There is no Chippy van in gartsherrie need to walk to Sandros next to the Bammy, by the way I am a summerlee bhoy, just doing missionary work in the proddie enclave known as gartsherrie :-)

No disrespect to any proddies in my last post as Celtic & Cqn is open to all, in my fact I married a brilliant prod ….. Ah mean Sevconian :-)
This would prob be the only transfer window that I couldn’t care either way if we get anyone else in or oot, that is some achievement to make me feel that way

That was a good day out.
Well done Celtic
Both full backs impressive today
Keiran for stamina and running
Gamboa for the slide tackles and a good spring in his jump
*Gordon alluded to 3 GC wins that would take our domestic run that season to 29.
The GC was a decent trophy at one time, and seen on par with the League and SC, however tae be perfectly honest similar tae sir furious devaluing the FA Cup Jock did the same tae the GC when he sent a shadow side out against deidco who were at full strength except for their goalie who had been on trial with us and them but chose the venomous ones.
We rested big Billy, Brogie, Luggy Jinky, Harry Harry, the Buzz Bomb, Yogi, our Lisbon match winner and wee ten thirty from the side that had triumphed 2 days earlier at swinecastle. John Fallon was also left out but this was due to a bereavement in the family.
What made this all the sweeter was it was the only trophy that deidco held and 2 days later a fully strengthened side shipped 3 goals tae the Bully Wee in a 5-3 victory.
Another record is out there but you won’t hear or read about if from the SMSM and that is deidco’s 29 game unbeaten run from their 3-4 loss to Dundee on August 15 1992 until a John Collins and Andy Paton double ended that run on March 20, 1993, this was the game where mitb hope allowed them to kick off while some of our players were celebrating the 2nd goal in their half.
If we should prevail it will be at our SC game against ICT, will we hear much more on this, only if we fail in our efforts to overcome it.

Worthy runner-up 4 times!
I always appreciate score updates when I am away and I know that others do too so I do my share sometimes.
Given that so many mainstays of the team 8 weeks ago were out today, it was a very good team performance.
Especially good to see players step up to the mantle and look comfortable.
However, we must be cautious about comparison with any Scottish team just now as none of them is European standard.
Truth about our progress will be told in August.
Bring it on.

Always nice to pump the Jambos.
Even without 3-4 of our best players, we look invincible.

the young yins contribution is excellent, gamboa, tiernay, paddy , henderson especially in that last 20. hertz are going backwards,

Brendan’s interview after the game….. We need to improve, the players have been great but there is always improvements that can be made, Craig Gordon staying, he is important to the the team and I would expect a new contract……we want to keep the club progressing
Brendan could be the most important squirrel we have ever acquired
I really like Craig Gordon but I would be trying to get BR here for loads of seasons, come on Mr Lawell get your finger out Brendan could safeguard your bonus for years :-)
Apart from some issues with our supporters I think PL does a great CEO job, no wonder that Dermott Desmond guy is minted……

Of course I realise that, my post was a Coatbridge thing to Jude….
Big Jock, Scott Brown…… Who cares about religion when it comes to Celtic
Apologies, when I read back I cringed myself…… There was no malice intended
Great result.Terrific performance. Not a failure in hoops. Even a world class prematch Gazebo.
Without arguably six first choice starters, no recognised striker and a last minute adjustment to team and shape, Celtic were magnificent.
Not even the sterling efforts of the Bigotdome season ticket holder could upset the bhoys on their way to a historic victory.
The whole team played well and Liam provided two sublime passes to free KT to set up goals 2 and 3, when he came on.
Gamboa and Boyata were flawless and Bitton moved the ball quicker and forward, while Callum kept up his metronomic, receive, pass and move precision, that is vital to our play. He really did deserve his goal.
A great day in Paradise where the support almost equalled the quality of the product on the park.
These are great days to be a Tim.

Without trying the become the John Calvin of this hallowed site, and despite having been there in 1966-67 and still here now, I have say that until the last few weeks I had never heard of this record. Indeed I do not recall it back then or since. Indeed I stated on here that, whatever, it had been eclipsed by Martin O’Neill’s Celtic in 2003-2004. Others have pointed out that it did not include three victories in the Glasgow Cup which would have made it 29. And here is another thing, and this is where the Lisbon Lions are non-pareil, it does not include four victories in the European Cup which would make it 33 games. (And for the purists it does not include beating Manchester United in August 1966). Now don’t get me wrong I am all for breaking records, and I’m all for creating them, but I am not so keen on inventing them.
But if it makes you Happy

Brilliant effort today, i thought there were some really good individual performances. Gamboa, KT and Bitton were outstanding. Boyata did very well again as did McGregor. Bitton showed more aggression in his play and a willingness to drive forward when the opportunity was there. There was a conscious effort throughout the team to take more responsibly in an attacking sense, in the absence of key players. Henderson did very well when he came on which will do his confidence the world of good.

I said to one of my mates in the pub that it’s a very specific record. Longest run of unbeaten domestic games for a new manager.
No-one is really comparing Celtic 2017 to Celtic 1967. BR wouldn’t either, but let’s give out credit where due. He has worked wonders with the nucleus of a team who had previously won medals at boring the pants off the fans.
He clearly knows how to get the best from players. Whether it be a boot in the baws or an arm round the shoulder,EVERY SINGLE PLAYER has improved from last season.

Great result! I thought a slip-up was on the cards when I saw the line-up and injuries! But no, and great to see a record broken.
