    Correct!

Hunnery is Celtic PLC’s friend. Celtic PLC want Glasgow Rangers (make no bones about it because that’s who they are) around for the bigot buck. Its all about money and a WWF spectacle.

    ================================================================

    Incorrect.

The Euro bucks come to a vastly greater amount than the parochial pie can provide.

The absence of Rangers makes it immeasurably more likely to get our hands on that little pile.

    That`s the agenda.

    Precisely where it should be.

The rest is pure illogical conjecture and unwarranted unproved suspicion of Board motivation.

    aka Guesswork.

  2. The fans becoming organised and mobile on this issue is the only way proper change will occur.

Selective boycotts with enough publicity would start the ball rolling.

We have been proven not paranoid enough which was a big step. Every journo’s go to response when questions about the refs came up was ‘ that’s paranoia ‘ which I don’t hear much now. Small victory maybe, but important none the less.

We can’t rely on the board to do it as it would be harmful for ‘ business ‘ if this corruption was exposed.

It’s left to the fans IMO.

Do we accept the status quo?

    Or

Do we act and force the change to create a level playing feild that we deserve ?

The key to fixing this problem is when as a support we become conciously aware that ‘ without fans who pay at the turnstiles, football is nothing ‘.

The great man knew where the true power lay, do we?

    Incorrect.

Maggie’s suspicion of the Board’s motivation may be incorrect ( I think there is more to be made from the CL than domestically too) but there are reasons to question what their motivation is that are not based on guesswork but the result of research and investigation by the Res12 lawyer.

As it stands there are more questions than answers but time will tell.

Celtic began the 2015–16 season again attempting to qualify for the Champions League. They knocked out Stjarnan from Iceland and Qarabağ from Azerbaijan in the early qualifying rounds, but lost 4–3 on aggregate to Swedish side Malmö FF in the final play-off round. This meant for the second successive season, Celtic dropped into the Europa League Celtic’s Europa League campaign was poor and littered with individual errors which contributed to dropped points in every match.[193] Celtic failed to qualify after finishing bottom of their group, and was the first time Celtic went through a group stage of a European competition without recording a single victory.

  8. Justification for Maddens performance begins….

That the big talking point at the end of this game was a penalty call that Bobby Madden did not give perhaps told a story in itself; a team who are currently lording it over their rivals – and a 33-point lead constitutes that – shouldn’t necessitate a penalty to secure the points

    Allison O’Connell Evening Times

  9. Neil Cameron in the Herald

But the champions-elect were denied a blatant penalty right at the end. Referee Bobby Madden did not have a good match. His performance will be discussed for a long time.

  11. Good morning CQN from a cold, clear but frost free East Devon.

Very disappointed about yesterday, wonder if Madden will be phoning anyone this morning to apologise for his performance.

  12. Good morning, friends from a damp underfoot, dry overhead, broken clouded and slightly breezy East Kilbride.

  13. So who’s complaint will be top of the ‘Don’t give a duck’ inbox at Celtic Park today. A new pile sitting on top of all the res12 complaints.

Why are people writing to a good ghuy who’s role is just a wee act of appeasement enforced on club by UEFA in a pretence that they care about the fans.

Swamp Peter Lawells office with your complaints, don’t do it from your arm chair using the ether. Put it in an envelope and pop a queeny on it.

Otherwise it’ll be ignore and delete.

Anyway, it’ll not matter. We are talking Last 16 champs league level pricing here. A wee complaint over the blue pound and all the extra green pounds from us old firm fans.

Only one action will make a difference and we all know what that is.

Hoping to read a hard hitting article today from P67 with no appeasement to calm the fans anger.

  14. Travelled up for the game. Will be heading home in a couple of hours disappointed with the outcome, but more because of the way we played yesterday.

25 minutes gone and I said to my son that too many of our players hadn’t started yet. Was grateful Craig had managed to block Waghorn’s effort.

Scotty and Moussa seemed uncharacteristically lethargic, Eric was extremely lax at the back and our midfield was toiling to get a foothold with only Armstrong getting pass marks.

I watched Bitton very closely on numerous hun attacks and I can tell you he was everywhere that the ball wasnt! Aimlessly wandering around at half pace.

25 mins in and we started to get a foothold in midfield . Broony picked up the pace and both he and Stuart looked excellent. Problem was that all our possession was breaking down with Scotty and Moussa still not at the races.

The excellent strike from Armstrong should have seen us kick on, but for me, Moussa and Scott had clearly decided to make the half day holiday a full day, Forrest wasn’t quite at it, and most others simply weren’t having a good day.

Unusually, none of the subs really had any impact of note, and I’d have taken the scrappy 1-0.

At 1-1 I’d have accepted it as a fair outcome based on the balance of play.

Not to be however, as the sense of fairness I was feeling was kicked out of me with Madden’s decision on the ‘ penalty’

I’ve actually defended Madden in the past as a ref who I felt that despite his background as a Rangers supporter, was one who hadn’t particularly appeared on my hun radar in the past.

With that in mind, I put a couple of his earlier decisions down to simply being mistaken in what he thought he’d witnessed. That viewpoint has now changed to reflect what most of my mates had tried to tell me for years. Sadly.

So it’s with a sense of disappointment as I say, that I make my way home this morning, but believe me, some positive will come out of this.

At Hampden in April you can bet your life it’ll be a more aggressive and focused Celtic side that makes its way to the cup final. Comfortably, even accounting for the impact of whichever official Rangers have in their team as the ref.

We will not lose that semi final. I’ll console myself with that thought as I face the 300 miles drive this morning.

    Hail hail bhoys.

  15. Well, that was THE most errorstrewn(?) performance we have played all season. A collection of bad individual performances. Off the boil. Bad day at the office. Call it what you will.

We’re still unbeaten. It’s a reminder to the squad they HAVE to work hard, nothing is given. DO NOT expect referees to do their job.

I called it yesterday and unfortunately I was right. Madden should be sacked and never allowed to ref another match. He won’t. He’ll receive much back slapping for his performance. It’s an utter disgrace.

Still happy to be a Celt. HH.

No time to read back but just wanted to say…..

The non-penalty is simply an example of a blatantly obvious piece of dishonest biased refereeing.

What needs to be challenged by all teams though is the referees’ condoning of The Rangers’ tactic of violent, dangerous tackling. The last two games pĺayed by the new team provide easy examples.

The question HAS to be asked and answered. The players need to know what rules they are playing to when facing this team.

They have careers to think of.

  17. Oh at first I was bemused by BRs decision to hook Armstrong. I now realise it was for his own protection. They were trying to seriously injure that lad.

Disappointment during the match yesterday has given way to annoyance this morning. Admittedly many of our players were well below par but the receree deserves every excoriation for his biased performance.

However, my criticism of him is pale to what johnjames produces this morning in his latest salvo against Madden.

It’s looking unlikely. Maybe all isn’t lost though. I wonder if I could do something for all of the Celtic faithful rather than just my personal satisfaction? I wonder if any of them would consider taking up refereeing?

  25. It is possible to have Euro money, and the financial backstop that The Old Firm concept provides.

All it needs is a version of the huns who aren’t very good. Because the rivalry has nothing to do with football. It’s just about bigotry and sectarianism.

From a business perspective the current setup is ideal.

  26. Celtic looked nervous in the first half and only just got into second gear second half. The sevco players were far less skilful, but had aggression in spades and were HUNgry for it. We need to match that aggression to make space for our more skilful hoops to get well in front of these wee teams who will do anything for a draw. Madhun waiving play on after Griff is halved was the establishment dig but didn’t change the fact that we stopped playing our own game. Work to do before the semi, need to crush them with everything we’ve got to spoil there 2017 draw party.

Word Origin and History for cheat

mid-15c., “to escheat,” a shortening of Old French escheat, legal term for revision of property to the state when the owner dies without heirs, literally “that which falls to one,” past participle of escheoir “befall by chance, happen, devolve,” from Vulgar Latin *excadere “to fall away,” from Latin ex- “out” (see ex- ) + cadere “to fall” (see case (n.1)). Also cf. escheat. The royal officers evidently had a low reputation. Meaning evolved through “confiscate” (mid-15c.) to “deprive unfairly” (1580s). To cheat on (someone) “be sexually unfaithful” first recorded 1934. Related: Cheated ; cheating.

Well, we should, given the events of 2012 when supporters stopped the admission of Sevco to the SPL,by threatening chairmen with non-renewal of season tickets prior to a vote being taken in July 2012.

Such cross-club agreement would be much more difficult with regards to refereeing bias.

However, if the upcoming appeal fails on EBTs, and LNS is not re-visited as a consequence, a similar appetite to opposing injustice may emerge.

  31. We all knew that before this game the only was Sevco would come way via the MIB and low and behold that is exactly what happened.

Celtic however never got into the game. Why, I have absolutely no idea. Of all the games excluding Europe you would have thought they would have been up for this one.

The pitch was awful, but then again it’s been awful for other games that they played the opposition off the park. Roll on the new £2m pitch

Both Beaton and Madden have recently allowed career threatening assaults on Accies and Celtic players to go unpunished. I sincerely hope Brendan is talking to the Celtic power brokers behind the scene along the lines of how can I bring the success that this this club expects when we allow potential career breaking assaults on my players that go unpunished and do nothing. Do something about this or I will.
