Balde has the build and the presence to be a good centre forward.
After that goal tonight he should start on Sunday along with another player up front to help him out.
He may not be subtle but he certainly gives it all he has.
Why not try him and Pukki on Sunday together?

Great to see Amido score even if it was fortunate. Pukki appears to have more control over the ball but Balde offered more threat in terms of running at them. I am still absolutely astounded at paying £2m for Balde though. Virgil Van Dyke could do a job for us up front why not shift Charlie back for a few games other may see this as taking the michel but we are about to make another bid for Griffiths and he is not the finished article either.

Lenny’s policy of giving him the last 10 minutes seems to be benefitting him. Tonight’s 20 minutes was epic by those standards.

Balde is progressing just nicely under Neil with a longer run out tonight and chance to avoid early pilloring by some in our support willing him to fail for their own agenda.

Superb again all over the park.
Hard to pick a MoM, quite a few contenders.
There was a passage in the first half when we had the ball for about 4 mins, I was hoping we were going to score from it, must have been over 100 passes.
Our movement was superb. it’s no easy trying to break down a 12 man wall.
