Oliver James Norwood (born 12 April 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Huddersfield Town, having signed from Manchester United in June 2012. Norwood began his career with Manchester United, and had loan spells at Carlisle United, Scunthorpe United and Coventry City. Although he was born in England, and represented that country at under-17 level, he has represented Northern Ireland at every level from under-19 to the senior team.

from Huddersfield forum
In my opinion a profit on Norwood is cracking business, as he has spent about 90% of his town career been nothing short of average and was deadwood. I think the offer smacks of Celtic doing very little prep work. My guess is that when watching Vaughan, Norwood has caught their eye, as he was in the middle of his very good patch, Bolton away, Burnley at home etc.

What I think this says is two things:
1. Our manager doesn’t trust Rogic, McGeogh or anyone else to come in
2. One midfielder at least could be leaving
I wish we could bring through players from our own youth system and PLAY THEM in games in a league we will romp anyway.
This really has been Neil Lennon’s biggest failing given the circumstances we have being 11 in front with a game in hand.

Dead easy. All it takes is some imagination to see.
You have a Celtic side winning a higher proportion of league titles than ever before, apart from the 6iar and 9iar eras.
You have us making European progress since 2001 that we have not seen since 1980.
Our traditional big rivals have gone bust but there is a concerted collusive effort to convince otherwise.
Celtic are in a comfortable top dog situation where their route to consistent attempts at Euro improvement cannot be interfered with easily.
So what would the hun want us to do to spoil this inheritance?
Start to put demands on the manager and players and board to be better than we have any right to expect.
Ask for 18 year olds when you have a team of 22 and 23 year olds.
Ask for bigger wins than you are getting
Ask for all sorts of peripheries that were never that important when you were part of a losing support.
In short, mirror the behaviour of the late 80s and early 90s that felt they should be better than they were and implode into internecine warfare.
Nobody is that bothered by positive criticism of our team. However 90% of what we hear is invective and venting with nothing positive about it. It’s main effect will be to drive out the managers and players that have brought us improvement.

Ulysses, I don’t know if you are still lurking, but here goes. I recognise you as a long time lurker/poster. I also have lurked since near the beginning of the blog, not every day but quite often. About 8 years ago I took the plunge and started posting. However, after a few posts a certain AwNaw insulted me for no apparent reason other than I disagreed with him. I then mentioned a physical problem I have and he immediately made fun of it and from that moment I decided to stop posting. It wasn’t worth it. So bullying is not new to the blog. I have seen Joshybhoy and Sammy and other obvious huns. Just wind-up merchants. They don’t bother me, in fact it can be amusing sometimes. When I say the blog has evolved, I refer to the fact that many posters have now gotten to know each other and meet up at games and have a social get together. Nothing wrong with that, even when some of the personal stuff should be texted and not posted on the blog. My opinion only. You will have noticed what has happened with the GB. People want to be part of it and do not necessarily stick to the unwritten rules of the group. So it is with the blog. Not everyone who is negative or insulting or bullying is a hun or an agent of thems. And by the way, I respectfully ask, if you have been around for so long, why only mention it now because your friend suggested it to you?

What is your greatest emotion regarding Scottish football —
1) Love for the players, history and ethos of the Club
2) Hatred for the TFOD and their football establishment / Ludge / media booster club friends?
The fact that Celtic have changed in the past year goes without saying. Not all change is good, nor is it all bad.
In European terms we have gotten worse, in domestic terms we have performed better.
It is only since the defeat to Barcelona in December that we have had the SMSM and some Celtic supporters up in arms about styles of play.
The huns mkII started all this crap about unbeaten runs and 53 points from 15 games etc. Neil and Celtic have never stated an unbeaten run was a priority, but comments that it is good to be unbeaten at this point in the season have been twisted to do us down.
Is everything rosy in Celtic’s garden? Hell no! But it is in no way as bad as we are being led to believe.
We have a transfer window ahead in which to strengthen the squad. I will leave that sort of thing to those who have their Coaching Badges or are paid substantial amounts to run the club. My job is to support the team as best I can, to criticise as necessary but not to denigrate the club to suit someone else’s agenda.
