…that’s they way I like it.

  3. Last stat to bore you with- 89 goals in total – 22 different scorers – Guidetti top man with 13 then Kris with 10. Will be a stable old season if wecein the treble without a single scorer hitting 20 goals – but I’ll take it ! Back to the accounting …..

  4. Just settled down, fingers thawed oot and onesie on (not as good as ACGR’s one ),

anybody think Griffiths will start up front on Thursday?, I hope so as I think a bit of pace is needed, great performance from the bhoys second half, Broony was immense.

Still think big Efe’s a bombscare though.

I think Griffiths will start in San Siro, no reason to make any changes from Thursday’s starting eleven.

    Time for apologies to Ronny?

Backed up by a primitive Scottish press, some of our own demanded the head of Ronny.

PL must give funds to the manager in the summer.

    Good win for the hoops

Take a day to chill then get revved up for Milan

Enough about me what about the team

  8. mullet and co 2 on

I expect Guidetti to start on Thursday as he looked better playing on the shoulder of the narrow inter defence.

We played so many balls down the channel attempting to get thm just over the inter defender on the flank I think a no brainier to play Guidettti. Must have been 8 or 9 balls flighted in the same manner at home. Had a good view of them in 413

  9. Just thawed out, delighted with result, I thought Broonie was excellent and I agree with other posters that we are looking a fitter team. I was a bit concerned about Forrest he didn’t really look interested in imposing himself on the game.

  10. Just read Davie Provan’s tuppence worth in the Sun ( missus brought it in fae work ),

another ex player who just doesn’t get it, embarrassing lap of honour…. Celtic in decline…

same old bullsh@t, sorry shuldnae have read it.

I expect us to score 2 on Thursday. How many we concede will be down to number of mistakes.,

They are doing their masters work by deflecting from Scotland’s shame

No real Celtic fan/ explayer are ever asked for their opinion

They don’t bother me as they are insignificant clowns to a man

The media in general seem to have a problem with either Ronny or the team showing their appreciation of the fans at the end of the game.

Surely they wouldn’t rather see us lose and just slink up the tunnel with our heads bowed, would they?

    ………..or would they?

    Only cramp according to Ronnie.

  15. Captain Beefheart..

Asolutely!! Apart from the usual ‘anti everything’ Celtic rags of chip papers and ‘anti everythin’ Celtic trash radio stations, there are also the ones who made a living from playing for Celtic and now cant say a good or positive word about them.. We wont forget you guys.. not for a long time.

    Ronny even

    =================================================================

Ronny said it’s ok how you spell his first name ( was going to say Christian name but might be accused of being sectarian ) It’s when people lazily pronounce his surname the same as the cook fae Norwich City fame ;)))

The sheep game is more important than Inter Milan.

I’d be more than happy just to win the league, anything else is a bonus.

4 IAR sounds good to me.

    Brilliant Celtic.

  18. Ellboy - I am Neil Lennon, YNWA. on

While he’s always been an important player, Scott Brown may just be enjoying his most consistent spell at the club. So far my player of the year but I think he’s been able to find this consistency of performance, due to no small part of the inclusion of Nir Bitton. What a player this Bhoy is, he’s got everything you want in a modern day footballer & is only going to get better. Like some others have said already, we really need to get him tied up long term.

    Make it happen Peter. HH!

  19. Very frustrating afternoon.

    Got to Paradise at 12.00

Sat on the bus for half hour only to find out at half 12 that the Charlie had opened at 11!!

Oh and well done the Hoops!

  21. Email sent to Radio Clyde last night, wonder if I’ll get a response apart from automated standard reply from David Walker, content controller,Clyde 1.

Mr Hugh Keevins ( of Irish heritage ) is completely wrong and out of order to bang on about Celtic Football Club’s supporters sing the Irish national anthem and also bracketing it as sectarian as a caller put it. The programme started off speaking about incidents regarding the singing by Rangers’ fans of anti catholic chants and anti-catholic/black people ( ref Stan Collymore ). Pure whataboutery by this excuse for a journalist. stating that the Irish national anthem being sung at the game on Thursday was misplaced, this man is a disgrace. Celtic Football Club are not a Catholic club, Celtic are a club open to all regardless of religious persuasion. Same old story, Rangers fans sing abhorrent songs of being up to their knees in “Fenian blood” and chants of “You’re just a black fenian bastard” somehow turn round to Celtic, astonishing but unsurprising. I as a Catholic demand an apology.

We can afford to loose to the sheep and still win the league IMHO

On the other hand I have promised 2 of my nephews that I would take them to the next away match in Europe

I hope I’m not expected to pay

  23. Captain Beefheart

So many clowns quick to take the lead of the pathetic MSM and their divisive anti celtic agenda.

If it is not a penny pinching board then it is a player wanting away then it is an untried young coach out of his depth……..as opposed to super ally eh ?

The media will never allow us to have any sense of celtics leadership actually progressing.

The alignment between fans and team and now the team leadership must be terrifying them.

Even perma malcontents on here starting to wake up to a positive initiative by our leadership at the club.

I have not read anywhere that the coach has asked for any particular sum of money for the summer. You seem to be banging that drum on your own right now ?

You almost sound like a desperate media mischief maker.

Our young coach got what he wanted for the January window and I am sure has his mind on his targets for summer. ……. His priority for now is winning a treble and seeing if he can eek another big European night or two or three from the Europa league.

I do hope like many Celtic fans you can enjoy these great times and you feel you can cheer your team onto winning this year while it is happening.

Leave the worrying about next years centre halves or back up striker for a week or two.

One certainty as shown by David Murray and many EPL wasters is that throwing money at it is not a panacea.

  24. I include Packy Bonner in this-an over-rated goalkeeper if ever there was one–tell the souptakers they are not welcome at Celtic Park until they can show at least a semblance of reason when commenting on the club. The Record? They need Celtic more than Celtic need them. Take the advertising and other work off them and give it to someone honest. People will say this would show Celtic in a vindictive way. My reply would be that the vindictiveness didn’t start with us, but it will finish there. BBC? No use writing to BBC Scotland. They are in the same position BBC N. Ireland were during the troubles. I was banned from TV?Radio for 10 years. To be fair RTE did the same. Both cheeks of the one arse.

  25. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

Fair enough comment BT,however I would prefer to get the league title wrapped up asap – then you begin preparations for the 5 IAR and so on,and so on.

I think that we can eliminate the Italians, then hopefully draw one of those Mickey Mouse English teams in the last sixteen – thus saving you a few quid in travelling expenses.

    It’s all good.

I agree with you re Kris C for Thursday though. The legs of the younger ones will win it.

Although maybe Kris for the last 25 mins might just be a different threat if needed.

I agree with you on this occasion

Maybe because you posted an honest opinion without coming across as condescending

  28. Only 4 fouls conceded today – possibly symbolic of a one sided game.

21 conceded against Inter – we’ll have top reduce that on Thursday – so many of them were silly jersey tugs, pushes etc.
