It’s a totally ridiculous non argument.

It looks pretty clear that it’s Griffith’s who gets a touch on the ball – but IF, even IF – we accept it was Tavernier, the ball was certainly not going dead and he has wiped Griffiths out from what was a clear scoring position.

It’s the clearest penalty you will see all season, any way you choose to look at it.

    ___

Yeah. Let’s not forget that Griffiths also nutmegged Beerman who then fouled him in the box by pulling his shirt.

The ref gave the foul against Griff. Was laughable.

Good Morning Bhoys and Well done yesterday to Brendan and the Bhoys.I understand those who write on here about there concern for the players on Saturday at Ibrokes. However, our players are men and not a group of wee Bhoys and if push comes to shove I am sure can look after themselves. The Rangers will I am sure be up for it but Celtic just have to keep control of the ball as they did in the first half on Sunday and we will be to good for them for me a possible biggar concern would be the loss of Scott Brown. H.H.

Spot on, how the cheat Collum could penalise Griffiths was as you said, laughable, unless it’s now a foul for nutmegging a Sev defender…..

Brendan just said he picked Paddy over James as he played against Beerman in an under-21 game for England…… Also think BR loves Broony as much as I do

  4. Cosy Corner Bhoy on

Just catching up. Condolences to SFTB and Park Road.

    Enjoyed game.We stuffed them 2-0!

A wee shout for Neeson’s bar in Allison Street.Well worth a pre final pint.Bloody long walk to South stand though……

  5. SFTB and Park Road May your brother and friend rest in peace on the other side. Look after yerselves and your families. Remember the good times.

That was easy. How did they get to challenge for third, and I thought the original Rangers were rubbish, sevco are a poor cheap imitation. Looking forward to gubbins them at iPox next weekend. Our players need more protection, Celtic needs to make that very clear to the sevco football association.

6 more games for Brendans bhoys to become the invincibles. How amazing would that be. Every game a cup final. Mon the hoops, make history. Hail Hail.

Tom Rogic got booked for the Sev defender running his studs down his shin, Collum is a joke of a ref

  7. Gerryfaethebrig on

Rod Stewart now coming up on Talksport, by all accounts Jim Whyte is still stuck in Glasgow after and I quote “his team got horsesed in yesterday’s semi final”

As I said yesterday,he’s a shitebag. Scared to apply the rules properly, scared to do what he is very highly paid to do.

He can say with some justification that usual rules don’t apply to the Scottish game. And he’d go way up in my estimation if he did just that.

  9. CultsBhoy - Believes in Brendan on

I didn’t watch the entire game only the highly edited highlights that bore little resemblance to general reporting of the game.

However I suspect what is really disturbing Sevco supporters is the chrystalisation of reality laid bare before them. It appears likely that Celtic can and will improve the squad and team over the summer. It also now seems inevitable that with the non renewal of contracts and the return of loan players that the team from Ibrox will be weakened next season. The focus is now on King and they are seeing a depressing reality.

The big question will be can they stregnthen suffivciently to compete for 2nd place.. or 3rd or depending on Hibs and Hearts..4th or 5th?

  10. Had a confab with a sevconionan earlier this week,he thought broonie would not make much difference.

I told him our leader would be man of the match.

Just passed he and quietly said TELT YE!!!!!!!

  11. Bhoys and Ghirls,

With the greatest respect to all concerned. Walking off the park next week is a total non starter.

Apart from asking our club, players and fans to forget about the treble, forget about a possible “10 in a Row ” and be open to riducle; we should go to Greyskull as champions, history makers and as men.

Fight fire with fire, and demonstrate that we will not be pushed about or bullied by anybody. We know we have skill, lets show that we have steel.

We have always had officials who have tried to derail our progress. This is not a new concept.

Would our former players have contemplated walking off the park . Players like :-

    Danny McGrain,

    Jim Brogan

    Davie Hay

    Roy Aitken

    Tommy Gemmell

    Pat Crerand

    John Clark

    Alan Tompson

    Neil Lennon

    etc, etc, etc.

No a chance in hell, they would have welcomed the challenge.

This is what we should do. If they want physical, give them it.

Im sure Callum McGregor ( who is soooo improved and impressive ) et al, can provide the right attitude to counter Sevco.

After all the Sevco players are amateur thugs, in comparrison to some of the Rangers thugs we have faced down over the years.

HH to all, the journey continues.

There Re many Celtic fans who will appreciate Broony long after he has hung up his boots, even Brendan said on the radio earlier “I didn’t realise how good a footballer Scott was until I started working with him”

Scott will retire with loads of trophies and his interaction with the fans will be legendary, as many others have said Scott gets us :-)

    10) Aberdeen steel themselves for talent exodus

It may be that the Scottish Cup final marks both the high and end point for the squad as assembled by Derek McInnes at Pittodrie. Consistency of selection and the building of an experienced team have been key to Aberdeen’s gradual development. And yet, curiously, other clubs have not tried to poach their best talent. That may now change. The captain, Ryan Jack, is out of contract in the summer. Niall McGinn will move to England while Championship interest is also inevitable in the impressive Jonny Hayes, Graeme Shinnie and Kenny McLean. McInnes himself, after a wounding time at Bristol City, will inevitably relish another spell south of the border. Aberdeen’s fans are right to enjoy this season’s climax, with second place in the league almost assured and now a Hampden showpiece to come. A degree of enforced upheaval might be the cost of success thereafter.

  14. Moonbeams,

Once again you come on with your crap “Doubting I am a Bhoy”.You can doubt all you want.I am in no doubt you are a snide. And a very unfunny one at that.Get a new script writer.

Referees?.Is this a new thing?.Have I been watching Celtic for 50 years and this has become a new phenomenon?.We have always had this playing against the scum. And,I may add, from guys that would make this present Sevco mob look like weaklings.Older fans will remember,Davis,Shearer, from the 60s.Greig,Forsyth,who would half you in two without batting an eyelid. If Wee Bertie had been on the field on Sunday, that weakling Hun Halliday would not have finished the game.

Give it back to them.Wee Bertie gave it back to Bremner,Giles,Hunter, and every Hun thug he came up against. Can never remember Danny Mc Grain taking any prisoners,or Davie Hay.

when Halliday did that tackle on Paddy,he should have been surrounded by our players threatening him with severe repercussions in the next tackle.

Aye,I get that. And I see your point. Many agree with you on it,no doubt about that.

    But…

Rosa Parkes didn’t settle for the back of the bus. And-despite that being where all the singing usually takes place-neither should we.

You have to admit that taking the law into our own hands has been a non-starter for a good few years now. Broonie got that last week.

So what sanctions are left to us? The only one I can think of is to publicly and vociferously declare that we’re not putting up with it anymore.

As I said,I’d love to see the SFA bring a disrepute charge for that!

Btw,I hope you’ve got some champagne left. By my reckoning you might need three more this season.

    One-next week.

    Three-cup final day,hopefully TrebleYell Day

The guy was clueless in a terrible Qatar league and should be nowhere near Ibrox but he is now and we have to get used to it. No manager should be getting the blame for this amount of fuckin dross that Warburton brought here.

He has no chance next week either…….”

  20. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Why the in-fighting guys ? Surely no need.

A few things Calum hasn’t become Messi overnight. Nor was he deserving of the comments recently.

He is a good player going forward, capable of getting up in support speedily. None of our central midfielders do that as well. Pass and move Forward is another attribute.

Despite Celtic’s constant ball retention, our goal came from a long ball. We need to be more forward thinking and deliver it faster.

  22. Strip away the noise and hype and Celtic played an average SPFL side yesterday. In their heads the huns believe they’re still important but their eyes must tell them they’re impotent. They are an impostor club with ordinary players and a calamity waiting to happen manager. In the real world they are no threat to us.That reality must severely piss them off when a chink of lucidity opens up to them and exposes what it’s actually like outside of the hate bubble they exist in.The thought of the aopoplectic torment they must have been in yesterday brings a grin to my heart.

Anywho, enough about thems. Our bhoys were class, totally dominant and in control.I thought Broonie was imperious,he played with a disciplined aggression and stamped his authority all over the game.He was a captain in every sense of the word.

Paddy,Callum and Jozo were top performers too.Callums goal was a beautiful finish and his overall performance reached new heights for him.Very pleasing to watch.

More of the same this Saturday please. The Esapanyolification must continue. ;))

  23. My good lady and I will be in Troon for the coming weekend.
