Sadly it’s only gonna get worse and the ” Diddy Teams ” will fall by the wayside, I reckon that in ten years time there will be a very small elite competition and the rest will be grateful for any crumbs that are to be had.
People are so gullible, they will swallow just about anything, it will be long enough before the bubble is for bursting.
I stopped watching them, watching the darts now, they have been brutal tonight, will prob still win right enough cos they have the class that can turn it on, but they are not clicking like they did against us.

Driving back from the game yesterday I heard Keevins bumming up next week’s encounter at Ibrox. He was claiming that the majority of supporters from both clubs are already dismissing this week’s league cup matches as almost an irrelevance in comparison to the weekend Glasgow derby.
Wrong Hugh.
Another treble awaits for us Tims. A defeat on Wednesday ends that completely. A defeat on Saturday is a minor blip on the road to 7 in a row.
Our priorities have altered somewhat and by God it feels good.

Completely agree, pretty sure that’s why so many of our first 11 were benched yesterday.
In public Brendan would never prioritise over the two but I’m almost certain that privately if he could only be successful in one, it would be Wednesday.
Talking of Zulu did you know that one of the soldiers in the film came from Govan.
His screen name was Tom Gerard.
Came from a good tim family.

The only call I heard in reply was a Tim agreeing with Keevins.
Desperate stuff.

Evening BRT&H, nice bit of perspective on the media and branding in the game.
So if nothing changes more and more people will be interested in fewer and fewer teams and games. Branding and Marketing do that, if that is where they(those paying for the marketing) want to go, unless you can come up with a more interesting story to tell, and against leviathans such as these clubs it would have to be a helluva story.
We do have that at Celtic, at least to an extent. I’m not suggesting we could break this cycle, but just we have something to say.
So what to do as an alternative for all the medium sized clubs in the smaller associations?
Or even medium sized clubs in big countries?
FFP imposed?
There doesn’t seem to be a will for that, see PSG’s summer signings for evidence of that.
Loan is it, aye right.
What can be done by teams like Athetic Madrid and many other clubs in Spain to get their own FA to market all the football in their country evenly.
Or EUFA at CL level?
Looks like a European Super League may well be the destination.
And I do agree, that is damaging to us all.

I see the PSG supporters are copying the Glasgow’s Green and White chant, Lyon must be thanking Celtic for softening them up, they are pish tonight, we could give them a game on this form :-)

We have 3 away games in the next 10 days – the least important is against sevco
– need to beat Dundee to maintain treble chance
– Need to get something against Anderlecht – Euro footie after Christmas
Good night all

HT,
I heard that too,
it`s the only thing they have left to talk about,
we will run away with the league and the huns
will struggle to reach a European place,
if we focus enough the double treble should be achieved

I wonder if our msm merchants of doom will have noticed Ross County playing to Europe’s 4th highest attendance yesterday.
Bayern 71000 (world’s biggest fan membership)
Spurs 67000 (Wembley)
Athletico Madrid 67000 (grand opening of new stadium).
It won’t get a mention of course but there’ll be a two page interview with the Portuguese Stanley Unwin no doubt.

SOT.
Kind of my thinking from the Latin “to hear”. Odeon , sort of translating as ” all hear, here “.
A very plausible explanation to be fair from the Oscar man.
