Just in from the game, good to see us playing in positive forward moving manner right from the off, especially first half we were Flyen, second half we let them get some of the midfield without any threat Big Fraser one save and a good one at that, Wee Jamsie played really well first half good to see, but a very good entertaining shift, whats not to like.

  2. On the way back from the game listening to RS. Did I hear right that Novo might be playing against us on Sunday?

If it’s true and to make it a fair contest, Izzy should hop on one leg and have one hand over an eye :-)

  3. TET

To be honest was more than a bit lucky. Took Chelski to win on 1 line and @-2 in a trixie.

    When it looked like they were toiling (in-play) – I stuck on £3 @85/1 on A. Madrid + B. Munich both losing 1-0 + Hearts at 1-1.

Bayern scored the winner in the 94th minute – Barca are 5-1 up (so my -2 looks OK).

Luck must be in – thought I had 3-0 on Predictor – just checked had 4-0!

Away to check the Lottery ticket. :-)

  4. I though Pukki’s movement and link play was first class tonight.

Amido didn’t have enough time to get into the game for me, but he had a few very good touches, his movement and awareness was very good, a tad fortunate for the goal, but it ended up in the back of the net.

He will come good, he will never be a BBJ or a Sutton, but he do ok.

Pukki is no an out and out striker, I said before that I think he was bought to take over from Kris.

  5. Never seen the game tonight as I am back in Brno this week.

I am like most people and would like a box office striker , but as a guy who has watched us for 30 years I have now decided that these are not bad times for us.

Life has more important things in store for us and Celtic is a great thing to be a part of, for me it’s about the friends I have met and people I still have to meet, but I have seen us play and meet people in many country’s and the bond that is Celtic makes me proud.

Yes I would like some things to be better, but as we all know we have seen darker times, so for me now I will just enjoy being part of this great family, and that’s enough for me

  7. Super Joe show tonight abily assiste by every other player on the park.

Well done Celtic, it was not competitive, but the pass and move football, James running, Kris vision. Had the company of my nephews tonight, great fun taking kids to the game.

Where was the bloody bus though!

  8. Neganon2

So Pukki is on the naughty step too ? Do you rate any of the current squad or does that impact on your premise that everything is crap and saying you rare might lead to a view that not all us bad ?

At which point your head just melts with cognitive dissonance overload :)

TET Liked the look of Johansen in his 10 min appearance, simple give and take with movement into space, plus chasing back, and simple forward passing, all witnessed in that period

Is it Jordan Rhodes we have bid for ?

Ahhhhh 26% tuned 122 channels now we’re talking

  13. Anyone that’s says Pukki is a poor player has never played at any level.

Nor do they have a grasp on what a good footballer is.

No doubt the folk who constantly say our players are awful at football are about 18 stone and can’t control their bowels let alone a football.

  14. Forrest was magnificent tonight and was MOTM by a distance. FF had one thing to do and made a great save with his feet, the back 4 strolled through the game with the fullbacks playing more like wingers. Commons had one of his quieter games, as did Mulgrew but Ledley & Brown combined well and dominated the midfield.

Pukki isn’t strong enough nor fast enough to lead the line, he’s better playing a bit deeper.

Boerrigter continues to be the biggest disappointment of all of our signings.

If Balde is a rough diamond then he looks like it’ll take years to polish him if he only plays a couple of minutes here and there. Send him out on loan to get games.

  15. JimmyQuinnsBits on

Didn’t see the game, but sounds satisfying, very satisfying

Embdy give any lowdown on how Johanson looked?

  16. Carlisle are taking a look at Derek Riordan,

with him currently on trial with the club.

Riordan, formerly with the likes of Celtic and

Hibernian in the Scottish premier league, is a

free agent and had been trying to earn himself

a deal with Antwerp but wasn’t able to do so

    with the Belgian club.

To think wee Strachan got pelters for not starting him. .

Not a lot better than doing Killi… one of my least favourite teams.

On another note, on the way down the 77, a 9 counties bus passed me, hats off to those Celts that travel each week.

    Enjoyed the game tonight

He was on Radio Scotland a couple of weeks ago. One of the journos asked him why he thought it was that a footballer with as much talent and experience as he had could even find a club he could play for free (he offered this to Hibs). Derek simply didn’t know why…

Just in. There is something I like being at Celtic Park on a Wednesday evening even though most of the seats are not taken up. And bumping into old mates. (G Jar ,Imer) I honestly couldn’t ever imagine being in a better and warmer place. How cool is that. HH.

There wasn’t to much for Johanson to be evaluated on. He passed the ball several times and played one poor ball. Nothing of any note, other than he wants the ball and will demand it.

Will bear that in mind mate – cheers for the tip!

I went to Turkey a number of years ago to a resort and had a great time. Well, difficult not to – I was there with 3 mates on a beerfest! Looking forward to a more cultural experience in a city I’ve wanted to visit for years. Just sorry I can only manage a week. So much to see and do…
