  1. OH. MY. GOD.

C’mon guys. It is what it is.

Please stop the moaning and “WHINGING” about the industrial tactics of our opponents supported by the refs and the SFA and enjoy the victory in spite of them.

It is what it is after all.

Let’s dance and celebrate our victory with a few crap bottles of Champagne.

While drunk on celebration we will hope for another victory next weekend while caring not a jot for the health nor the safety of those we rely on to slay our foe. What’s a broken leg here or a bit of ligament damage there amongst celebrations.

    Crack ’em open.

Away for a Turkish bath. :-@)))

  2. Gooooood Morning CQN :-)

Didn’t post yesterday, do not recognise the team we were playing, or the FtSFA

How much longer are our club going to tolerate the brutal assaults on the pitch, and the media calling out for a more robust approach from their favoured, this Saturday ?

Calum McGregor, I am not a fan, but will support you when in a Celtic jersey – what a goal and effort from you, very well done son.

I hope we can sign Patrick Roberts, in the summer.

    Yesterday

The most relaxed Glasgow derby I’ve ever watched I think. Thistle caused us many more challenges.

    Hunnish behaviour

Sadly sooner rather than later we’ll suffer a career ending ‘challenge’. And it’ll most be likely be on one of most skilful. Stand up now please CFC leadership.

  6. John McGinn is a good player for Jobs, but Celtic,i think its time Brendan gives some development players ,some first team football,

  7. At least I’ve got one thing in common with Messi.

Luis Enrique preferred to concentrate on Lionel Messi’s exploits. He said: ‘He is decisive even when he’s at home eating his dinner. He is the greatest player in th world.

  8. I was walking through Bellahouston Park yesterday evening and up on the hill I came across this swarthy looking gentleman with gleaming teeth and a large smile on his face. I asked him why he looked so happy and he replied.

“You see that fence that goes round the park, well I built that fence. Do they call me Pedro the fence builder? No.”

“You see those houses over there in Govan I built those houses. Do they call me Pedro the house builder? No.”

He then pointed towards the Clyde. “You see those boats over there I built those boats. Do they call me Pedro the boat builder? No.”

“You lose one game to the mighty Championees Celtic and now they call me Pedro the Fenian b@$tard. This Senhor makes me very happy.”

  9. If Celtic are to speak out on the assaults on our players, Brendan and his staff will be the ones that instigate it. If Brendan deems it necessary he will instruct PL to act and actively speak out himself through the media. Laying the blame at the PLC is risible and vacuous.

  10. Cowiebhoy giving McGregor guarded praise is akin to the Bhoy getting the Ballon D’Or.

    I agree btw big chap!

  11. McGregorinho was magnificent. The goal was Messi like and they couldn’t get close to him all day. It was a mastersroke to play him rather than Rogic. It had the Huns bamboozled.

  12. Greetings from a slightly cloudy Brunei which is keeping the temperature down to a manageable 30*C.

I do believe I came across a couple of zombies about half an hour ago. I was out at a supermarket in Belait, looking resplendent in my Celtic top, whilst the wife was out earning a few shekels to keep me in beer and fart nuts. Suddenly I turned the aisle and was confronted by two “milk bottles” with Scottish accents. They grunted an acknowledgment to which I replied “howzitgaun” with a big cheesy on ma coupon. Nothing else was said :-))))

  13. My Facebook is ‘mixed company’ so to speak.

Said nothing on it ref the Glasgow derby as I don’t take ‘banter’ we’ll do don’t give it out.

Though I am worried about leniency shown for some of the horrendous career threatening challenges our players have been on the end of

  17. IF….BIG IF, Celtic did take a pre match decision to walk off the pitch this Saturday in the face of unpunished thuggery etc etc, then it MUST be taken out of the hands of the Celtic players. I dismay when I read others suggesting otherwise.

What part of this POSSIBLE ACTION do others not get…when I have posted about Celtic players and staff being protected, I mean in EVERY WAY, and that means taking any such pre match decision in the Celtic Board Room, not the feckin dressing room.

IF Celtic players were allowed any say in such POSSIBLE action, they would for ever be accused of being cowards etc.

Have some on here never heard of managers, coaches medical staff at any club, clearly stating that many players need to be protected from themselves ?

Over the years many managers at many clubs have allowed a player to decide whether they are fit or not to start a match after injury, that is a farcical situation to put a player and club in for the obvious reason that most players will say that they are okay to play when they are not.

The POSSIBLE scenario of having Celtic players making such a decision to walk off in protest is much the same as the medical one above, as I would imagine that most if not all, Celtic players would want to carry on with the game, irrespective of what the Hun and the MIB are up to….that’s in most players nature………….it does NOT make it right !

Interesting to read Taveniers statement about 5th official Don Robertson and the Celtic penalty that shouldn’t have been ?

Clown Tav is implying that Don Robertson cheated by telling the ref to award the penalty solely based on what happened at Ross County last week……………..surely that’s for the Compliance Officer to look at Tav’s claims, as Tav is questioning the so called “Honesty” of an official…is that not “Bringing the game into disrepute” ?

Tav’s claim that The Griff told him “It wasn’t a penalty”, made me laugh even louder.

I tend to believe that Griff probably DID say that Tav, just to feckin wind him right up, I have did the same in my playing days many years ago., as most opponents become even MORE raging when their opponent agrees with them, and has them believing that his team have been wronged ?

So IF Griff did say that to Tav, it wouldn’t surprise me one little bit….it just makes Tav look even more of a clown for believing The GrffBhoy.

Put on my t-shirt with the Lisbon ticket on it yesterday. I’d forgotten I had that, and it went down a storm with the troops as we battered the huns, sang some songs, and quaffed a few cold ones.

Trying to be smart, the sole hun in the company asked…

    “What’s that meant to be?”

“Ah'”I replied. “I wouldn’t expect you to know. A European Cup Final ticket. How much of the game are you expecting to see?”

If he hadn’t just bought a round,he wouldn’t have lasted the first fifteen minutes. Couldn’t down his pint fast enough!

I wonder where he’ll be on Saturday. I could do wi rubbing his baldy napper for luck again.

  19. Pedro the Water Juggler….Was it The HOLY WATER Ped ?

Pedro has stated that he invited Brendan for a bottle of Wine after the game on Saturday, and that is what he said in Brendans ear at the final whistle ?

Wait a minute….” Water and Wine” being associated with the same man, where have I read that before ?

It’s a totally ridiculous non argument.

It looks pretty clear that it’s Griffith’s who gets a touch on the ball – but IF, even IF – we accept it was Tavernier, the ball was certainly not going dead and he has wiped Griffiths out from what was a clear scoring position.

It’s the clearest penalty you will see all season, any way you choose to look at it.

  24. BMCUW, good morning. Aye me and CCB can have a we natter about Gütersloh and the land of your birth whilst you are getting the drink in for the pre-match swally on the 27th, lol. :-))

Looking forward to Lisbon and meeting up at last. At least Lisbon is on the same time zone as Glasgow.

  25. Not been on the blog for a while but thought I’d pop in for a wee bit following yesterday’s game.

Firstly, my condolences to SFTB on the passing of his brother and to Park Road on the passing his friend. Prayers will be offered up for both.

Yesterday’s game was as straightforward a victory as I’ve seen against the huns. I was only slightly disappointed that we took the foot off the gas in the 2nd half, though some of that is certainly down to the refereeing. Even simply decisions like giving a foul against Leigh as he tried to get round the hun defender and a few minutes later when Lustig was shoved at the other end of the park to give them a corner. All these add up. I have no doubt the refs get to look at performance stats at halftime and Collum would have noticed the huns had committed 7 fouls while Celtic has none – something which he clearly felt needed to be evened up.

The very bad decisions however were those glaring ones that have been the main talking points of the game. I’ll add my voice to those of others who have pointed out that, if this is allowed to continue, then at some point one of our players will receive a career-ending assault.

The SFA could make and sell a DVD of unbelievable refereeing decisions this season alone.

I have no idea if the huns play in the same manner against other teams, but it’s completely unacceptable. Celtic need to address the issue of referee cheating now while we’re so far ahead of the pack.

  26. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    TIMMALONEWILLTELL

Tavernier didn’t get near the ball. And his intention was to take the player out to stop the break on goal.

Same with Halliday on Paddy. And Kieran took a right few sore ones without any protection from Collum.

TR could have had his leg snapped at the knee,no free kick but booked seconds later for next to nowt.

Etc,etc, etc. The opposition make life difficult for the ref by behaving like thugs, but the rules make it easy for him to stop it.

If he ignores the sanctions the rules allow him, then the thugs are just gonna ignore him and the rules.

Hence yesterday and so so many other games.

As for having insurance,I hope Celtic don’t have that as their reason for ignoring the well-being of their employees. Someone at the club needs to be very vocal about this, and I dare the SFA to bring a disrepute charge.

  27. TIM MALONE,

Tavs just literally accused a match official of cheating, due tot he wrong decision he made in Celts v County game……….that is ” according to the feckin rules……bringing the game into disrepute” !

The Compliance Officer should be sending Mr Tav a letter to appear in the dock….ah but will he ?

    HH MATE.

    BMCUWP,

Lets just hope that Celtic players aren’t laid oot on stretchers this Saturday….this mob NOW more than ever have NOTHING to lose. I hope The Heroic Celtic players aren’t deemed the walking wounded after this Saturday ?

    HH mate.

  28. When Celtic beat Sevco 5-1 in the first ever league game at Celtic Park we were playing flat out for 90 minutes. Yesterday much like the 2-0 Ronny Deila semi final way back in the early Sevco days, we were playing to instruction to knock the ball about and not bother running up the goals tally, or busting a gut.

I like this tactic and its all the more in store for the next Sevco pumping at the Dome on Saturday. We’ve already beaten them just the four times from five, though you’ll only read about it on Celtic pages.

Dembele will be a big miss, so it’ll be Griffiths to lead with the possibility of Aitchison coming on a la Shaun Maloney against the original club that played

    in the Crumbledome.
