Looking at that Killie goal, it seems DDV is a tad shorter than most goalies these days.
Remember that big Fraser was 6 ft 7. I would guess Craig is taller than Dorus ?
It’s not just height as well. Some friends took me to a LA Lakers game once and explained that the star players also have longer arms as well as being 6 ft 10 or whatever.
I would prefer big Fraser but Craig would be the next choice.

Magic day today in a dreary Paradise, Mrs KLV loved it, 6 goals and flying again, I nearly clapped at the Killie goal, Sweet hit, Our Bhoys dug in and ripped them open, After the ICT and Alloa games someone was going to get humped and Killie got it today, Moussa has great feet, Forrest is a wee cracker when he is in the mood and right now I think he is a better first pick than Paddy until the wee man finds his feet after the injury.
What can you say about Leigh? wee man has it all, the team have a swagger when he’s in it. Simo is class and Erik looked more assured again today, they can be a wall for us. Dorus looks like a bad choice by Brendan and hooking him at HT was ballsy, For me he looked like we just let it go through his hands, sweet hit as i said but Dorus not saved a thing so far since he signed. The whole team relaxed more when Craig came on.

Cracking shot by the Killie player, from the turn that left Brown dead, to the first time shot from 40 yards, brilliant. But simple fact a taller keeper wouldve saved it
I’m just in a bad mood because Hearts done me for a 12 team coupon.

I definitely feel I’ve made a new friend in Doc.
What a great day I had ,got the Crieff Bus down had good craic with a few old pals, met Doc as said earlier, ticket was upper tier 414 met a guy on the stairs going up we both had 3 rests on way up the stairs and a bit of craic , sat between 2 characters from Edinburgh Frankie and Eddie great banter ,telling me about Bobby Evans, then set me a quiz Question . Discounting the Lions who are the 5 players to have played for Celtic and score in the final of UEFA ,Cup Winners or European Cup, I got 3 but nowhere with Last two. Then we had the game itself we played brilliant , I said to Frankie I thought Kieran was like a left footed DanielFergus McGrain. Again thanks to Doc for making my Day with the ticket?HH

Gerry, our team’s performance today was great and when Grace was sung in the standing section, other parts of the ground joined in. It was fantastic to hear.
Did Kris Boydiechenko touch the ball at all today, if he did it must have been in single figures.
Kieran was incredible today.
Moussa’s confidence increased after his goals and played better as a result.
The change in James Forrest is incredible. I thought his tea was oot after some of his performances last season but I’m so pleased he is now starting to fulfill his potential plus is willing to use his left foot more now.
Some lovely passes from Nir today Its the best I have seen him and Broonie play together since the second part of Ronnie’s first season.

Gordon is a better keeper and no DDV hasn’t had any memorable saves as yet but the manager will continue to pick him.
BR obviously doesn’t rate Gordon. In the second half CG had the ball at feet, Killie pushed up and there was no obvious pass on, CG tried to play the ball wide to KT who was close to the halfway line but put it out. BR threw his arms in the air and started yelling at CG, totally out of character from what he’s normally like on the sidelines.
Doc on
Winning Captains, I thought CG had lost form and wasn’t playing well, so wasn’t unhappy to see DDV coming in.
However, I have to agree with you, DDV hasn’t made a save yet, although the screamer today would have caught out many, the lad was 40 yards out and quite wide, so when he hit it few would have anticipated that shot.
Having said that the defence was more settled second half with CG in goal, I hope Craig starts on Wednesday.
There will be more shot saving to be done than playing from the back I think.

He did have a save against Waghorn or whatever he’s called for the deadly bears but off side I think. Anyway agree with you have serious reservations about the bhoy……
How does a team like Celtic, a team domestically superior to anything on offer, go from destroying defensive setup with wave after wave after wave of attack, prepare for challenges they face against the likes of Barca and Man City. I don’t think Man City will come near how well Barca played against us but they will attack more directly while are capable of defending well. How do you step up to this level playing domestically at a level way below us?
Today’s performance once we realised the goal was only 8ft high. That today was a great performance against a very poor team. I am running out of words to praise young Keiran. Dembele will be a star on a bigger stage in 4 or 5 years if he keeps his head and feet on the ground. Wee Jinky Forrest has me wondering what Brendan pours on his flakes. Scott Brown is just outstanding. Bitton and Rogic (what happened to my shooting boots) both excellent. Scott Sinclair’s movement and space awareness, space making and running at defenders is awesome. Siminovic Listig and Eric just strolled.
Surprised to see Gordon warming up at half time and subsequent change. DDV in my opinion wasn’t really at fault for what was an outstanding strike. Definately not at fault enough to change in my opinion. I think Brendan has now made it difficult for himself with his goal keepers as he can’t keep chopping and changing. He has to run with one keeper and build his confidence. Shortly after second half started Gordon kicked a bye kick into touch at dug out and Brendan showed his displeasure more than I’ve seen him react angrily before. He was nine too happy and it shows that he has little time left for Craig. That particular fuse is very short. And as a fan I find that worrying and Brendan’s judgement re. goalkeepers worrying. In Scotland it’s not really a great issue but this will be highlighted more in the CL.

Thirds63 and Tontine Tim, there was a football trivia question on the go which was valid until about ten years ago.
Which five European cities had two teams from it which had played in European Cup semi finals.
The answer was Belgrade , Dundee. Glasgow , Madrid and Milan.
The Dundee and Glasgow answers stumped people.
As thirds63 and Tontine Tim have pointed out , Dundee’s great team with Cousin and Gilzean got to the big cup semi final , a feat repeated by United in 1984 . The dead club got to the semi final in 1960.
I would love to know if any of the Scottish media could answer that question.
