Reading the comments from Kilbowie Kelt and Ulysses McGhee regarding the blog and its bloggers. I like the contributions of both of these people as their support for Celtic is neither unquestioning nor inconsiderate of the views of othersalthough I think it’s fair to say that they are probably more positive about things than I am
But I dont agree with them in their criticism of their fellow bloggers. I dare say there are a few hunnite trolls who have contributed here- and I have mixed feelings that I told one I suspected of being such to ‘eff off’ a few weeks ago- but I don’t think there are many contributors [frequent or occasional] that aren’t committed Celts. One of those most regularly criticised by fellow bloggers -and who is much more critical of the current team and Chief Executive than I have ever been- is a friend of mine and he’s has big a Tim as I am.
I like the contributions of some here more than others – and yet there are few ( even TSD) whose every contribution I disagree with though there are plenty who frequently irritate me . This is , I think, a forum for Celts to express their opinions on matters Celtic and just about everything else. I dislike the idea that we should all be ‘happy clappers’ or ‘mine shafters’ and if somebody doesnt fit into your own beliefs then that blogger must be someone who wishes Celtic to fail. I don’t like some of the personal abuse that is bandied about this site now and again but I don’t like witch hunts either.

I’m no scientist, but even to my simple mind evolution is the process that ensures the survival of the strongest and fittest, underpinned by changes that allow a species to adapt and survive in its environment. Has there ever been a species that survived and prospered by devouring itself and allowing parasites to destroy it’s being.
Ulysses as always you articulate the thoughts of many better that I ever could. Time to root out and challenge those who would destroy our club and the Celtic family with their poison.

My problem with the likes of Daly is that if he is what we are aiming at, Pedro has managed to lower our expectation enough that guys like him, whether he would do a job or not is our level.
We have money, we would have more had we not wasted it on Daly level strikers combined with wages.
Lenny has said the past day or so that we need quality, over to you Pedro.
And I have no doubts he would score for us given the amount of balls we punt into the box to no one.
A welcome blast from the past-takes me back-great stuff!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Those who object to honest criticism of the dire football on display from Celtic at the moment are, even though they might not even recognise the fact, trapped in an old firm mentality. Obsessed with how Huns might spot an opportunity for a slagging. Ignore Huns. Ignore the media. Live a more fulfilling life. Embrace the honest debate. If I was to come on here and question the professional competence of our manager I would have page upon page of posts backing my position.
If I was to come on and spout off about a non existent conspiracy involving Celtic, SFA, Peter Lawell and the company that do the cleaning at Area 51, that planned to fast track sevco into the SPFL Premiership, I would be applauded for my clear thinking and leadership.
If I was to come on and praise Neil Lennon or the team or to try and refute the lies I would be lucky to be called only a board apologist.
The CQN of old had its share of negativity but nothing on the scale of now. If Celtic lose it is a catastrophe of the greatest magnitude. When we win it was not by 5.10 or more as befits our position. If we win by 5 or 7 it is only the result of being so far ahead of everyone else that it is meaningless. We are the playground bully when we win well and a team of has beens and never was’ers win we struggle to overcome 11 behind the ball and bent refs.
CQN has changed in the last year or so and not for the better.

Personally think there are a few agitators on CQN. Suppose if they cannot get to us via the SMSM they have to come to the likes of CQN to influence us ?
But that’s the thing we, the support, are Celtic’s Achilles heel. We are easily influenced by them. How often has some negative seed been printed only for the weed to grow in the stands at Celtic Park ?
The constant negativity just now was preceded period when they largely ignored our club’s games. It has an effect on attendances.
I think the Championship next season will be a major focus for the SMSM with the Zombies and their Edinburgh pals fighting it out.

Well done to the hibees , altho seen enough from hearts tonight that , McCoist will need another £20M to get out of league 1 …and maybe more as there will be more than one full time team in the league.
If Hibs, Aberdeen, Dunnde Utd can get their act together it would be a big help to the the league.
On a separate note I also note more disgruntled posters on CQN. No surprise really with all that has happened in the recent months with no striker bought, attacks on the fans by the board , turgid dross in the league and capitulation in the last 3 CL games. The best barometer of how Celtic fans truly feel is attendances at games. They are down by 50% in a few weeks.
Let’s see how the Lawwell responds on buying a striker and a creative midfielder. He will want fans to invest in season tickets in a few months , let’s see if he will invest in the team or hide behind not in our price range excuse.
Celtic traditionally have taken the fans for granted and they are doing so again. The fans are getting wise to it and will watch carefully what happens in January. This is the transfer window to prepare for the CL qualifiers, summer is too late. We even see that buying a gem like Virgil his impact in the CL qualifiers is minimal as he needs settling in time.
The fans are right to heap pressure on Lawwell as it’s the only language he understands. Invest in the team and prepare for the CL or expect the discontent to rise and crowds/STs to fall.
