  1. A terrific performance by the team yesterday with all the players doing their bit. I thought Carl Starfelt was excellent yesterday. .

    Maeda gives us so much energy and eagerness to do well for the team. Giorgios could have wilted after that Livi game but he has shown great mental strength to come back into the team and go on his scoring run. He really riled the Ross County centre backs , Baldwin and Iacovitti , yesterday with the former aiming a kick at Giorgios off the ball during the first half .

    Mackay is the perfect man to be the next Hearts manager . He is in the same mould as Jeffries, Levein and Nielsen . A moaning, greetin , torn faced man.

    ‘Regarding Big Jimmy’s situation, no one should have to send someone an email over 3 weeks ago and have to chase it up. What kind of customer service is that?’

    ###

    There are no customers on here. The site is free to use. There are very few site rules. Big Jimmy was banned previously for breaking the rules. He was allowed back on. I assume he broke the rules again and was therefore banned again. I’m not sure that he has much cause for complaint.

    Maybe a bit less self entitlement by those petitioning for his return might not go amiss.

  3. Marspapa, they also missed out Ross County’s Callachan deliberately barging into Carter-Vickers , near the end of the game . Callachan and Mackay were complaining about the foul being awarded. From my view it looked a dangerous challenge by Callachan.

    All good here … hope C is feeling better, one of my big sisters tested positive yesterday as well and feels garbage …. Covid has effected many families the last few years but you know me always trying a take the glass half full approach now “hybrid” working so only 2 days a week in the office … every cloud and all that … by the way I never got asked that “are you a Hun” when I first joined the site 7yrs ago so cheers I know feel accepted :-)

  5. I said the same to the guy next to me after about 10 minutes. There had already been about 3 or 4 kicks on our players after the ball was away. Tbh, I was quite surprised. I don’t associate Ross County with that sort of “play”. Maybe Malky McKay is to blame.

    I also think Starfelt is a far better defender than some people think, as you know I love Maeda and the effort he puts in, actually a very good return in goals as well, I am looking forward to the day him & Kyogo are in the same line up …. On Starfelt there was a good wee interview on Tic TV and he seems to think Juranovic is the loudest player in the dressing room, Carl seems to be loving his time with us … just hope CCV stays as the two of them seem to be building a very good understanding, and at Celtic our centre halves are so important as they are probably the most exposed part of our team …. Hence easy targets when a mistake is made

    My feelings as well. I have never met Mckay and for all I know he is a great guy but the impression I have taken is that he is a phoney who promotes the idea the `Fitba` is a Man`s game` ie violence before skill.

    The ref was poor yesterday.i would like to think if the RC player had been given a yellow it may have tempered the challenge that got him the red.

    Alas not,incidences occur and no action is taken imo gives a nod to the cluggers to go full on into players,and they don’t hold back.we pulled them all over the place.

    You are correct …. BUT even on an Internet forum there is a bit of goading … if Big Jimmy broke the house rules fair play … but surely you’d prefer actual Celtic fans on a Celtic fans forum ?

    Surely we all can forgive and move on from a few sweary words

    Reading back. Can’t believe people are criticising Gia’s penalty.”

    I didn`t know that anyone had ( criticised) but if they did, their knowledge of this aspect of football is not as good as Gia`s penalty taking !

    Great to see the camaraderie. Juranovic in particular looks like the epitome of “a right good team mate” (copyright Gordon Strachan)

  12. I thought Celtic were very good yesterday full of movement and energy all over the pitch, their keeper kept the score down and seemed to constantly waste time, goals aplenty the way we are playing, onto the next game .

    Not in the least surprised that a limited, physical team put the boot in, it’s referees that don’t deal with it is the issue.

  13. Free BJ — no chance.

    Erse of a guy who has never managed to leave the playground.

    Better that we put out a call for the “wee stoatir” who chucked him in 1972.

    She seems to have been the brains of that particular operation.

    The guy is a complete walloper — no great issue / there are a lot of them about — but he is dangerous in any social situation and so he has proved on CQN on many occasions.

    Not a fan of banning people — better they are allowed to open their mouth and provide evidence of how stupid they are than they are banned / martyred / remembered as the saint they never were.

    But CQN is P67’s gaff — his rules apply.

    To those still bumping their gums — get over it.

  14. FWIW my assessment from yesterday:

    Joe Hart: Untested;

    Juranovic: Infectious enthusiasm but a wee bit wayward on occasion;

    CCV: Another example of a perfectly controlled performance;

    Starfelt: Lively and effective;

    Taylor: Unbridled enthusiasm and a fine input;

    Rogic: Looking good `till he was kicked out of the game;

    O`Riley: Smooth as silk but a wee bit off it;

    McGregor: Brilliant……as always;

    Hatate: Class act;

    Jota: Brilliant.

    Giakoumakis: Just the man for that role;

    Maeda: Speed and boundless energy create many problems for defenders.

    Bitton: Smooth as silk;

    Abada: This boy will be excellent;

    Ralston: So good to be able to bring on a player like this;

    Turnbull: Just easing himself back in. Right idea.

    Excellent summary.

  16. 3-0 up and absolutely cruising it. Guy gets sent off fir what looked a clear red card challenge but in any case should have been his second yellow. It Made no material difference to the outcome of the game. Our player leaves the field injured. We are denied one stonewall penalty, possibly another that might be given to teams not wearing green and white hoops.

    Yet somehow there are some zombie minded folks and a delusional ex celtic player now manager claiming the red card changed the game.

    Never mind the catalogue of shocking challenges our bhoys have been on the receiving end of this season which have not resulted in deserved red cards.

    Good grief

    I don’t make the rules. But if someone who has broken them more than once is wanting back on then at least a show of repentance and indication of a desire of amendment by his proxies should be the order of the day, not more of the same arrogance and exceptionalism.

  18. I live in hope that Dundee might put up a better performance this week but I’m going to ignore their game and enjoy my Sunday afternoon.

    Have a great day folks.

    On yesterday’s performance he seems to be a frustrated midfielder.

    I’d love to know what AP really thinks about his nonchalant passing of the ball across an open goal mouth.

    Is it an omen?

  21. Based on no more that it’s a funny old game I wouldn’t be too surprised if the huns drop points today.

  22. Good Afternoon Celts…

    Trust you are well, been a while and great to see the team and ethos really coming together.

    I was up in Scotland earlier in the week for my Uncle Frank’s funeral a very bitter sweet experience but couldn’t stay on for the game yesterday.

    Thought it was great for Celtic to pay a tribute of one minutes silence and the players to wear the black arm bands – it would mean so much to the family.

    His eldest son captured Frank Connor wonderfully in a eulogy and talked of his 4 Fs.

  23. Tom McLaughlin on

    When Celtic fans disrupted the start of our game at Dens Park Andy Walker on Sky said, “It’s childish. It’s pathetic.”

    Today the huns do it and not a word from Walker. What a coward and a creep.

  24. I totally understand the Huns performances in Europe have yielded terrific results …. But in 2022 Gio”s domestic record is pish …. They will probably win today but that doesn’t cover the fact his league results are very poor …. I wonder what the reaction would be “if” Ange had his record

  25. Tom McLaughlin on

    That’s 3 times they’ve held up the game. The GB did it once, made their point and that’s it.

    Walker calmly explaining the reasons behind the protest, but no condemnation. Rat.
