He had a reasonable game but was way behind our marauding full backs, and the much maligned (by me amongst many) Bitton. Boyata and Simunovic looked solid again, McGregor came in at the last minute and gave another good performance, and Henderson’s passé to Tierney for goals 2 and 3 were sublime.

Another enjoyable day at Paradise . Brendan Rodgers deserves so much credit for lifting every aspect of these Celtic player’s performances this season. Having good players or better players is only one aspect of a successful team . When you combine talent with a strong work ethic and teamwork , you then have something special. I think we are witnessing something that could become very special.
I thought Bitton and Gamboa both had terrific games. Tierney and Sinclair were top class.
Nice catching up with plenty from CQN ,especially the far travelled Dena & Wits.

Sounded to me that he thought that Onyekuru was a done deal then the Belgians started playing silly buggers with us and the boy. He’s now not featured in last two games and is quoted as saying they are pressuring him to change agents and go elsewhere in the summer.
BR did say that if the players he wants aren’t available in this window then he’s happy with what he’s got and will wait until the summer.
Gerryfaethebrig on
Stairheedrammy
I listened to Brendan and am afraid to say, “we” the club are doing everything we can to add to the squad, but sometimes it’s outwith our control, BR’s words “we” are all, working to move our club forward, I am happy with my squad but I have told the players I want the whole club to progress, thus is what we are here to do…….
Fact
SuperSutton on
I’m in agreement with nearly everyone on those who excelled today. Tierney, Gamboa, Bitton and so on.
One important name missing. Craig Gordon.
I read back and saw that two of his passes out were highlighted as mistakes he made. They were mistakes of course but not significant. And they were in the spirit of doing as Rodgers requires. Play the ball from the back.
And many times his passes out to Gamboa and Tierney were superb. It was his throw out that initiated the attack for the first goal. As a keeper he had very little to do in the way of making saves.
But he made one very important and excellent save at 2-0 which ensured we wouldn’t endure a nervy ending.
In no way am I saying he was close to motm, but his contribution to the team is deserving of as much recognition as the others.

Like Wednesday, we had 6 players that quite easily could have been MOTM. Magical consistency and performance levels.
I thought I heard Brendan voicing some unhappiness with the club having had 6 months to find and sign the type of player he wanted for this window, without managing to bring the player in. I thought he was making a statement to whoever has this role in the club- PL
after the usual Sunday dinner routine family have all departed – great to have the grandkids but peace now reigns – my son in law still reckons KT to Stoke -still haven’t stopped laughing
apparently Charlie Adam tweeted that he was very impressed with KT this afternoon
Btw . Can Bobby Madden count to ten ?

Sounded to me that he thought that Onyekuru was a done deal then the Belgians started playing silly buggers with us and the boy. He’s now not featured in last two games and is quoted as saying they are pressuring him to change agents and go elsewhere in the summer.
BR did say that if the players he wants aren’t available in this window then he’s happy with what he’s got and will wait until the summer.

Fact

You could have stopped at “I thought” deal with the facts, thinking is pure rubbish
